Earth Day Poem 🌍

I never want to cause you harm

but I’m afraid that by being here I’m doing just that

your demeanour is no longer a source of calm

as you watch those in constant combat.

You’re under distress

and some people couldn’t care less

but it doesn’t have to be this way

it’s easy to make a difference

and the benefits really pay.

Save water and recycle

be sustainable in your choices

reuse and upcycle

don’t shy away from using your voices.

Reduce your use of plastic

and why not plant a tree?

It’s nothing that drastic

and a lot of it is free.

Take care of our planet

try to leave it as you found it

It’s beautiful that’s no secret

and to it we must commit.

Hi everyone! I hope you’re well 💗. When I found out it was earth day today I knew I had to come again you with an extra post!! 🌍 What do you think of the poem? I wrote it on a whim and hope it’s hard-hitting 🫶. Out of all the inhabitable planets out there (I can only think of Kepler something or other 🤣) we made it here and I guess that means we could have been aliens (and to other planets we are)….where am I going with this?? 🤔 Anywho! I just feel super grateful for this beautiful planet and the place we hold on it ☺️ its for sure worth taking care of!
