Hi everyone! How are you doing? 💖 Today’s post is a shorty because of a tricky day and seeing as this last week leading up didn’t really have me preparing for the blog either (I swear, I’ll do better! 😬 What show is that even from? Bratz Rock Angelz I think 🤣). I really wanted to focus on the cute & crazy little beings in my life, my dogs: Toby, Nina and Bella because they make everyday amazing and never fail in providing a proper laugh! 🙌🤣 I thought it’d be lovely to share what they’re like in the morning to be specific as it’s such a nice moment where a night might as well have been a year considering the outburst of emotions that get thrown around (dog owners know what I’m on about right? 😂🐶). We’ll start with Nina because she’s often who I see first depending on where I find each dog in the morning!

Unless she’s in a room and the recognition of who I am dawn’s on her face + there’s a leap before I’m hit with love 😘🤣, Nina more or less runs around the kitchen door into the hallway and will try to hop on her two hind legs to kiss me over the stairgate (which provides much needed privacy from dogs having a good old look around my room, maybe even leaving a little gift 🙄). Whilst I squeeze through a gap in the gate instead of opening it the whole way or else she’ll be up and out of sight she’s tugging on my dressing gown pulling me down before smothering me with kisses galore 🥰. There’s no pushing her away as she’s too excited to see each of us and have more people to bring toys to 🤣. She then grabs ahold of my dressing gown strap and tries to drag me God knows where! Can you tell we’re still trying to add meaning to the words NO NINA!? It gets said a lot, I tell you 😅 but above anything she’s such a loving dog, barely just turned 1! I don’t want to think of her growing up, I’m one of those owners 😂.
She’s a forever pup, like they all seem to be. Unless you were around to see the magical moment I introduced her last year in May, you can read it + see pics of her as a much smaller puppy by clicking HERE! Those were the days I was grieving the loss of my beautiful Labrador, Ruby. It was such a surreal time but I can also look back and smile at the memories of slowly getting to know and love our Nina Noo and that’s just precious to me ✨.

Next up we’ve got our sassy little Bella who comes tottering out of the kitchen behind Nina and will try to push in for a kiss and I’ll also try to hold Nina back so I can go for her too and then, guess what? Depending on the day, she might kiss me (not as madly as Nina but it’s the thought that counts 🤣) but she’s more likely to turn and run off into the kitchen, jump in the dog bed and BARK like – come to me!! So with everyone, including myself saying ‘Bella stop’ she’s only gone and done it, drawn that attention to herself wherein she’ll roll on her back and do this paw like motion that looks like she’s pressing a button haphazardly or as though she takes dance classes (either one is quite apt 😂) and her tail will be wagging like mad as I walk over and fuss her face as her hair is so fluffy! Like the rest she has a good few nicknames but my favourite that I call her is Bella-tee-boppity-boo 🪄 (I’ve never written it before but you know what I mean 🤣).
We first heard about Bella out of nowhere one night last August when we received a call from our local dog shelter explaining about how she’d originally come from a hateful owner, he asked if we were still looking for a dog after the passing of Ruby, saying that we were the first in line what with already having Toby (a worthy companion!) who you’ll hear about shortly. Of course we had to let the guy know that we’d since gotten Nina and instead of that making him change his mind he said something funny to intrigue along the lines of ‘well three dogs are even better!’. My mum who was on the phone and in a conundrum but really wanting this dog got alerted to a picture that came through of Bella and my mum, dad and sister were instant yes’s, I was on a call in another room, got shown the picture and was so surprised, mouthing my yes, we were all in! 😍 I think that call was a Sunday and we went and got her on the Tuesday but I’m not completely sure 🤔, things moved pretty fast!
It feels so strange that we got the call for her and actually went for it, like an opportunity that would have happened to other people and not us! I think we’re still in shock, especially when she barks 🤣. Good things in life have that effect! It took me a while at first to think I loved her but I grew to absolutely ADORE Bella and her quirky personality! 🤗✨ Especially when she sneezes in my sisters face which is hilarious 🤣.

