Apps I could NOT live without!…I’m not even joking 😂

Hi everyone! Happy Easter 🐣 (This post has got nothing to do with it because I’m not good at planning stuff, a lil bit of introduction honesty for ya there 😂). I hope you’re well and ready for a chatty post? Don’t worry, I’ll do all of the talking! You just sit back, relax and mumble incoherent words every so often so that I know you’re still there, agreed? I’m in a dramatic mood, hence the title of this post 😂

Contrary to popular belief about bloggers, I don’t spend a lot of time on my phone (mainly because I’ve made a huge effort to cut down on it) and because of this, when I am on it I get ambushed by built up notifications which try to persuade me to hang around, the majority of which are from the following apps (I guess I could live without them but I’m not willing to take that risk):

WordPress

I’m on this app the most because I blog completely through my phone so it’s an absolute lifesaver! Mine takes a long time to load but with every update it gets better and I’ve figured out little hacks to get around some of the glitches 😂 Other than that it’s so easy to use and I cannot imagine blogging on any other platform because not only are the support team very helpful but I think the community here is second to none and I don’t know if I would experience it like this elsewhere. Actually I’m curious! Are any of you on other blogging platforms? What are they like and can you compare the two? (There’s some homework for you, don’t disappoint me 😂🎓).

Pinterest

This is a great source of positivity and it’s full of quotes that help me when I’m anxious or feeling low. I tend to mindlessly scroll through it and am forever changing my phones lock screen/wallpaper but most recently it’s where I’ve gone for bullet journal inspiration! Last October I was putting a lot of effort into creating pins but tbh I got really bored with that so I’ve just stuck to to the side of it which I find fun!

Cannon Camera connect

Through this I can send photos straight from my camera to my phone so it means I am able to use my camera a lot more for blog pictures as its so fast to transfer everything and easy to use! 📷

Whatsapp

I have used this to message family and friends for years. I started out on Viber instead but then something went wrong with it so I switched over and haven’t looked back since! I don’t think there’s much more to say about this one! Moving on swiftly…😂

Castbox

This is my go to app to listen to all of my favourite podcasts! (Which you can read more about here…there’s a blog post for everything! 😂). There is not one podcast that I haven’t been able to find on it so I’d recommend it if you’re looking for one to use! 👍 What are your favourite podcasts? 💕

The Trail

I think that this is the best game I’ve ever played on my phone! 🙌 That is a huge statement to make but it’s honestly like nothing else I’ve come across before. In it you travel down a path through various landscapes/seasons and on the way you gather materials + accept mini quests. Every now and then you come to a resting point where you can trade/sell/buy or craft before you carry on with your journey. It’s incredibly relaxing and if you haven’t already tried it (+ have the storage space to do so) then I’d so go for it because I promise you won’t regret it! (If you do there are no promise refunds 🙌😂).

Instagram

I’ve really been enjoying Instagram lately! (You can find/stalk me here, whatever you prefer! 😂). I don’t know what’s changed with my perception of it but I’ve felt more like I want to share stuff and I got into the habit of posting everyday! (If not to my feed, to my stories which is a shocker with my track record on there). Yesterday I couldn’t post because our electricity went and with it our signal disappeared for some reason but I’m back at it today! It’s such a positive space to be right now and I’m glad I came to realize that ✨

    thanks for this post. i found it very informative – i’m going to be downloading castbox now 😀 i’ve been meaning to give podcasts a go, and also that game sounds very tempting and very up my street!
    so i felt like sharing my apps:
    -whatsapp, youtube, netflix, wordpress, pinterest, snapchat for obvious reasons
    – my notes app where i throw all manners of thoughts, reminders in
    – insta – i don’t think i follow you 😦 what’s your username? my phone i also believe updated or something and i no longer have the dark mode 😥
    -webtoon: great app for reading anime for free
    – amazon kindle: reading free books
    – marvel unlimited: again reading all the free comics
    – sherlock holmes: all the books for free
    – ludo king: virtual games online with friends
    – some accounting article apps, and college things

It’s so calming but fun at the same time 🍃 I really need to get a notes app, right now I just use my email drafts folder to write down stuff and pray that I don’t accidentally hit send to anyone 😂 My username on Instagram is: elsielmc ✨ I didn’t know insta had a dark mode too 😮 I live in dark mode on Twitter 😂 Webtoon sounds great!       1. i just downloaded it!! idk what to listen to first, all the browsing is so excited 😀
        oh gosh, the reason why i got notes was because i used to email draft but one time i accidentally cleared my draft box and it was A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. by the time i realised, i had also cleared out my trash can haha
        just given you a follow and my oh my!!! you have such an aesthetic feed! imma have to give you a spam once my phone is all charged up 😀
        i live on dark mode on everything where possible hehe. took me a while but the dark mode on whatsapp has grown on me. wbu?
        oh and also i forgot to ramble about other blogging sites! i previously had a go at used wix and some other blogging site that started with w. i just found the design aspect and level of interaction available with readers and other bloggers wasn’t to my liking. wordpress is the best in my eyes. such a welcoming community and so easy to grow and learn

I would recommend the Welcome to Night Vale podcast but with all that’s going on I have steered clear of it for some reason as it feels like we’re living in an episode of it in isolation 😂 oh no! That must have felt terrible 😦 If I deleted my email drafts accidentally I’d never forgive myself, I always try to remember to write them down but also always forget 😂 ahh thank you!! I just listened to your latest piano video and my God you’re incredible! 🙌🎹 Well this is embarrassing because I had absolutely no idea that WhatsApp had a dark mode 😮 I’mma live my life in darkness now 😂 I heard that bloggers can’t reply to comments on Wix, is that true? It seems like each platform has its drawbacks but yes WordPress is simply amazing! 💕

        hahaha i didnt know either until i was trying to swap numbers and i saw a dark mode option and i was like (o_o) OOOOOH
        tbh i didn’t get much interactions on wix to discover if i could reply to comments or not haha. but i had trouble with the way people got notified about blog posts. it just wasn’t very idk ideal?
