My skincare wish list – March 2019

Hi everyone! How are you? ❤️ Today I’m going to be sharing my skincare wish list! Recently my skin has been playing up and the dryness, patches and sore areas are more evident than usual. I’m forever flicking through magazines and various products have jumped out and caught my attention so I thought, seeing as I don’t wear makeup, I should step up my skincare routine and take note of what it takes in order to do this so here we are now really! (Simple as 👌😂). The following are six products that I would like to try:

Bio oil dry skin gel

Bio oil is something that has done the rounds in our house for years so when I heard they are now doing a gel for dry skin I didn’t for one minute doubt that it will work as I trust the brand so much! Even the smallest tub is a bit steep in price but I suppose it’s worth it if it works.

Simple kind to skin soothing facial scrub

This is one of the many Simple products that I want to try (as I’m yet to do so with any). I’m just interested to see how beneficial it is towards delicate skin as so many brands claim to be and are quite the opposite but I get the feeling that Simple aren’t lying. I’ve only just realized that I have more body lotions than I do things for my face (and even then the things for my face don’t work 😂) so I think it’s definitely time I take a trip to buy some new things.

Carmex moisturising lip balm

My lips are in a state and Vaseline doesn’t seem to be doing the job on stopping them from drying out so I’m intrigued to see how good products solely advertised for lips work.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel cream for dry skin

I’ll admit this was an afterthought added to this post 😂 I’ve been wanting to try a Neutrogena hydro boost product for a while now and after reading a couple of reviews I’ve all the more reason to give them a go! I’ve had both good and bad experiences with Neutrogena stuff so I’m hoping if I get this it will go down well in my books as it sounds so nice!

Vichy mineral 89

A few months ago I used a sample of Vichy mineral 89 and it was brilliant so I’d love to splurge and buy it with the hope that it would still have the same effect. It kept my skin looking hydrated and not all of the liquid absorbed at first so it was like going about my day with the feel of a face mask (maybe I should have halved the sample but it was too good to resist! 😂).

Garnier natural honey flower toner for dry skin

I have the gel wash natural honey flower gel wash (which featured on my October favourites last year HERE) and up until now it’s been really good (I’m at a crossroads right now trying to figure out if it is the cause of my most recent breakout) so I’d like to try an accompanying product!

All of the images used in this post are from the Boots website.

Thank you for reading lovely! 😉 What are your favourite skincare products? Have you tried any of the above? Do you have any recommendations for dry/sore skin? Let me know and have a beautiful day! ❤️

  1. All of these products sound amazing!! I live in Chicago and it’s been a really rough winter! My skin has been feeling dry from the cold and I’m curious to try out the Neutrogena Hydro Boost cream! Awesome post, dear! x

    1. Ahh so sorry to hear you got burned when baking! I hate it when that happens. If that doesn’t help I recommend Sudocrem incase you haven’t tried it already as although I’d usually use it straight after it’s also brilliant in getting rid of scars. Thank you so much for reading lovely! 😄❤️

      1. I shall look it up. Thanks girl. I did not know about it. I have two of them on my arms. More than me, Adi is concerned about getting rid of them because they almost make it look like my husband abuses me. 😉

      2. No problem! I had a strange mark come up all around my eye a few weeks ago and was too afraid to leave the house incase people thought I’d been hurt too 😬 I wish you the best of luck with it healing ❤️xx

  2. I’ve tried the Neutrogena gel, it’s not bad, but I haven’t seen anything super exciting from it. Though I do have eczema, so that’s a bit more than just dry skin.

I’ve always wanted to try out Bio Oil, but like you mentioned, the price is pretty steep.

    1. That’s a shame you didn’t think much of the gel, hopefully it will work for me. Isn’t it steep in price!? I thought it was only me when I said that but I’m glad you think so too 😂 Thank you so much for reading lovely 😄❤️

      1. I always see coupons near me for like $5 off. When you have a coupon worth that much, you *know* it’s an expensive item. lol!

    1. Don’t they! I hope you find what works for your skin 💞 From the sample I tried of it I would highly recommend the Vichy mineral 89 for dry skin as it hydrates so well. Thank you so much for reading lovely 😄❤️

    2. I use this amazing serum that has 30% glycerin and hyaluronic acid that draws in moisture into the skin super well! It’s from Rodan + Fields!
