Hi everyone! How are you today? Can you believe yet another month in 2017 has drawn to a close? I don’t know how to feel about that 😬😂 I’m glad I’m not the only person who feels this year is going by quickly (or else I’d probably think someone was messing with all the calendars around me to make me go mad otherwise 😂). I hope you had a great September! Last month there were a couple of things that stood out for me as favourites and I can’t wait to share them with you! Relax back with a mug of your favourite hot drink because this is gonna be a long one! 😂
Tilly Parker Autumn leaves diffuser
I started keeping Reed diffusers in my room at the beginning of the year after realizing my bedroom is where all of the cooking smells travels up the stairs to my room (..despite it being on the other end of the house 😐😂). I didn’t want to leave candles burning in my room whilst I spend time elsewhere so they seemed like the way to go! My last one had a fresh linen scent and was heavenly up until it ran out so I went out with the sole aim of getting a new one! 😂 When I saw this Autumn leaves fragrence I thought what better to pay tribute to the season whilst it’s here? 😄 (…the only pumpkin candles there were caramel and sickening! 😬😂) Beforehand if you had asked me: what does autumn smell like? I would not have had a clue (and would have thought you’re incredibly poetic! 😂) but after breathing in the scent of this diffuser I have a smell to put towards the season. Although it is very strong and I’m trying to think of somewhere to move it to in my room other that the shelf over my bed in the picture above 😂 you know when you leave a candle burning for too long and you leave the room and come back you’re hit by a wave of sickly perfume that you can’t believe you didn’t notice before…yes it’s that powerful! 😂 I might have to put the cap back on it at night….fish it out of the bin for me would you? 😬😂
new slumberdown duvet! 😍😴
I can’t tell you how long I’ve been meaning to get myself a new duvet! My old one was so old it I don’t think it even registered as a particular size 😂 I’m guessing it was a raggedy king-size squished up in double quilts 🙈🙄😂 so when I saw this Slumberdown duvet in Argos advertised with 4 pillows for €35.99 I could not think of anything else!….I was expecting too much of a bargain for that price though as it turned out the pillows didn’t come with it at all and were kind of disguised in a way that would make you think you get the entire set and so dream of having the entire set and look pretty silly in paying the full price for the duvet alone 🙄 I suppose it’s not a bad deal considering the prices of the other duvets and how ecstatic I am with it now! 😂 It fits perfectly in my duvet covers and is so comfortable and warm. It’s a 13.5 tog (I had to quickly understand the meaning of a tog rating and am now obsessed with the word “tog”😂) so will be heavenly warm in the winter yet I fear I shall bake come spring 😬😂 either way for now I am incredibly happy with this purchase..it may be the smartest thing I’ve bought in ages 😂 I have been getting no sleep at all with my flare ups recently (also may have something to do with the fact my family and I went to see the new “it” movie 😬😂 when I’m lying there feeling unwell and I can’t sleep it’s the last film I want to be reminded of!) so I’m glad I’m trying to do all that I can to make it something to look forward to.
Doc Martin
At the beginning of the month when my sister went out for her birthday, my mum and I watched Doc Martin together (it was difficult to veer away from our usual Disney movie but we did it! 😬😂). All I can say now is this must be my favourite thing to watch! 😂 It’s so peaceful and it makes me want to pack up and go live in Cornwall! 😂 I know that it’s been going for ages but seeing as the latest season came out in September I thought I should put it on this list…even though I’m still at season 3 and don’t want to ruin it by watching the new ones 🙄😂 (my mum wants me to skip to the season where Martin and Louisa get married but I’m okay where I am going at a snail’s pace because it’s so relaxing! Sorry ma! 😂).
Smartie brownie! 😋
My mum makes the most delicious brownies! 😋 She is well known for them alongside the detail she puts into cakes in her cake business and I’ve always seen why! I’ve mentioned before that I don’t like cakes so brownies are one of my favourite treats and when my mum told me she was baking us one on her day off I was unbelievably happy! (The trick is to put them in the fridge/freezer so they go sticky and not dry…might not be a trick but it makes them good! 😂).
Hi-Tech trainer’s
I have wanted a new pair of trainers for ages! I have one other pair that I got 2 years ago from Penney’s 🙈😂 I’ve made them last so long as I only wear them in the garden but I thought if I bought myself a new pair I could wear them whenever as the slight heel would be better for my feet than wearing converse all the time.
Graze snack!
I have always wanted to try graze food! My aunt gets them for my little cousins as a treat and so seeing the empty box whilst I stayed with them on holiday I was tempted to get some and see what all the fuss is about. In the store (*cough* TKmaxx 🙄) they had these spicy Sriracha crunch snacks alongside usual flavours like sour cream and chive so i thought I would go for something different not expecting them to be that spicy…I was wrong of course 😂 they are so hot that we’ve picked out all of the non-spicy corn kernals and all that’s left are the dangerously hot ones 😂 they taste really nice but I won’t risk setting my mouth on fire to eat them!
Mod dog bone wood puzzle toy
I have wanted to get my dogs one of these toys for ages! Originally I planned on getting one for Alex (our old husky/sheepdog) because she was very smart and enjoyed a challenge but when we had to re-home her I found myself not wanting to look at these kind of things as I still miss her so much. Recently I changed my whole outlook on the situation, reminding myself again that Alex is being looked after and is much better as an only dog. I decided to buy this dog training toy for Ruby, our Labrador retriever who I should have guessed would not be able to understand the concept of it 🙈😂 it’s a large wooden bone so what does she do? She picks it up opening her jaw as wide as she can and cheekily runs off with it 😂 it was no easy feat getting it back from her. Our cavachon Toby understood it fully! He’s the kind of dog who will stick to doing something if you cheer him on and we had him lifting the little cups off the board for his treats in no time 😂 I’ve decided to try it again with Ruby but in short bursts of time as she has left tooth marks on it already from our little race around the garden 🙄😂 making those new trainers come in handy! 😂
Thank you for reading! 😉💗 What were your September Favourite’s? Have a lovely day!

