A-Z of Summer!

Hi everyone! How are you? ❤ Today I thought I’d share something that has been a work in progress for AGES (mainly because my mind is a blank canvas trying it’s best to avoid any form of creativity right now much to my annoyance 🖼 it had to happen after that glorious bout of inspiration didn’t it!? 😯😂).

My A-Z of Summer is a list of what each letter of the alphabet makes me think of summerwise! (It’s basically what is to be expected of an A-Z but of course I’ve only gone and added a mini essay with some of the letters after my mind was supposedly empty 🤔 meaningless rambling at it’s finest! 😂 Here goes everything! 🛎

A is for adventure!

B is for beach 🏖 a place I’ve managed to get down to a lot so far this summer!

C is for Costa cold drinks! 😍 I’ve tried both the watermelon and coconut fruit cooler & the salted caramel crunch frostino so far! 😋

D is for dresses….not that I wear many but I do wear skirts now and then. S below is jam-packed as it is to try add that in so I’ll just say dresses as a substitute for them! 👗

E is for events! This Summer has been full of them and it was both a nice surprise and change! 🎤

F is for flowers and fans 😌 whether nature’s beauties are sprouting from the ground or feature as a print on an outfit they’re still screaming Summer to me! 🌻 I’m not being overly dramatic when I tell you we would not have survived through the warm weather (that is now going down) without a fan or two…or ten 🙄😂

G is for gardening 🌱

H is for hot, humid and heat….what do you mean they all fall under the same boat? 😕 I don’t see it, therefore it does not exist (because you can see the hotness, humidity and heat Lucy? 🙄😂). H is also for horseflies which have become members of the family in their own right! 😫🐝

I is for icepacks 😌 absolute legends at this time of year!

J is for jumpsuits

K is for kite! It hasn’t been windy enough this year for one of these…heck I don’t even think I’ve got one! 😐😂

L is for lotion and long days thanks to that glowing orb in the sky! 😴

M is for mid year fantasizing about Christmas! 🎄

N is for nostalgia ✨ memories of past Summers when it felt like the season went on forever (mainly because I didn’t understand the concept of time when I was younger. All I knew was that this was longer than a weekend away from school and that I loved it! 😂).

O is for outdoors 🌳

P is for picnics 🍏 (magic tip: if you want it to rain just plan a picnic! The rain will fall as soon as everything’s ready I assure you! 😂).

Q is for quenching thirst with a glass of water with ice in it! (Or Coke/Pepsi! 😋). This is a lot more appreciated on a hot Summers day.

R is for road trips! 🏞 Whether the destination is known or not it’s nice to get out whenever possible and roll the windows down whilst the radio is blaring out all your favourite tunes!

S is for sand, sea, shorts, strawberries (that are currently being sold in stalls on the side of roads 😋🍓) and *cough* sun…..honestly I don’t know how that last one got in there! I prefer trips to the beach without the sun as if it’s out and proud we can’t stay long for health reasons but I couldn’t leave it off a summer list now could I? It’s basically what sets it apart from all the other seasons ☀😐😂

T is for tourism! Not only seeing people visit where you live on their holiday and feeling proud of it but also being the tourist in your own area and visiting hidden gems!

U is for umbrella ☔ which is needed on the best of days! (Am I right?!….no?…okay then 🙈😂).

V is for vacation 🌴

W is for watermelon lollies! 🍉

X is for ❤xx…..I don’t want to leave this one empty so I’ll put kisses (xx) because when accompanied by a heart emoji they make me feel really summery for some reason! 😂

Y is for yellow grass because of the torturous sun 😂 (maybe the sun got the memo that I don’t like it and that’s why its going away 😯 ah well, it was going to happen sooner or later 😂).

Z is for zest….no not from fruit! 🍋 I mean the zest for life that Summer brings along! 💃
