Your life without a computer: what does it look like?
I’m going to slightly change this prompt into life without my phone instead of life without my computer as my laptop is dead and gone 🤣. So! To be completely honest with you, I think I could go a day without my phone but in the long run I’d both need and want it to get in touch with family overseas and friends. I won’t use the word depend but I rely on my phone quite a lot.
Could I survive without it? That’s a tough question, I blog using my phone, I enjoy watching YouTubers, I use loyalty apps when I’m out and about and I’m obsessed with my local library app which let’s me order books and renew ones I already have.
To answer the prompt “your life without a phone: what does it look like?” I’d say it doesn’t look bad but I’d be without certain things that add to my life. You see, my phone doesn’t control or make my life but it does complete it in a way by introducing elements that are useful.
I think if I absolutely had to, I would be able to survive without my phone but in reality I wouldn’t choose to put myself in that situation. I often marvel over how easy it makes things like getting in touch with family, when I see those two blue ticks on WhatsApp it makes me go ooooooh 😯😂. What about you? Would you be able to survive without your phone?
This was just a quick post but know that I’ve got some exciting things on the way! ✨️
I’ll see you again next Friday, I hope you have a brilliant day now and week up until then, buh-bye! 💗
Same as you, I wouldn’t use the word ‘depend’ but I rely on my phone a lot. And without my phone, I think I would isolate myself as the people with whom I share about my daily life and talk to each day would disappear. And I would seriously hate that more than anything. But yeah, if I could communicate with all the people I love without using a phone, it’d be easy to survive without it.
This was an interesting post! Loved reading it! Btw, have you finished reading Book Lovers? How do you like it? I couldn’t get enough free time last month for reading, so I’m still only halfway through Happy Place. Tbh, I’m not enjoying the writing style much, but it’s a decent read.

Yes exactly, it would be so easy to isolate yourself without contact with loved ones. Ahhh I’ve been so bad with Book Lovers, I’m only 30% of the way through it as I’m trying to get through some library books but I think it’s alright so far, I think I like the story more than I did with Happy Place. Yeah I couldn’t get into the writing style either and I just wasn’t rooting for the romance side of things to take off like I kind of am with Book Lovers. Hope you manage to enjoy the rest of Happy Place! x

I think I’m enjoying Happy Place better than Book Lovers too lol
But Emily’s writing style still doesn’t fit well with my taste.
I hope you enjoy the rest of book lovers too haha

I could survive without my phone, but a lot more trees would die. The number of lists, reminders and calendar notifications set on my phone would end up as post it notes EVERYWHERE!!!!

I don’t know if I’d want to spend my life without my phone because like you mentioned, it’s very useful! I like using it to keep in touch and I’m constantly looking up places! But I know I can spend hours without it, so it wouldn’t be a huge loss if I went without it for a few days. Such a great question! 😁

I’m glad I’m not the only one saying that! It’s strange to think of a time when people couldn’t simply message a loved one. The question really made me think, thanks for sharing your thoughts too! ✨️

Right?! Or it took a long time to get in contact with someone! I agree, it’s definitely a thinker!
