Hi everyone! π Welcome to my lil corner of the internet, I hope you’re doing well and having a lovely day π. I’m back with another post! π₯° Seeing as it’s mother’s day here in Ireland on the 10th of March (I know it’s different in America – May 12 so this post is nice and early for u π€£) I thought it would be a nice idea to share a gift guide type of post. I’m well aware that it’s not all about the gifts and more so about spending time together but I don’t know, I just thought it’d be fun to share! π So here we go! Starting with….
β’ Flowers π
It’s so nice to recieve flowers to care for. You could even then get them a succulent like a cactus or an aloe vera plant, something that lasts a long time (if it’s cared for of course! π€£).
β’ Something significant to them like a hobby
Do they like to knit? Get them some new wool! Do they love yoga? Maybe an accessory like a mat or a block would be a good go-to gift!
β’ Food
Like chocolates! Who doesn’t like chocolate?…..well some people don’t but you never know! π You could even buy them their favourite snacks as a well earned treat! Breakfast in bed, lunch or a dinner out at a restaurant are also great ideas if I do say so myself. Afternoon tea can be fun as well! π΅ Or you could even make them dinner! π
β’ Go somewhere/do something together
Like the cinema! I dare you to pick a random movie and just roll with it πΏ. It’s always nice to go out and do something together, why not go to the beach if its not out of your way or have a picnic at the park!
β’ Something homemade
Such as a tokens booklet where you say things you’ll do for each coupon! Loving books like I do I once created a character and made my mum a boxset of books to read….they weren’t exactly all finished but the thought was there and that’s what counts π€£. Plan a spa evening from home or paint them a picture, I’m sure they’ll love whatever you create as it came from the heart β₯.
β’ Jewellery
You can’t go wrong with jewellery and it doesn’t have to be pricey either, tkmaxx or amazon have some beautiful pieces. You could even get a locket with something that’s dear to them pictured inside (ie you! ππ).
β’ Clothes
Whether it’s through thrifting or an item that will go with various outfits, pick something you know they’ll love!
β’ Skincare/makeup
There’s nothing like a good pamper sesh! Get them that moisturiser they’ve been going on about or a lipstick you think compliments them well! Go with what you think they’d like.
β’ A book you’ve read and enjoyed
Okay so this one might seem weird but hear me out! If you have a book that you really really like and think they would like it too then you could get it for them and you’d both have read the same thing which I think is so sweet and something to really connect over! I did this by buying my mum Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt after I’d read it and she lost it but its the thought that counts I suppose π€£π€£π€£.
β’ A hamper full of their favourite things!
This can turn out to be a really fun gift to recieve depending on the items you place in it! Stuff like candles, nail polish, perfume, snacks and a whole lot of tissue paper to eek it out ππ€£.
β’ A voucher
If you really want to get them something but don’t know what they’d like then a voucher is the way to go or it can be a more refined type of voucher for a certain place that they like to go to like a shop or a trip to the spa.
That’s it….that’s all I’ve got π€£. But I’d love to hear your ideas! Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section π.
I’m off for now but if you find yourself missing me (come on, work with me here) you can find me over on my Bookstagram HERE where I post every second day!
I’ll see you again next Friyay! π Until then, stay safe, take care and buh-bye! β¨οΈπxx

These are all really good ideas. I love to give experiences as gifts, so thatβs a nice option.