A big woohoo for Doc Martin. It is one of my favourites and the sight of Port Isaac always makes my heart sing (that is when I am not falling off the couch with rumbling mirth). You are right about the thing about brownies in the freezer and then the gooey goodness of them. I discovered it recently when I baked a whole cake and froze it. It tasted gorgeous after defrosting. Hope you are not letting the reeds take over your senses though. x

Yes! It’s such a relaxing thing to watch! The community there reminds me of the one here blogging (I was going to say I wish I was part of a community like there’s but then we are here aren’t we? 😂). Before I sat down with the intention to watch it I had seen a small part on TV before but I didn’t understand the storyline and so didn’t know what to expect with how hypnotizing and funny it is 😂. Freezing cakes/brownies makes them taste fresher doesn’t it, maybe it’s the moisture so that they don’t crumble then. Yeah I think even though the diffuser smells good it is overwhelming. Never used to be able to smell them when you walk in my room but this one is so strong you cant help but notice it, I might open my window throughout the day to add some proper fresh air into the mix (now that summers over here there’s less chance of wasps getting in 😂). Thank you for reading! Hope you’re having a lovely day 💗

I also chanced upon it only because I had gone to Port Isaac. I had seen all the references and could not get the hoo-ha about this certain Martin. I watched the first episode just like that and I was hooked. I remember laughing out loud and constantly all through. Bert Large is one of my favourites. Now I wonder who is the Bert Large of our wonderful blogging community 😉

Im so jealous you’ve been there! It looks so beautiful and picturesque. Its so cool that going to the area itself made you intrigued to watch the film and not the other way round with the film making you want to go there (that’s like reading the book before seeing the movie! The right way! 😂). Ahhh thank you! 😂💗xx

Well either way, you have got to get yourself there. Cornwall is my favourite place after going around the world a fair bit. You have yourself a wonderful week sans wasps and overtly strong diffusers. xx
