Hiya everyone! I hope you’re having an awesome day 💖. This post is a review of The Princess and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich by Deya Muniz, a beautifully illustrated graphic novel that I could not put down for the life of me. Let’s jump right in…

Summary
Lady Camembert wants to live life on her own terms, without marriage. Well, without marrying a man, that is. But the law of the land is that women cannot inherit. So when her father passes away, she does the only thing she can: She disguises herself as a man and moves to the capital city of the Kingdom of Fromage to start over as Count Camembert.
But it’s hard to keep a low profile when the beautiful Princess Brie, with her fierce activism and great sense of fashion, catches her attention. Camembert can’t resist getting to know the princess, but as the two grow closer, will she able to keep her secret?
A romantic comedy about mistaken identity, true love, and lots of grilled cheese.
Review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
This book was a breath of fresh air which feels funny to say considering how it encapsulated a lot of cheese in its names and locations! I thought it was rather cute that it did so and was taken by surprise when each title came into being. The art throughout was so vibrant and each page pulled me further into the story than I originally envisioned being. From the beginning I knew it was going to be a pageturner but I wasn’t to know just how much I would get lost in this read.
It was a lot of fun following Cams journey + hoping they wouldn’t get caught for pretending to be a man. It was a very interesting story and I loved the cut scenes where it would show what each individual character was doing at any given moment to make it look like time had passed. The love story between Cam and the princess Brie was so captivating that I could hardly wait to find out what would happen next and I loved the direction the story went in plus the big surprise at the very end!
The story was very believable despite its cheesy names and I could actually see it all happening right in front of me! ✨️
I wish there were more books like this where the plot gets catapulted into something spectacular and takes the reader with it not wanting it to end. Lately I’ve read a lot of graphic novels and this is certainly up there with the best of them, hence why I have decided to give it four out of five stars! ⭐️ The Princess and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich did not disappoint (why does that word not look right? 🤔🤣) and I would recommend it to anyone that wants a read where they’re inside on a big secret that gets the pages turning ten to the dozen!
And there we have it! Have you read The Princess and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich before? Are you planning on reading it now? Let me know in the comments below goddammit!

Such a great review!! This was such a fun comic. I really enjoyed it a lot. The artwork was so pretty. I just loved all the fashion in this comic. I really hope the author does something else. Plus all the cheesy puns! Just a delight.
