Trying the CeraVe foam cleanser! 😗

Hi everyone! Welcome to the blog on a day when I’m trying something thats new to me and I’m gonna take you along with me! 🫡 I recieved CeraVe products as a gift from my family (a long time ago now but hopefully they’re still safe 🤣 I always take so long to use gifts as I don’t wanna waste them but sometimes you gotta live! 🙃🤣) and I recently remembered and got excited to try them out! I also used the non foaming cleanser and that was good but I knew all along that the real treat would be the foaming experience! Here is what the products look like (ps, this is not an AD):

The CeraV foam cleanser contains 3 essential ceramides (spellcheck wants me to say ceramics, ummm no 🤣), amino acids and hyaluronic acid. I love products that hydrated your skin so that side of things compelled me. I have very dry, sensitive skin and it says its for normal to dry skin. The first time I tried it was in the shower so there was no mirror to show me it foaming but I thought I could feel it. Then another day I used it normally and I properly noticed the effects but firstly, there’s was no foaming at all 🤔. I decided to instead focus on how it made my skin feel (yes Lucy, plz get to the point! 🤣).

Like I said above, it doesnt foam but it creates a soft lather and left my skin feeling super soft. I made sure to put it on my eyelids before washing it off as well and being careful not to get any in my eyes as my eyelids are lately where a lot of the dry, sore skin is. It helped reduce the dry skin I have on my face and continues to do so daily. It keeps on working until the next application which is great and paired with a hyaluronic serum I use it really keeps dead skin at bay. Some days I get lazy or don’t feel well so I just wash my face with water before applying my moisturisers but when I use this cleanser I do notice a real difference.

I didn’t realise until after I used it that second time that it says it removes makeup which is so cool! The last time I wore makeup was for the Calamity Jane show but I want to wear it more so this will come in handy and will be fun to try and see if it does remove it!

This foaming cleanser had its pros (it gets the job done and cleanser your face!) and cons (it doesn’t foam which I was looking forward to as I’m a simple soul ☺️🤣 and it gets a bit sore underneath my nose and I don’t know if that would be there regardless) but I’m overall pleased with the result afterwards so yay! I like finding go-to products as then there’s less of a search for something that works and this is definitely a surefire part of my routine now!

Have you tried CeraV products before? What are your thoughts? Have you found your “holy grail” skincare products that you can’t be without? I think thats what we all strive towards so we can be feeling our best!

Thanks for reading today’s post, I hope you found it informative if you also have dry skin or that you just enjoyed it in general (that’s what I’m here for 😉🤣). I’ll see you again next weekend but if you can’t wait until then, head on over to The Cosy Corner where I share audios, talking until the sun goes down 🫢 can I be stopped? Nobody knows 😂 but until that day comes, go have a listen to my minds inner rambles 💘. Take care, stay safe and buh-bye ✨️💗.

  1. I’m glad this worked for you, despite it not foaming up like it said it would! I always want to get into a better skincare routine, but I haven’t… yet! In the morning I splash cold water on my face, then I have this hydro boost gel cream that I use and it has a SPF 25 so that makes me feel like I’m protecting my face! 😎

  2. I’ve hated every CeraV product I’ve tried, maybe it’s just not for me. I tried since so many people say good things about the brand but the sunscreen left a white cast and the SA cleanser nearly ruined my skin 😭

      1. For sure, I think I also have quite sensitive skin so some products are too harsh for me but work very well for others. Yesss, I hate oily or white cast sunscreens. My go to right now is the La Roche-Posey one- no complaints with that one!
