My 2019 Resolutions Revisited!

Hi everyone! ❤️ It’s time to do that thingamajig where I look back on the past annoyingly not being allowed to ignore the bad bits 🤷😂 It doesn’t feel like 2019 happened as it’s already been washed away like a fresh wave approaching the sand on a beach. That wave is 2020 and I’m ready to make it happen! 🏖️😂 As I sit here repeating the words “revisiting my 2019 resolutions” it’s like I’ve only just written them and yet they are slightly different as to what I wish for the new year so they must go! 💫 Let’s see how I did (you can check out the previous post HERE):

Blogging Goals

Reach 3000 followers & host a giveaway

It wasn’t to be with either of these goals (I’m off to a fabulous start here 😂). I think in terms of a giveaway, it will happen one day I just wasn’t prepared to set aside the time for gathering stuff together for it 🙄😂 Strangely enough I’m not bothered about failing to reach 3000 followers as I am now of the mindset that if it’s going to happen it will do so in its own time and if it doesn’t then that is okay too ✨

• Get into a habit of advertising posts on Instagram + just using Instagram more in general

I did! 😄 I advertised every post in my stories and leading up to when I got the flu in both November and December I was on the platform regularly. It’s kind of slowed down now as if I’m honest I’m not that interested in checking it unless I’m sharing about a new post. Maybe it will pick up again, who knows? Not me anyway 😂

• Be inspired to write what I want to write

For a while it felt like I was working on autopilot, churning out posts, not having the time to appreciate them in their entirety before I shipped them out but through both enjoying and losing myself in the writing process I got into the swing of things and took the time to hold onto my thoughts before sharing them which really helped and made me feel a lot more in control.

Life Goals

• Meet new people

Do you know what? This actually happened! I won’t go into detail as I’d like to hold onto that side of things but I met a lot of new people in 2019 which at times was a hella daunting but it helped to make the year a good one!

• Live life to the fullest & be confident + productive!

2019 was a brilliant year for this so I’m hoping things can only go up from here ✨ I did things even though they scared me and only let flare-ups hold me back from stuff. When I was in control of decision-making I made things happen and didn’t let the opportunity pass *Pat’s self on back and tries not to feel silly doing so* 😂

• Do up the garden

I put together two pots at the front of the house with Dwarf Lucifer flowers and my sister planted a load of sensory flowers in a barrel at our front door last summer (or maybe it was Autumn 🤔). That’s about all I can think of right now!

Start driving lessons

It’s so strange to think that at one point I believed this would be unachievable due to nerves but it happened! I have 2 more mandatory lessons to go before I continue to take them until I feel ready to do the test which will fingers crossed be this year!! 🚗

• Start exercising and/or doing yoga/pilates

I am now going to physio which will really help get me into an exercise routine that won’t trigger my chronic pain. I think I tried out pilates at the beginning of the year but then other phases took over 😂

• Start new course

I both started and completed an accounting course BOOYAH 😄 (That’s a made-up congratulatory word 😂).

and my random goal: I want to buy/wear a pair of heels

I tried on heels but didn’t find a pair that I was willing to buy 👎 Deep down I know that I wouldn’t feel comfortable in them but that was kinda the whole idea, doing something out of my comfort zone. I think this will be carried forward as a silent unmentioned goal 👠

Thank you for reading! 😉 Farewell 2019, you were sound ❤️ Did you set yourself any new years resolutions? How did you do with them? Don’t leave me hanging! Let me know and have a wonderful day ❤️

    1. Thank you! ❤️ Yeah I feel like things happen when we don’t think about them so I need to block it out and not add it as a resolution in the future 😂 Best of luck with trying pilates! 🤸 I remember it made me feel very calm and gave me a clear mind for the day whenever I did it in the morning. Happy new year to you too lovely, hope you have a great one! 😄Xx
