Taking a break 🙈

Hi everyone! How are you doing? 💗 No this title is not a joke, I am going to be taking a break from blogging, it wasn’t a tough decision and for a good reason too………I’m going to finally upgrade my blog to premium!! 🥳 You guys know it has been on the cards for a while now (it was one of last years goals but I didn’t do it, let 2025 be the year instead! 🤣) and I keep getting discount offers from wordpress to do the damn thing and for a variety of reasons, I’m gonna do it!

The biggest reason why I’m upgrading is that I’m used up almost all of my media space on here (I’m at 98.9%) so it’s about time! (Ps, I also found out I’ve published 731 blog posts, including this one! 🤯). I have been blogging for 8 years now and I used to be really nervous about upgrading as I thought I would lose all of you guys or my posts would get deleted but there’s only one way to find out! 😅 I feel like I’ve got to push myself to do it and it also does feel like the right time. Sometimes you’ve got to face your fears and lately it hasn’t felt like much of a fear at all, in fact I’ve been looking forward to the opportunities this will open up for this blog so watch this space! (Hopefully now I’ve voiced my fears they won’t happen 🙌🤣).

….Damn it I forgot what I was going to say 😭 my brain is like mush sometimes! Oh yeah, I remembered: I’m anxious over what could go wrong but imma change that to something I saw written on a poster in tkmaxx the other day, it was along the lines of: “oh but what could go right?” ✨️. I like that!! It switches things up and makes you think about the endless possibilities that are in a more positive realm.

I’ve got loads of ideas for posts in the pipeline so I will be back but I’m gonna need some time to work on Elsie LMC and learn how to do all of the behind the scenes bits and bobs that comes with the upgrade. I’ll return when things are looking presentable and I feel ready. I’m very excited and I hope you are too because this is gonna be epic!! 🎉

I’ll see you again soon and hopefully everything will be running smoothly at that point in time but until then, I hope you have a lovely day/night/week or month depending on how long it takes me to make my grand re-appearance 🤣. Stay safe, take care and buh-bye ✨️💗

      2. Hi Pooja! Sorry to be a bother but I was wondering, when you upgraded did you remove your old domain so that it stops showing up? I want to remove it but just trying to cover all bases first 😊💗

      3. Hey, not a bother at all! I would strongly recommend redirecting it instead of deleting it because a lot of people may have either saved your posts with that link or linked your posts. But you can remove it from your username and stuff, that shouldn’t be a problem at all. Hope that helps!

      4. Thanks Pooja! 💗 I appreciate your help. When I upgraded it automatically started to redirect a lot but many of the links via the app still don’t 🤔. I was kinda geared to delete the domain so it means a lot that you have changed my mind! ✨️

  4. The premium plan is great! I contemplated getting it too, but then I got 30% off and figured what the hell. It’s probably worth it. It makes styling the blog a hell of a lot easier as well with all the styles options.

    I bought it for a year at first but if my blog is still here in a year, I’ll mostly upgrade to a 3 year plan and save even more.

    Now I just wish that WordPress will regain a better UI. I don’t like the WordPress Admin like the self-hosted blogs have. When I first started the blog, it had the .com UI and that was so much better.

    1. I used the 30% off as well! I’m so happy with the extra media space. I haven’t figured out the style options yet but will get round to it.
