Hi everyone! Happy Halloween ghouls and boo’s (go with it even though boo’s sounds more like an alcoholic beverage than a spooky greeting π»π). October was a busy time despite my initial want for it to be anything but. I soon realized more than ever that I like being busy and can’t get enough of it!
Fatigue flared up like it owned the place and is still going strong. I started the month at a very low point and didn’t feel at all myself. I thought it was down to my migraine medication but couldn’t be sure and felt numb and empty. Nothing I did would bring me out of it but by going through it I’m kind of easing out of it and the tiredness must be a remaining flare-up π€· Either way I’m going for a blood test soon to see if I need to up my intake of iron supplements so November will hopefully be a hell of a lot clearer and nicer to review! October did bring along some definite favourites and I want nothing more than to share them with you so I guess that’s what I shall do! π
Receiving my Bookkeeping and accounts certificate! π
Starting off on a high I finally completed my course and received my certificate! I also got to open + read a letter from my past self that captured how I knew I’d feel (ready to skip along to the next thing) and reminded me that I should live in the moment and be proud. Maybe this plays a part in the downside of October as now I don’t really know what to do with myself coursewise? Either way I’m not giving up and this was something big that I didn’t think I’d achieve so I’m very happy to have completed it! π
“Haunted House” sign

This hangs at the bottom of our staircase and has gotten me in the mood for Halloween (that mood came right down after the pumpkin I carved went moldy so it had to be brought back up somehow! π).
Rainbow coat by Sleek Chic π

This coat was hard to leave behind in Tkmaxx and so I didn’t, the end! ππ I kept spending ages trying it on and putting it back and I didn’t want to think of leaving it and knowing it would disappear fast whilst I was making up my mind so I just got it! π£ (I’m not that bad to go shopping with I’m just a teensy bit indecisive about all good things π).
Cinnamon baked pears π

These were a staple dessert throughout the freezing cold evenings and you can find my recipe here! π I’ve been cooking a lot lately but mostly savoury vegan + gluten free dishes for dinner so they can be eaten by everyone in the house. These pears (like the meals I prepare) are very quick, easy and most importantly fun to throw together!
Garnier skinactive gel wash

My sister gave me this as she had an allergic reaction to it and I was very intrigued to see how good it could be as I know how beneficial honey is. Well it was brilliant and very soothing! I usually steer clear of products that are to be washed off as I fear that most of it ends up down the drain but a lot of the properties of this stayed on my skin and kept it hydrated for ages!
Bloggers Brunch Networking Event
This was a huge confidence boost for me and an even bigger venture for Elsie LMC! I’m so happy that I went not letting my nerves take complete control and later wrote all about what went on here! πΈ
My mum Tracy Beaker

This has been on my TBR list since I heard it was being written and now I’m reading it! It’s so weird seeing Tracy as a mother figure through her daughter’s perspective but it works and I can’t wait to see where it goes! (I’m trying so hard right now not to give anything away as I’ve seen quite a few other bloggers reading this and jumping on the nostalgia train too! ππ).
Hearing my sister talking on the radio! π»
My sister entered a competition for Ireland’s biggest Queen fan and made it into the top 5 where she got to speak on the radio!! π For taking part she won a goodie bag and it was so cool listening in and I was very very proud of her π
Pumpkin spice latte π

I finally tried a pumpkin spice latte and my god it is a cup of Autumnal goodness isn’t it? I’m already planning on getting my next one whenever I’m around Starbucks again (that time can’t seem to come soon enough!). I have an incredibly important question…Are all lattes that creamy? π
Weekend away in Dublin!
I had such an AMAZING time it was difficult to put this trip into words (but I bloody well tried here! π).
Mustard striped top

This top has such smooth material and goes with almost anything including one of my new pairs of glasses which has a golden/yellow tint hidden in amongst a black frame (they almost made it onto my favourites but they’ve been hurting behind my ears so I have to go back and get them refitted π they were so close to making it! π).
New phone case by Hairyworm

I was surprised with this phone case and I love the marble effect of it. It is a lot more durable/hard-wearing than my last one and although it flips shut a different way I’m going used to it and really like it! (Hence it being on my favourites list! π€¦π).
Thank you for reading! π Are you doing anything to celebrate Halloween? πΉ I’m not dressing up this year (that makes it sound like I usually do…and that is a rarity! π). Take care and have a lovely day! β€οΈ
Lovely post β€οΈπ I also didn’t dress up this year for Halloween. I’m always dressed up as a witch π Your mustard striped top is beautiful π I also love the rainbow coat. Congratulations for achieving your certificate πͺ You have to be proud of yourself beautiful. Also really cool that your sister spoke at the radio. I never tried pumpkin spice latte. I always hear people talking about it. Haha, well I have to try it now π You make me curious

Thank you!! I always think up ideas at the back of my mind of what I would dress up as but never do it π this time round I was thinking a masked person from the Purge as then all I’d have had to do was find a mask! Thank you! π€ It is delicious, and an interesting take on pumpkin for sure! πβ€οΈXx

I absolutely love your coat Lucy. I bet it really suits you too. Sorry your fatigue has been kicking your butt. Letβs hope the flare is short lived. I used to love watching Tracey Beaker as a teen. Xxx

Thank you so much Holly, that means a lot π€ How did you feel about when Tracy returned to the dumping ground for the later episodes to help Mike? I loved those ones after a while but not as much as the originals β€οΈxx

π Good thing the book doesn’t carry that feeling too or else it wouldn’t be my bed time read (it’d bring me down otherwise π). Happy Halloween!! π»β€οΈxx
