Hi everyone! How is your day going? Or rather how did it go? (It’s surreal to think most of us are living in different time zones! 😵 What time is it where you are?) Anywho! 😂 Recently I showed you my new blog header design (thank you for your encouraging comments about it! 💗) and I told you how I have been working on a few more changes to Elsie LMC to make it more appealing and looked after 😂 (as much as I can until the day comes when I decide to go self-hosted…I’m so worried about that! 🙈 I have way too many questions 😂). They are only little changes but I’m so happy with how they make me realize how I’m steadily growing with my blog.
The biggest change (out of a small bunch 😂) is that I updated my about page! I thought this would be a good idea because it’s the first thing that you lovely lot might come across and so I thought I should make more of an effort and tell you some things about me that those of you who have been with me for a while probably know (I’m quite boring 🙈😂) but those of you who are new might not (and should totally ignore me calling myself boring! 😂). Regardless I would really appreciate if you could take a peek at it!
A few other things I have changed about Elsie LMC are:
My new profile picture! (Wearing an incredibly cozy jumper 😂) thank goodness for Snapchat filters as I’m more comfortable taking selfies when they are kinda funny 😂 (I took my glasses off for this one so that the filter wouldn’t show double pairs like it did before 🙈😂).
I have changed the quote at the top of my website to: Take a chance and see where it takes you! I got this from the book I told you about in my August Favourite’s post, A year at the Star and Sixpence by Holly Hepburn. The character in the book who said it was referring to himself so I changed it so that it can be applied to anyone.
Mini study update! 🤓
Yesterday I started my Bookkeeping and accounts home course after tidying up my work space over the weekend!
…yes starburst sweets are my study aid! 😂 So far the course is everything I hoped it would be and I love how flexible it is going to be around my flare-ups. Although the college sent me the wrong textbook so the lessons don’t correspond the way the assessments want and its very confusing so I am waiting to hear back from them (there had to be something wrong! 😂) Either way I am over the moon with joy! I may not be able to physically attend college but I’m not letting that stop me from moving forward (.. especially not this textbook issue either! 😂).

Sweets are such an important part of study! Some people may say you need healthy snacks, but sugar has always worked for me, and if it works for you then you’re good! 😄

Oooo I love the new changes! 😍 And can I just say I’m completely jealous over your desk – I have a slight desk obsession ( weird but true ) and yours would look amazing in my room spray painted white!😂

I switched to self-hosted a few months ago and it’s definitely a lot more to learn and think about! I’m gradually getting used to it tho. You’ll know when the time is right to switch over. 🙂 Your blog looks awesome btw! And as far as study tips, I have to remove ALL distractions lmao I get distracted so easily! Having my favorite snacks to eat while I study and do homework helps me.

I’m just so dumb! I read “new study” and immediately thought “oh, she’s study something new”. Then I saw your desk and thought “duhhh”. lol anyway the space looks awesome. Very tidy. I’m so glad you’re enjoying your studies. You’re a warrior. “Who says I can’t go to college? College shall come to me!!” So funny that they sent the wrong book. I don’t know why but colleges having this way of messing things up. Tips for things you should keep close to your desk: many many colored pens and highlighters, tons of post-its, a functional (and not crazy) printer, candles, snacks, a very comfortable chair that doesn’t hurt your back and a little blanket for your knees, if you get cold 😊 I’ve been at a desk for years lol I’m kind of a desk pro. Anyway, this is getting way too long. So sorry. Love your selfie and it’s 3.18 pm here, London time. Is Ireland the same time zone? Lots of love and hugs 🤗

I’d don’t know what I’d do if their was no such thing as a home study option, probably slowly go crazy with nothing to do 😂 Yeah you’d think they’d be more professional seeing as when I think of what they were supposed to send me it wasn’t that much as it’s the first few assignments to start off 😂 thank you for the amazing tips! I definitely need to get some highlighters, I thought I could find the few I packed away earlier this year but might aswell treat myself to new ones 😂 I think I might get a new chair as my one is like a brick 😂 yes it’s the same time here! 😄 Hope you’re well and having a lovely day 💗
