A Moment In Time #2

18/3/2018

At this moment in time I am working my way through one of those “wordsearch a day” books. I was up in my room going through some clothes I set aside for Spring when I got called down to rest and I grabbed it to bring down with me. I do this a lot without even meaning to, like I’m silently saying “okay I’ll come down but I’m bringing this with me” It’s almost like I have to prove a point having something to control about it or show for my wasted time when not even I give a damn about what comes downstairs with me ๐Ÿ˜‚. I was halfway down before I even realized what I’d chosen and instead of putting it aside I decided to use it instead. I have now calculated that we are 77 days into the year and guess how many wordsearch’s I have done?…not that many anyway ๐Ÿ˜‚ 22 (not including some already randomly filled in)!

My legs hurt today so it’s only right that I didn’t stay up in my room as much as it annoyed me to break away from it I know that I shouldn’t be on my own when these things happen. For once I do have an idea what this flare-up is because of…..the snow! โ„ In not being fully prepared for it I grabbed my thermal socks this morning thinking that would prevent the worse of my Raynaud’s and then instead of that happening my legs have overheated and swelled feeling like they’re on fire.

The wordsearch’s are better than I thought they’d be, they encourage productive scribbling as a way of venting ๐Ÿ˜‚ My mind is fully lost in them and being taken off the pain. I am using a blue Bic pen and it keeps leaking through the pages and onto my hands. This always seems to happen with Bic pens but they’re still my favourite to write with ๐Ÿ˜‚ The cold that came with the snow luckily isn’t as bad as it was earlier this month which is probably why this flare-up has come as more of a shock to the system than usual. The house is so cosy and warm holding onto the heat like a big blanket has been wrapped around it making the wind sound muffled and far away. Aside from that all is quiet.

The image used for this post is of a flower my dad picked for me the other day when we all thought Spring had sprung. I was wearing my fluffy dressing gown (as per usual! ๐Ÿ˜‚) and thought that using it as the backdrop described the contrasting weather many of us have been experiencing lately in between Winter not wanting to go away and Spring trying to rightfully take it’s place. I know who I want to win the fight that’s for sure! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thank you for reading! ๐Ÿ˜‰ What is happening around you right now? Let me know and have a lovely day! โค

  1. Word searches are great, aren’t they? I find them a lot of fun and they’re a good thing to focus on. I get a lot of leg pain and it’s always so important to have something to distract you. I’m with you on wanting Spring to break through! I wish I could tell it to hurry up! xxx

    1. Yeah I forgot how relaxing they can be. Usually I’d just do crosswords after I’ve gone through newspapers. I’m happy to hear that it’s something that helps you take your mind off your pain too. Todays weird all of the snow has gone and it feels like spring is truly here, hopefully it stays this time! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Have a lovely day Gracie โคxx
