My Top 5 Hand Creams! 🙌 Building ’em back up 👊

Hello! How are you doing lately? 💕 A lot of people are becoming complacent with all that’s going on in the world, no longer washing their hands nearly as much as they should be doing (some don’t even wear masks when they are meant to or socially distance themselves but we won’t go there! 🙄). This post is dedicated to these babies: 🙌 – HANDS! (Don’t tell me you didn’t see it coming sooner or later 😂). With all the sanitation living it up in the lives of those who are doing what is right it’s important that we take good care of our hands and build ’em back up to what they once were!

Today I’m going to show you the creams that I’ve been getting good use out off lately and also a salve that I think is brilliant! This is more or less a series of mini reviews of the products I swear by at the moment and they all went through a little photoshoot so are feeling majorly proud of themselves right now ⭐ so be kind to them whilst they have their moment! 😂 I’ve written a lot of long posts recently and you were well overdue a quick fix from yours truly so enjoy! And action…📸

Ted Baker London peony spritz

I gravitate towards this cream a LOT, mostly because it’s always close by through being on top of my self care stash-box and it also smells super nice! 🌸 (Let’s pretend the cherry blossom emoji is a peony please 👍😂). It just seems to be there in-front of me whenever I feel like my hands need a little pampering and it gets the job done nicely and leaves them smelling fresh! I wrote a bit about it in this favourites post and was going on about how it’s nice to not go between brands to find “the one”…. clearly I’ve opened my mind up to more possibilities since then and am making use of my collection or else this post would have never seen the light of day! 😯😂

Bloom collection by Superdrug – Mandarin and Lime basil

This was in a gift set I got last Christmas and all of the products have the same marvelous scent! (PS. The lotion and body wash in the collection featured in this post)……Is mandarin a citrus fruit because I feel compelled to call it that when describing this fragrance? 🤔 (I’ll just ask you when I can’t be bothered to Google it 😂). It’s very fruity but you can tell it only derives from particular flavours and isn’t packed with randomness so it’s not overpowering at all 😍💫

Zoella Beauty – Winter Wonderhand

Even though we’re officially nowhere near Winter (rainy days try to convince us of otherwise! 🌧️) this hand cream remains a firm favourite and I’m surprised I’ve made it last so long after receiving it for Christmas back in 2017! 😮…actually I’m not surprised, I have a habit of spacing things out so that I never have to part ways with them 😏😂 A little goes a long way with this so maybe that contributes to my hoarding efforts that are actually totally effortless now that I think about it (the effort comes from doing the opposite and tidying up 🙈😂). You can read my review on the products from this particular range by Zoella HERE! I’m in love with it 😆✨

Nivea Shea butter body lotion cream

Despite gravitating towards that Ted Baker cream quite often, what I actually use the most are various Nivea body lotions (For the purpose of the post I’m calling this one a cream! 😂). They seem to do an even better job of hydrating and I’ve found that it absorbs really fast into the skin so they aren’t annoyingly making your hands slippery whilst you’re trying to go about your day like you’d think they would being a body lotion.

I’m yet to see if Dove lotions have a similar effect although I do find that their hand creams don’t sink into my skin well and just lather on unlike their body products which I adore! (Can’t remember the last time I said “adore”…long story short you’ll be hearing it more! It’s an extra way to describe my viewpoint on things I suppose 😂).

Soap & Glory Hand food – original pink rose fragrance

You can’t go wrong with Soap & Glory! 🙌 Not only do they smell heavenly but this particular cream is a real treat as it truly does what it says on the label! It makes you feel like your hands are being fed the best of the best and do you know what? They’ll thank you for it (visually…hands can’t talk, that would be weird 😓).

Burt’s Bees hand salve

This is my plus one that wasn’t even a last edition to the post, I only just realized it isn’t a cream but I must include it anyway! 🙄😂 It’s more or less a soothing salve that starts out feeling a tad oily and it can also be a tiny bit arduous (if a simple act of self care can be coined as that term 😶) getting enough onto your fingers via the tin to apply to your hands but it’s worth the hassle because it’s very healing in the long run. I like to follow up with one of the creams above and then I’m good to go! 👏

Thank you for reading! 😉 Have you been taking care of your hands lately? You know you should! Tut-tut if not (I’m just kidding, I’m not judging at all! 😏😂). Any creams you’d recommend? Let me know in the comments below and I hope you have a wonderful day! ✨❤️

  1. Oh wow, Zoella beauty products seem like they happened years ago! They were so expensive, so I also had the habit of making them last as long as possible haha. I do wash my hands a lot anyways, and I noticed my hands were getting really dry because of it. I used the Hand Food one until it ran out, then rooted through some old boxes and found more unused hand creams! Such a helpful post, and hopefully a gentle reminder (as small as it may seem) for people to wash their hands x

    1. Don’t they! Yeah mine were gifts as I don’t know if could have brought myself to spend that much on them, as much as I wanted to do so 😂 It’s always nice to come across products you’ve forgotten about, they seem new again ✨😂 Thank you so much for reading! 💕
