My reading plan and the total amount of books I have out of the library πŸ˜…

Hi everyone! It’s that time of the week again πŸ‘‹ and I’m that annoying little sibling you can’t seem to get rid of 🀣. It’s time to end the week on a high and talk all things bookish! πŸ“š    These days are going by so damn fast πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«. Side question: Do you think Friday ends the week or Sunday? Okay okay, I know it’s Sunday officially but for the purpose of this post let’s just say it’s Friday, can we do that? Please? πŸ™ Here’s a really controversial one….what day is the start of the week? Sunday or Monday? I know it’s weird to think that Sunday can both be the end and the beginning of the week πŸ€” okayyy now I’m confused πŸ˜‚. Do some people think the week ends on a Saturday to be believers of Sunday starting the week because I aways pair off the weekend and say that Monday is the start! Oh well, let me know your thoughts, we’ve got a blog post to get to! 🀣

So! I don’t think I’ve written about my reading plan on here before. I do talk about reading A LOT as I’ve always been a bookworm but since I came out of that massive slump I’ve just been really feeling passionate about books again and it feels like pure magic when I find a good one ✨️ (anyone else read The Inheritance Games? I’m moving onto book number two!).

I kind off fell into having a reading “plan” if you can even call it that, let me explain it! So it starts with getting through library books. I prioritise books I reserve such as the Spy X Family series (I just finished book number 4 and picked up number 5), The Promised Neverland (I finished book number 3 and picked up number 4) and Your Name (I finished book number 3 and am hoping to collect the side stories soon). These are manga novels so I get through them very quick, they’re nice bedtime reads! 😴

That’s not to say I ignore other books around this time, I always have something on the go (not always adhering to the one book at a time goal I set but most of the time I do). In and around this I read books that were taken out on my library card to make space to take out the books I reserved. And I guess that brings me to a point I’ve shamefully admitted to in the past…..I use my mum and dad’s cards too, but they let me so it’s not really my fault 😁. They feed my bad habits 🀣. I have 8 books out on my mums card (that used to be 12 but I’m trying to read them all to empty the card as they’ve been out for so long they need to be returned before new ones can be taken out, I could return them and take them out again but with this lot I just want to buckle down, enjoy them and take them back for good). On my dad’s card I have 9 books out and my next plan of action is to either read all of them or decide which ones I just can’t get into and then there will be space for my parents to get more books out themselves as they already have some out.

Moving on it is my number one goal to read all of the library books I have out (unless they’re not good) before I move onto books I own. I have a book buying ban that I decided on until I read everything which isn’t so bad as its my birthday soon and my mum was hinting at getting me books 🎁🀣. I’m also reading Book Lovers by Emily Henry on my Kindle! The trouble with having a Kindle is it’s so easy to want to fall into another book but I’m really trying to stick with my plan although I might fall off track and pick a Kindle Unlimited book to read as I’m subscribed and I don’t want to waste that.

As I mentioned in my big bookish goal post, I’m aiming to read 100 books this year and back when I wrote that post I’d read 31 books. Now I’m at 57 so I’m edging closer! I feel really committed to this goal, I’m enjoying myself reading so it’s a nice sideline venture! I wonder, do you have any bookish goals?

You might already know but I have a Bookstagram account HERE and I’ve got so many photos ready to go up but I keep forgetting to upload them (before I know it it’s the end of the day and then it just feels too late) so they’ve built up. I’ll post something today so be sure to head on over and check that out when you can! I’d appreciate it πŸ₯°.

So! That’s my reading plan (mostly just wanting to finish library books first) and also the disgraceful amount of books I have out from the library itself πŸ™ŒπŸ€£(29 in total – I’ll admit, it’s been worse tho). Be sure to share what you’re reading right now in the comments and whether or not you’d recommend it! I’d love to know πŸ˜πŸ“š.

Thank you so much for reading! πŸ˜‰ I’ll see you again next week, I hope you have a good week up until we meet again. Buh-bye πŸ’—xx
