2019 New Year’s Resolutions!

Hi everyone! How are you? πŸ’• I’ll bet you haven’t seen one of these posts yet? (My sarcasm levels are on fire today πŸ”₯πŸ˜‚). After much deliberation and saying that I wasn’t going to do this here I have decided that I am actually going be sharing my resolutions for the new year! I don’t know why I thought I shouldn’t before but I soon realized that sharing them gives me more of a chance of breaking out and accomplishing them so why not just do it!

I have way more life goals than I do blog goals at the moment but there you go! πŸ˜‚ Here are my new years resolutions!

Blogging Goals

Reach 3000 followers

I am well aware that blogging isn’t all about the stats but it’s always nice and uplifting to see some growth in audience and this is something I would like to have seen happen by this time next year (here’s to hoping anyway! πŸ˜‚).

Host a giveaway

I really really really want to do a giveaway this year! Maybe if I hit the milestone of 3000 followers it could become a reality!

Get into a habit of advertising posts on Instagram + just use Instagram more in general πŸ“Έ

I did this all the way through 12 days of Xmas and it was a lot of fun! I’m not very active on social media mostly because I’m hardly ever inspired to be there and when I find something that makes me happy I’ll go off really quick before I find something that upsets me πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚ Sharing to my story whenever I upload a post has kept me from not giving up on having that profile entirely and so I want to keep it up! I’m here if you fancy following me!

Be inspired to write what I want to write!

Not that I don’t already write what I want but sometimes I’ll think that stuff I want to write is not up to par and I’ll just leave it. This year I would like to stick to writing stuff even if I feel like it won’t go down as well as other posts do and that way I won’t waste that sudden burst of inspiration!

Life Goals

Meet new people

Because of my chronic pain I don’t get to go out and do things that would otherwise allow me to meet new people and it is so ANNOYING but last year some things popped up out of the blue and changed that so I’m hoping (and kinda praying at the same time πŸ˜‚) a lot more will happen this year that will work in my favour.

Live life to the fullest & be confident + productive!

In any which order! πŸ˜‚

Do up the garden 🌱

I have already made a start with this one by painting all of the fence outside with the help of my mum and it’s starting to look really nice out there. This year I would like to fully complete the task of the plant bed on the side of our house, I’ve already bought half the stuff needed to do it and just need a good energy day to get out there and tackle it!

Start driving lessons

I’ve been driving around the driveway every now and then and really just getting back into being behind the wheel practicing so I’m hoping I will build up the courage before the year ends to at least give a proper lesson a go.

Start exercising and/or doing yoga/pilates

With flare-ups this isn’t the easiest thing to do but since getting a trampoline for Christmas I have found it a good way to strengthen my muscles even if it’s only for a short period of time. Whether it be in classes or at home I also want to strengthen my muscles and yoga/pilates have been on the cards for a while now so I’m going to give one or the other a go and incorporate it into my daily routine! (I started doing pilates yesterday and was left feeling so refreshed!).

Start new course

It feels good knowing what I’m going to do next but nows the tricky part…I have to actually do it πŸ˜‚ I have decided I will be undertaking a ACCA professional Accountant course but the closer I get to signing up the more reasons I have against it in thinking I’m unsure if its really my thing πŸ€” This is an ongoing battle with myself that I feel needs to be decided upon soon so hopefully I will make a decision!

And at least one random goal: I want to buy/wear a pair of heels! πŸ‘

I really do! I’ve seen some nice ones around but they feel like a waste of money when I might not wear them at all πŸ˜‚ Well I want to take that risk with the best possible pair that I cross paths with and give wearing them a go!

Thank you for reading guys! πŸ˜‰ Do you have any new years resolutions? Let me know and I wish you the best of luck with them! Have a beautiful day ❀️

  1. Such a great post! πŸ’• I wish you good luck with all your goals πŸ€ I’m sure you are going to achieve them. I wish to have 1000 followers. You are already on your way to 3000, how amazing wow! It feels good to know that your blog is growing. I can’t wait to join your giveaway in the future. I also have to do driving lessons once but first I need a job and the money for it haha. It also makes me kinda scared. Yoga is amazing. I did two classes and I loved it. I don’t like wearing high heels. It makes me feel uncomfortable. I’m proud of you if you can walk on it πŸ’ͺ

    1. Thank you so much! I’m a bit scared of driving too but I need to remember what I have coming are lessons and not a test πŸ˜‚ I feel like I’m highly likely to fall flat on my face in high heels but I’ll never truly know if I don’t try I suppose. Best of luck with all your goals lovely πŸ˜„πŸ’•

  2. Learning to drive is a great one. Ironically it’s one my list too: I learned to drive in Ireland on the right side of the road (haha) and now I need to learn how to drive the other way – in France!!! I’ll be looking forward to reading how you get on and it’s given me the idea to post about how I get on when I finally pluck up the courage to try! πŸ™‚

    1. I’ve always thought it must be so strange going from driving on one side of the road to the other, best of luck with that! 🚘 I’m nervous and excited at the same time and my theory test runs out in March so I will have to sit that again before the test which is annoying but until then I’m going to try to fit in all of/if not a good amount of the lessons 🀞That’s amazing, hope you have a brilliant 2019! πŸ˜„πŸ’•
