An update! 🤯

Hi everyone! How are you doing? 💗 I thought I would pop on and give an update on how things are going since I’ve upgraded my blog to premium. I don’t want to leave you guys waiting until I’m completely done with things so here I am! There’s a lot to discuss, good and bad so grab a cup of your favourite beverage and get ready to chat (because I have so many questions! 🤣).

So the first big thing to let you know is that I am now Elsielmc.com! I still have my old domain and am currently waiting to hear back from wordpress about redirecting some stuff that didn’t get done correctly automatically but I’m very pleased to be a “.com” owner now 🥳. I’ve literally dreamt about it for so long but upgrading seemed daunting and yeah, it’s no walk in the park so my fears came true but you gotta start somewhere and I really needed the media space 🤣.

Behind the scenes I haven’t been able to do much with the blog because chronic pain flareups have been coming at me left, right and centre which is a shame but I refuse to give in and I try to do something towards the blog every day, big or small, it all will culminate into the bigger picture! ✨️ I also went to see the Countess Luanns cabaret show in Dublin and met her last week (any RHONY origonal cast fans here? 🙌), I’m going through loads more pain from having to stand every so often at the concert as we were at the very front and felt obliged to do so but it was a great time so there is fun in amongst this madness 🤣.

On a more blog-upgrading note, I can’t find another theme that I vibe with but the one I’ve had for all of these years doesn’t appear very well on laptops 🤔 (what do you think? Is my logo too big?). I don’t know what I’m going to do really. For now I will keep my usual website theme but I’m still on the lookout for one I like more. I went through the whole list on the app, maybe there’s more options online or something? It just didn’t seem like there were a lot of them to choose from. It’s one of the nicer problems to have so I’m not complaining, merely ranting 🤣.

Another thing I’ve been in touch with WordPress support about is my email subscribers. When new people sign up, they dont appear on my email subscribers list or get added onto my total amount of followers. I’ve been on a bit of a wild goose chase with this one and I don’t know if it will get fixed. There seems to be a glitch where when I tested out subscribing myself, it put me down on the list that’s not email followers under a randomly generated name and then I was logged in under this random account which was super scary I won’t lie 🤣. I hope I’m able to explain this in an easy to understand way to wordpress so that the true problem can be discovered. You know when something just keeps going on until you just don’t really care anymore tho 😂. As long as people who subscribe receive and can read what they want, that’s probably what I will settle for.

As can be expected I am going to have to change a lot of the links in my past blog posts even though many automatically redirect on the website, through the wordpress app they don’t so that will take some time. I don’t know when I will be back blogging for good but as you can probably tell, it’s not gonna be anytime soon, I will never say never tho! I could get all the help I need sooner than expected and have things done way sooner.
