I’m ready – an honest conversation.

Hi everyone! How are you doing? Today I’m ready for an honest conversation about something thats been on my mind lately. I’ve felt it so intensely and I think it’s finally time to bring it up. I want to know if you feel the same way. Lets talk about the fact that….

….I think it’s autumn now!! πŸπŸ‚πŸπŸ€ I don’t care what the offical dates are, I physically feel it and I couldn’t keep it to myself. I also couldn’t announce it in a normal way, I had to draw you in, there were no two ways about it! My apologies if I got you excited but I bet the intrigue is still there because Fall/Autumn!? My GOD, it’s exciting!!!

I’m sure you’ll forgive me, it’s simply the way of our relationship πŸ₯². We move on, clickbait and all.

I’m no longer feeling Summery. We’ve had our first really cold day here in the South East of Ireland and golden leaves are falling from the trees! I literally opened our front door to collect the post and there was a breeze, then brown leaves fell down from what seemed like the sky and I just couldn’t contain my joy. The smile on my face was held within me for the rest of my day and whatever I do, I’m constantly reminded that we must be in autumn now. Even the clothes I wear now scream Fall, I had to put on a sweater yesterday over what I was wearing as it was just so cold!

Please don’t tell me I’m the only one that loves this whole vibe?? My only regret is that I wish we had had a barbecue this Summer but it wasn’t to be! I don’t yearn for Summer days anymore tho. I recently treated myself to some new clothes for a super exciting period of time that is coming up in my life (Now THAT won’t be clickbait, I promise you! 🀣) and the majority of what I bought are clothes for colder weather. I recall posting here on the blog about getting rid of old clothes that no longer suit or fit me and how there were 14 sacks (HERE is that post – about minimalism of all things!). Well long story short, I thought I needed replacements! πŸ‘•

I’m moving forward in life and this new season reflects those changes. Sometimes it feels scary but the majority of the time I’m excited for the future. I can’t wait to be able to share some of these things with you but for now I harp on about Autumn. The season that feels like a warm blanket when before in Summer those would be avoided like the plague. I can’t wait for darker evenings and no longer needing to sit infront of fans on the daily πŸ˜‚. What about you? What is the weather like where you are? I wish for everyone to experience the cosiness and joy of the simple things in life ✨️ and I’m grateful to be at a place in my life where I feel like I can enjoy them and take them in.

For a long time I mentioned my depression and I don’t know if I told you guys yet but I feel a lot better now. It feeling like Autumn is one of the things that helps me to realize that. I’m numb from medication but all in all, I’m living life….aaannnddd this post wasn’t clickbait at all by the looks of things with that declaration 🀯🀣.

How are you doing lately? Have anything you’d like to declare? (Apparently I’m a customs officer now or at least that’s what it sounds like when I ask you that question πŸ˜…πŸ€£).

I’m sipping on a decaff caramel coffee as I type out this post courtesy of my sister, I think I might start typing out one of our coffee chat posts as we have a LOT to discuss! But for now, I bid you adieu and wish you well πŸ€—. I hope you find something that brings you joy today! For me, it was getting to write these words for you and acknowledging something that has brought me comfort lately and has been a feast for my eyes and soul πŸ‚πŸπŸ‚ .

I’ve gotta go now πŸ‘‹ I’ll see you again next week. Don’t know what I’ll do yet but you can’t say it doesn’t get random around here, I’ll figure it out! πŸ˜‚ For now, take care, stay safe and buh-bye πŸ’•xx

  2. Today truly felt like fall here, it’s been cool and I even had I even had to put on a sweater and socks! I like fall, but I will miss summer; I’m not ready to let it go quite yet… because I’m still not ready for winter yet! πŸ˜†

  3. Ah, I live in the southern US, right outside of the capitol and usually our summer lasts until the end of September (often with July and August being the hottest months *sob*), so summer is still roaring on here, lol! I have actually seen a lot more β€œI’m ready for autumn, so I’m gonna act like it’s officially autumn already!” content on social media lately, which doesn’t bother me since I enjoy autumn too, as well as late spring and early summer. The worst season for me is definitely winter, as I hate cold weather and the darkness makes me incredibly depressed, BUT! Last year, I tried to lean into making winter a bit more β€œcozy” in every way I could, and doing that actually managed to fend off a good deal of my seasonal depression! Anyhoo, the seasons sliding closer to winter aside, I do really love the autumn we get here in the DC area, which usually takes place from late September until early November. Because I live in Virginia on the border of DC, there’s actually a lot of fun autumnal activities, both in the city and out a little further into the countryside! Last year, my β€œbig autumn activity” was to attend the Maryland Renaissance Festival (which is apparently one of the best in the US) with a good friend, and this year I’d love to go pick apples, or maybe do some light camping and/or hiking out in the valley by the mountains! There are always fun seasonally themed parties and events in the city too, so I’m sure I’ll be able to find something there too! Plus, I work at a farmers’ market, and it’s always fun to see the locals get excited for our autumn selections! Anyhoo, I’ve rambled enough, lol! TL;DR is I’m excited for autumn too! πŸ˜€

  4. I am seeing the leaves start to change and my favorite coffee shop brought out their fall line (caramel apple cider and pumpkin spice) last Thursday. All I need is the cider mills to open and it will be fall here.
