Movies & Series I’ve watched recently! #3 πŸΏ

Hi everyone! How are you? πŸ’— Ready for some film recommendations and my list of no-gos!? (Which are basically the films I didn’t enjoy πŸ˜‚). I know I am! The majority of the following films are from Netflix but there’s also some Now TV thrown in there for the hell of it. Maybe I should do a what to watch on Netflix series? The world is our oyster! (What does that even really mean?? 🀣). Anyway, I forgot my intro, how rude of me: welcome to my lil corner of the internet! I’m happy you’re here ☺️ and I’m also happy to share these movies/series with you so let’s get into it! πŸ‘

β€’ My Life With The Walter Boys

When a tragedy disrupts her life, a teenager moves in with her guardian’s big family in a small town and learns lessons about love, hope and friendship.

I mentioned this in my last post movies & series post I wrote HERE but since then I’ve finished it and learned that there is to be a season 2!! Whoop whoop I’m so happy πŸ˜„. It ended on such a cliffhanger that I’m dying to kn9w what happens next. If you like Anne With an E then you’ll love this, it’s different but similar 🀣.

β€’ Real Housewives of Miami

Several affluent women living in Miami, Florida, try to balance their busy schedules with their high-profile social lives.

My sister and I are obsessed with the entire housewives franchise and Miami was one we hadn’t watched in ages but we recently got back into it! It’s swapped hands with Peacock so the editing is different but the drama we know and love is still there! πŸ˜‚ Have you seen any of the real housewives series?

β€’ Damsel

A young woman agrees to marry a handsome prince – only to discover it was all a trap. She is thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon and must rely solely on her wits and will to survive.

This was absolutely brilliant! I’ve only really watched Millie Bobby Brown interviews on YouTube and the odd seconds long clip of stranger things so it was strange seeing her acting and separating her in real life from the charachter but she was really good. I’d 100% recommend this, I was hooked from the get-go!

β€’ Extraordinary Attorney Woo

Woo Young Woo is a young lawyer with Asperger’s syndrome. She boasts a high IQ, an impressive memory and a wonderfully creative thought process, but she struggles with everyday interactions.

I started this ages ago and then got sidetracked so I’m getting back into it now. It’s a funny, lighthearted show!

β€’ Suzume

As the skies turn red and the planet trembles, Japan stands on the brink of disaster. However, a determined teenager named Suzume sets out on a mission to save her country. Able to see supernatural forces that others cannot, it’s up to her to close the mysterious doors that are spreading chaos across the land. A perilous journey awaits as the fate of Japan rests on her shoulders.

This is totally crazy but in a good way! 🀣 I’m halfway through as it’s like two hours long but I’m enjoying it!

β€’ Bee and Puppycat

An unemployed woman named Bee lives a normal life until her grumpy companion PuppyCat arrives and the begin travelling between reality and “Fishbowl Space.”

This was hella weird. I only watched like one episode and I could not for the life of me understand what was going on. I wouldn’t recommend it πŸ’”.

β€’ Ten Lives

A pampered cat takes for granted the lucky hand he has been dealt after he is rescued and loved by Rose, a kind-hearted and passionate student. When he loses his ninth life, fate steps in to set him on a transformative journey.

This was a nice relaxing film to have on in the background but I can’t say I remember much of what went on tbh 🀣.

β€’ Love & Gelato

Lina, a high school graduate, would rather spend her summer preparing for college than flying to Rome to fulfil her mother’s last wish. Once she decides to go, she finds herself immersed in new experiences.

I read the book of this years ago and only just realised there’s a movie too! I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would tho. From what I can remember of the book it’s very different. Some of the acting was a bit lackluster tbh. I think I went in with such high hopes that it was never going to meet them. It was alright and the vibe of Italy is nice to look back on, it felt kind of immersive like I was there but I don’t know if it’s a film I would recommend or not.

β€’ Squid Game

Hundreds of cash-strapped contestants accept an invitation to compete in children’s games for a tempting prize, but the stakes are deadly.

Last but by no means least, this was something my sister and I started and I carried on alone. I think it’s at the top of my favourites list despite being at the bottom of this one for no particular reason πŸ˜‚. I’m on episode 7 so no spoilers please!! I think I’m obsessed with it, I know I’m late to the party but I’m happy I finally arrived ☺️.

  1. I watched Damsel last month and really enjoyed it and then I ended up rewatching Enola Holmes and Enola Holmes 2 both of which have Millie Bobby Brown in them. I love her. As for this month I’ve only rewatched Red White and Royal Blue which I obviously love since I’m rewatching it.

    1. I’ve been meaning to watch Enola Holmes, part of me feels like I started it and then forgot to carry it on πŸ€” I will get round to it tho. I’ve got the book for Red White and Royal Blue!
