What I just finished reading and what I’m onto next! πŸ“š

Hey there! πŸ‘‹ Welcome to my blog, today I thought it would be a nice time to stop and reflect on what I just finished reading and what I’m moving onto next! πŸ’« A while back I wrote about reading one book at a time and I still kind of do that but I’m also reading something on my kindle (Flawless by Elsie Silver) alongside focusing on a physical book πŸ˜…. And…….

I just finished reading The Witchery by S Isabelle and it was simply amazing!! If you’d have asked me before whether or not I’d be able to get into a book with six narrators I’d have been wary about it but in this book it just worked! On the cover there’s an incredibly detailed drawing of each character and I loved how it was easy to tell who was who, it really added to the story being able to picture each person. I haven’t been so sad to finish a book in a long time but this one’s up there! I wish the library had the next book available to reserve but its too new so I think if I want to carry on with it I’m going to have to splash out on it myself but I don’t know how I feel about doing that when I don’t own the first book πŸ€”.

I just checked and on Amazon the next book is €12.83 on kindle and €20.11 as a hardback 😬. I don’t think I could justify spending on the hardback and I’d want to read a physical copy of it so kindle is out of the window. I heard that you can ask at the library for them to get in a book, even if they haven’t got it on there records so fingers crossed they can do that!

Next up let’s chat about the book that I’m moving onto next! Heartstopper volume 5!!! (Can you tell how excited I am about this? 🀣). So I got this for Christmas and I’ve been saving it as I know how special its going to be. I must be the last Heartstopper fan to delve into it πŸ˜‚. Originally I tried to pre-order it myself but there was an error in the Amazon system where it kept telling me it was going to be shipped out and then much to my surprise, they cancelled the order (I was like, whatttt?? 🀣). So I wished for it for Christmas instead, not trusting my own ability to get it and I gratefully recieved it!

There’s nothing like Heartstopper, it’s simply one of a kind and I’m looking forward to getting lost in the story again and having it flow easily. So that’s my next read!

As I mentioned at the beginning of the post, I’m also reading something on my kindle but it keeps getting pushed aside by my physical reads. I’m hoping that because Heartstopper is more of a comic book, I’ll depend more on my kindle read for some of that regular reading style if I’m making any sense 🀣. Flawless by Elsie Silver is really good so far and I don’t know if it’s the kindle or not but I’m getting through it quite fast! I’m loving the flirty banter between the two main characters but I’ll admit, that annoying thing is happening where when you read more than one book you kind of forget what’s going on in them but I’m keeping strong with it and not giving up!

So there we have it! I really enjoyed writing this post and letting you know about what I’ve just finished and what I’m onto next, maybe this should be a series or something? It was kinda fun!

Right I’ve gotta go, my sister just came into my room and asked if I wanna go out and I do so I’m all giddy with excitement and this post has to come to an end if I wanna be ready on time 🀣.

Let me know I’m the comments what you just finished reading and what you’re moving onto next/what you’re reading now if you’re in the middle of something instead. I’ll see you guys again next week but until then I hope you have a really nice weekend and get that you get to do something for you! Buh-bye βœ¨οΈπŸ’—

  2. I just read Expiration Dates by Rebecca Serle and am now reading Pack Up the Moon by Kristan Higgins. I recommend both! I have watched Heartstopper on Netflix and enjoyed it but haven’t checked out the books yet.
