Apps I could NOT live without!…I’m not even joking 😂

Hi everyone! Happy Easter 🐣 (This post has got nothing to do with it because I’m not good at planning stuff, a lil bit of introduction honesty for ya there 😂). I hope you’re well and ready for a chatty post? Don’t worry, I’ll do all of the talking! You just sit back, relax and mumble incoherent words every so often so that I know you’re still there, agreed? I’m in a dramatic mood, hence the title of this post 😂

Contrary to popular belief about bloggers, I don’t spend a lot of time on my phone (mainly because I’ve made a huge effort to cut down on it) and because of this, when I am on it I get ambushed by built up notifications which try to persuade me to hang around, the majority of which are from the following apps (I guess I could live without them but I’m not willing to take that risk):

WordPress

I’m on this app the most because I blog completely through my phone so it’s an absolute lifesaver! Mine takes a long time to load but with every update it gets better and I’ve figured out little hacks to get around some of the glitches 😂 Other than that it’s so easy to use and I cannot imagine blogging on any other platform because not only are the support team very helpful but I think the community here is second to none and I don’t know if I would experience it like this elsewhere. Actually I’m curious! Are any of you on other blogging platforms? What are they like and can you compare the two? (There’s some homework for you, don’t disappoint me 😂🎓).

Pinterest

This is a great source of positivity and it’s full of quotes that help me when I’m anxious or feeling low. I tend to mindlessly scroll through it and am forever changing my phones lock screen/wallpaper but most recently it’s where I’ve gone for bullet journal inspiration! Last October I was putting a lot of effort into creating pins but tbh I got really bored with that so I’ve just stuck to to the side of it which I find fun!

Cannon Camera connect

Through this I can send photos straight from my camera to my phone so it means I am able to use my camera a lot more for blog pictures as its so fast to transfer everything and easy to use! 📷

Whatsapp

I have used this to message family and friends for years. I started out on Viber instead but then something went wrong with it so I switched over and haven’t looked back since! I don’t think there’s much more to say about this one! Moving on swiftly…😂

Castbox

This is my go to app to listen to all of my favourite podcasts! (Which you can read more about here…there’s a blog post for everything! 😂). There is not one podcast that I haven’t been able to find on it so I’d recommend it if you’re looking for one to use! 👍 What are your favourite podcasts? 💕

The Trail

I think that this is the best game I’ve ever played on my phone! 🙌 That is a huge statement to make but it’s honestly like nothing else I’ve come across before. In it you travel down a path through various landscapes/seasons and on the way you gather materials + accept mini quests. Every now and then you come to a resting point where you can trade/sell/buy or craft before you carry on with your journey. It’s incredibly relaxing and if you haven’t already tried it (+ have the storage space to do so) then I’d so go for it because I promise you won’t regret it! (If you do there are no promise refunds 🙌😂).

Instagram

I’ve really been enjoying Instagram lately! (You can find/stalk me here, whatever you prefer! 😂). I don’t know what’s changed with my perception of it but I’ve felt more like I want to share stuff and I got into the habit of posting everyday! (If not to my feed, to my stories which is a shocker with my track record on there). Yesterday I couldn’t post because our electricity went and with it our signal disappeared for some reason but I’m back at it today! It’s such a positive space to be right now and I’m glad I came to realize that ✨

  2. Love ittt! ❤ I love WhatsApp too and I used to have the WordPress app but only used it to reply to comments. I don't know why but I can't blog on my phone for the life of me. I like the physical keyboard more haha. I listened to Sold in America and then Coffeebreak French but that was about it. The link to your podcast post isn't there – can you send me the url?

Thank you so much!! 💕 I would love to experience blogging through my laptop (or even just seeing my page on it) but I only have internet through my phone 😭 It would be a lot easier to not have to go goggle eyes at my phone all of the time or depend solely on it 😂 Ahhh thank you for letting me know! Apps I use regularly on my phone is definitely Pinterest as it contains lots of inspiration and just things for everyone really 😊 I also use Snapchat (to talk to my friends!) a lot, and TikTok because I’m actually an aesthetic tiktoker so it’s one of my mot used apps 😂 I use Wattpad aswell to publish my novels and read online books! 💕 I really enjoyed reading this and will definitely be trying out some of the apps 😊 xx

    1. Thank you!! I started using Pinterest last October and I wish I’d gotten into it sooner! I only go on Snapchat to reply to friends who choose to message me from there but if I’m messaging them I will just use WhatsApp 😂 I think what scared me off Snapchat was that a month or so ago someone hacked into my account, luckily they didn’t do anything and it reminded me that I had forgotten to set it to two factor authentication in the privacy settings! I’m so tempted to download TikTok but I just know I’d be on it all the time 😂 I was on Wattpad last night reading a chapter of a book to see if I should buy it as I’m going on a bit of a bookish shopping spree on book depository atm 😂📚 ahh thank you so much 🤗💕💕

Pinterest is amazing, I don’t se it much as a social platform but more to just look through the amazing, personalised home feed 💖 Ah that makes sense, I use WhatsApp a lot to keep in touch with my family and it’ great for group chats 😊 Oh gosh, that must have been really traumatic! That hasn’t happened to me yet *touch wood* but it would definitely scare me off the app if it did 😓 Honestly it is pretty addictive and you will go on it a lot – I set screen time on my phone so I’m limited from wasting away my day through it 😂 Instead I just scroll through Pinterest lol! That sounds so good Elsie, I’m interested in buying books on Watty but there are also lots of amazing books for free on there too (I might do a post about that 😂) Enjoy your bookish shopping spree and anytime – love your posts as per usual! xx

I had a while where I’d create my own pins and share them and I’m starting to get blog views through from that but I dont enjoy making the pins so I’m trying my best to just enjoy the scrolling side of it and not get sidetracked into what I think I should be doing. I wish I could work my way through reading the books that are free online but the staring at the screen wreaks havoc on my migraines so I’ll read the first chapter and if I like it/have wanted it for a while I’ll pop it in my basket. Ahh thank you!! 🤗💕💕

A few of my pins are made by me, but not many as it is so time-consuming 😅 Yes, I love creating boards and pinning pictures to it – that does help with the productivity side of things 💖 Aww that sucks! 😔 Migraines must be so sore! I understand that – sometimes I have to remind myself to read paper books because staring at the screen does nothing for your eyes and brain 😂 Let me know if you enjoy the book your buying and anytime! 😊 xx

      2. Good luck with your studies! 📚 Its been a while since I did college/schoolwork but I want to get back into it again, especially to pass the time now but I have a habit with not sticking to things and getting distracted 😂