Now it’s time for the one, the only, TOBY! (The Tobemeister, Toblerone and Mr Tubs, to name but a few 😂). We try to be equal with things like treats but yes, Toby is best till last in my post and that just goes to show levels of love because I love, lOvE, LOVE Nina and Bella immensely too!! 🥰 Okay so most days Toby will be in a room, not at the bottom of the stairs and I’ll go in and he’ll wake up + sweetly lick my face and then other days which is happening more recently he’ll stand back whilst Nina goes mad with the kisses and wag his tail when I show him I’m wanting to be with him but can’t get away. Then he’ll give a good morning load of kisses! (Can you tell that mornings are about kisses? 🤣). Sometimes I’ll go over to him after Nina’s pushed her way infront and he’ll wag his tail + walk off like “I said good morning, u can’t get me for not trying” 😧 and I’m like wow okay 😅 but of course, now that I think about it I don’t hold it against him because he’s Toby! He’s the golden child 🌟😂🌟.
Toby must be around 8 now and he was our first ever small dog as we’d always had bigger breeds. Our old dog Heidi who was a gorgeous sheepdog/German shepherd cross had passed (this was in 2014) and we did end up getting another dog called Alex but back in 2017 we had to re-home her. Toby came to us whilst Alex was still here tho. My parents hadn’t been so sure, thinking a small dog would be all yappy and loud (….kinda like Bella 🤔🤣) but when Toby showed up (initially covered in crisps 🙄 like why do some people treat dogs like 💩?) he was an instant hit and fit in like a missing puzzle piece alongside Ruby.
When we look at Toby, we see love and I’m not just saying that. I can cry even thinking about him and maybe I’m just emotional rn but he is just such a beautiful, caring and funny little boy who is known for doing a thing called bumpah where he likes his bum being patted while he does a little tap dance 🤣. That sounds weird but he’s just got a humor to him and he’s the type of dog that has wise old eyes that see you and I just always want him to know how loved he is! Toby is the sort of dog that won’t stop playing when he’s in the mood, even when he’s tired and you think he should stop, if there’s someone who will play catch then he takes full advantage of that moment and tries to keep it going for as long as possible 😬😂. He was sad when Ruby passed away too and then again with the additions of other dogs that changed his world but we got him back and he stands his ground with Nina’s ways of trying to steal bones + he kinda…okay he REALLY has a thing for Bella that’s not reciprocated, poor chap 😅.
And there we have it! The babies that mean the world to me 🙌💖. They are a right old crew, like the three musketeers (except they take MAJOR naps 😴 🤣). Hopefully this post made you smile like it had me beaming the entire time!! Honestly, are these beauties in our lives even pets? They’re a part of the family and Toby is like a right old human when he’s grumpy! 😂 Well thank you for checking out this post, I appreciate it! 😉 Be sure to let me know in the comments below if you have any pets!! I’d love to hear what they get up to, there’s nothing quite like that joy they bring 😆✨.
Have a wonderful day/or a good night’s sleep depending on where you’re joining in from! I’ll see you again soon but until then, stay safe, take care and buh-bye! 🌊💛Xx

Omg they are just the cutest! I would love to have a dog but I feel like I don’t have the energy to care for them since they need a lot of care and attention.

Thank you!! 💕 Ahh I hope you do get to have one in the future, I couldn’t imagine having to care for them entirely by myself so I see what u mean there. They can be a real handful but they’re our handful (that last part just incase they’re listening 🤣). The right dog will be out there for you and it’ll all work out in the end at the right time ✨

I really want a pet. I would love a cat but my mother doesnt want and we go on holidays much 😦 They are the best. Your dogs are so lovely 😍 You feel less alone with pets. So good for mental health issues. It’s the truth. I also love dogs. I love labradors and golden retriever.

Your dogs are so cute! I don’t have a dog that lives with me – she lives with my parents across the country. She’s a pug and she’s deaf d/t old age. She also just got diagnosed with diabetes…. She’s a 12 year old pug and I’m quite concerned about her 😭
At home, I have a pet cat. He’s a rescue cat – a domestic shorthair tuxedo cat. I love him so much 🐈⬛💕

Thank you!! 🥰 Ahh I remember reading about your dog being with your parents but hearing that they’re deaf and have diabetes must hit you so hard. I’m very sorry 💗 The distance must be unbearable, I bet she’s beautiful dog!
Aww that’s an elegant name for a type of cat, sounds like he’s heading out for a ball! What is he called? That’s so nice 😄, pets really do make you feel at home. I’ve a cat called Bertha but I don’t see her much 🤣 altho I do love her!

My dog, Zoë (or Zoey according to my dad) has a special place in my heart even though she’s an old lady now, which is crazy to me because I still see her as my puppy. Pugs are awesome and they make great pets in my opinion. As for my cat, he’s a typical domestic shorthair cat (nothing special) but he’s soft and doesn’t shed a lot. His name is Timon (Like Timon from the Lion King). I named him that because he’s a free spirit and doesn’t follow the rules.

Zoë is the cutest name ever! Time flies ✨. Before we got Toby my sister really wanted a pug but our parents had heard something about pugs eyes easily getting damaged or something which could have been true, I don’t know but was basically just a swerve at the hint of us getting our first small dog, luckily we still got our boy 😂. I’d love a pug one day! Aww Timon 💫 I like a meaningful name and it’s good he doesn’t shed a lot too! Since Bella came here I’ve been finding her hair everywhere but will just get told it’s not hers and that she couldn’t possibly shed 😐🤣

My pug sheds a lot. If you’re worried about shedding, don’t get a pug! Some colors don’t shed but idk if this is true or not. My girl is a fawn-colored pug. Yes, there’s always a risk of their eyes popping out but it’s very small… you’d have to tug on their leash extremely hard and even then I think there’s only been a couple of cases of this happening. Pugs can also get overheated so if you have hot temps they’ll overheat. They like mild temps better. And finally, they’ll eat themselves to death if you let them. I jokingly say that they have the obesity gene! You really have to watch what and how much they’re eating. Either than that, they make great dogs! Their breathing problems aren’t that bad… and very minimal compared to an English bulldog.
