3 Feel good ways to start your day! πŸ˜Š..πŸ’₯..🌞

Hi everyone! How are you doing? πŸ’– Welcome back to my humble abode, watch where you step because if you trip over I take no responsibility for that 😌(oh what a lovely abode it is 🀣). Now, I’d be lying if I told you I could remember having a morning routine what with how my health’s been but I’m really trying to incorporate habits that are beneficial into how I start each day! (And they kinda do turn me into a sunny personality like the emojis in the title advertise πŸ™ŒπŸ€£). In this post I would like to talk about some of that and maybe if only in a small way, how I go about things might help others so let’s get to it! ✨Starting with….

Try not to rush with getting out of bed when you wake up! Take a moment or two to just take in your surroundings. Can you hear rain? I could this morning as the forecast for the next week is 100% downfall πŸ˜‘. Focus on your breathing and think about your plans for the day ahead. Gradually wake up. I find doing this makes me want to continue the day on a good note. It’s like a slow introduction back into the world after checking out from Dreamland πŸ˜‚. I don’t think any good can come from rushing as how you begin the day will carry forward and just catch up with you later on. Not every morning can be approached with a “take your time” kind of attitude, that’s understandable, and doing things like prepping the evening before what you’d normally leave till the morning will allow you to be kinder to yourself at the beginning of the day πŸŒ„. After a wakeup that leaves me feeling balanced as I’ve had time to become aware, I’ll have some water!

Even tho I’ve just told you what this is, I still want to announce it so let’s hear it for….Drinking water 🀣🌊 That felt like the moment when the Princess Fiona got introduced to lord Farquaad in Shrek πŸ˜‚. Even after a restless night I find that having water can revive + make me feel ready to handle the day ahead. I keep a bottle on my bedside cabinet and it’s tricky to forget as I look there anyway to get my watch/hairband and stuff so then I gotta drink! πŸ’¦ I’ll then go on to have a healthy breakfast which leads us onto..

Eat a healthy, filling breakfast! 😁🀣 My go-to’s are either the scrambled egg and mackerel on toast dish I showed you last month or avocado on toast more recently πŸ˜‹ (my friend hates it so I never forget to send a picture 🀣). A while back I had a habit of going for the easier options first when it came to breakfast like just popping a crumpet in the toaster and I’d have it with an apple but it didn’t feel as great a way to start the day as the other two do right now! πŸ™Œ I was often left feeling hungry not long after that past option so the aim is to always have something substantial but not time consuming or else my energy will have gone from standing to get it done alone 🀣. I also enjoy a bowl of shredded wheat with warm soya milk, I often crave that when I wake up recently so I’m glad all it involves is heating up the milk and pouring it over (I must really be selling it too as my dogs all crowd round πŸ˜… it’s too early for an audience when I just wanna have breakfast! πŸ˜‚).

And there we have it! πŸ‘ I know there’s loads more that can go into a morning to make it what it is but these are the base, ground “rules” I go by (that I don’t like calling rules as then they sound enforced when I actually like doing them! 😬). After I get up and make it downstairs I may not feel up to getting dressed until a while after what with my legs being the way they are. I don’t think the not-knowing how things like that will be each day makes for a good routine creator but whatever, we move and we try! πŸ˜‚. All I know is that I’m working on not getting upset with myself over it. I take each moment as it comes and instead try to focus on what may help keep me going each day and be a build up for better times! πŸ’«

Life is a work in progress and we’re all just doing the best we can, one things for certain tho…I’d love to hear about something you do that starts off your day swimmingly! 🐟 Especially if it’s like how I take a moment before the day begins to simply take in my surroundings because that’s just so feel good, y’know? ✨ Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Thank you for reading peeps! It really means a lot that you took the time out of your day to do so and I hope you enjoyed the post! πŸ˜„ Parting is such sweet sorrow but oh well 🀣. I’ll see you again soon! Be sure to do something for you today and show those you love how much they mean to you (words go a long way so don’t worry, I’m not preaching about extravagance! πŸ’πŸ˜πŸ˜‚). Take care, stay safe and buh-bye πŸŒŸπŸ’–xx

  1. I love the first tip so much!! I have the worst habit of reaching for my phone as soon as my eyes open, and I think I need to consciously try and change that! Definitely going to incorporate those couple minutes of peace to my morning routine :))

I had a good streak where I was waking up pretty early to go to the gym, and my days went by swimmingly when I was sticking to that schedule, but off late, I’ve been waking up at 1 PM and eating lunch straightaway lol. Even then, I find that brushing as soon as I wake up, and then drinking a cool glass of water feels so refreshing! I can’t wait to get back to my gym routine and I’m definitely trying my best to get back on track hahaha!

    1. Omg me too, there was a time when I thought what if I put my phone somewhere I can’t reach it but then all these thoughts would run through my mind like what if something happens and I can’t get to it in time πŸ™ˆπŸ€£. Ahh yay!! Really hope you manage to do that over time as it sounds like a lovely way to start the day! Good luck! βš‘πŸ’–

    1. Haha 🀣. That’s a great idea for the morning and good way to start the day off too! I have naps in the afternoon and find they can even be the difference between a good/bad evening πŸ™Œβœ¨. Sometimes they can be frustrating to have to do so it helps to know others find them beneficial so as to accept them more myself, y’know? Thanks for reading lovely πŸ’–

      1. It is! Just that little extra sleep time makes me feel good! I feel you on the afternoon naps… sometimes I just accidentally fall asleep πŸ˜… but I agree, it’s probably a good idea to accept them! 😊
