Health Update + New blog header design!

Hi everyone! I hope you’re having a lovely week so far! Here where I live in Ireland summer is a distant memory and the breeze is attacking a wind chime we have hanging at the back of our garden making us think we live in a horror movie as the bells are all we can hear in the dead of night πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚ Recently I have been having a horrible flare-up which came on the other night with a migraine. It felt like my head was pinching in closed on itself and it traveled to the rest of my body making the left side all numb and giving me a nauseous feeling. When it became unbearable and stung to even rest my head against my pillow my mum came and sat with me and that admitted how bad it was because I usually wouldn’t want to wake her up whilst she is sleeping but I was scared. Since that night I have been left with a burning head and am finding it difficult to see through my left eye and get to sleep at night. I have been resting and was cheered up by the arrival of my course textbook (finally! πŸ˜‚ I can now start working as soon as this pain eases off! I wish I could start right now whilst I’m in the mood to study πŸ˜‚ does anyone else feel intrigued by a new textbook and only realize what they’ve gotten themselves into later on when the words turn to jibberish? πŸ˜‚). I have also felt giddy with excitement about the decision that I have come to in a new header design for my blog that I made earlier last week! πŸ˜„ I designed a couple of logos and after going through them I decided on this one!

….what do you think? πŸ™ˆ It makes me smile whenever I look at it πŸ˜† when I was making it I was unsure about the words so I have a design without them in it too just in case I want to swap in-between the two now and then πŸ˜‚:

Im now using the one without the writing as the top image on my Twitter page because I want everything to look cleaner (compared to the two separate designs that were up beforehand; one logo on website and a different one on Twitter, I am relieved to now have a universal one! πŸ˜‚). I changed it all over today and it feels like a breath of fresh air has made it all look new (I felt like my old logo wasn’t very appealing anymore and didn’t really give out a good message of up keep because it had been up there…a while πŸ™ˆπŸ˜‚).

I am working on adding a few extra touches (that word doesn’t look right πŸ˜‚) to my blog at the moment which I won’t tell you yet as they may not go to plan but I can’t wait for it all to hopefully come together! πŸ˜„ At the moment I am still happy with my blogs theme as I feel like it has everything it needs for now but little bits and pieces will be upgraded (why do I think of Cybermen when I hear the word upgrade? πŸ™ˆπŸ€–πŸ˜‚). I don’t feel ready to go self hosted on here as I still have a lot of space available and am happy with how things are at the moment (so that is not what I will be upgrading πŸ˜‚) but recently I have been looking at the pro’s and cons for the future as I hope to make the move one day but for now this is a small change I am glad to be sharing with you πŸ˜†

Thank you for reading! πŸ˜‰πŸ’— What have you been up to recently? Have an amazing day!

  1. They look great! Good luck with your new course as well, so exciting! Migraines are horrific, I hope it eases as quickly as possible for you. I dread the oncoming of one, and live in terror of them especially when I start getting potential warning signs. Does anything work for you in terms of stopping or easing them at all? xxx

    1. Thank you so much!! I can’t wait to start the course πŸ˜† they are excruciating πŸ™ I’m sorry to hear you suffer with them too πŸ’— nothing helps for me I’ve just been told to let them happen and slowly learnt to live with them as well as my symptoms as medicine doesn’t take away the worst ones. I hope with a diagnosis proper medication will come too πŸ’—

      1. My GP (and A&E doctors in some bad times!) advised 3 aspirin as soon as warning signs start and that usually helps mine stop if it hasn’t kicked in yet, but nothing helps once the headache starts πŸ˜”

      2. Yeah it’s like there’s nothing stopping it once it’s gotten to extremes and resting is the best medicine. I hate it when medication doesn’t work because it’s not like its easy for us to make ourselves take it as it’s like our bodies should know how to fight the pain alone. I’m here if you ever need to chat πŸ’—xx

      3. I know, and there’s pain then there’s migraine pain!! Most people I know think it’s just a bad headache and it’s impossible to explain how much more it is!! Thank you, you too! Be gentle on yourself until it’s completely gone xxx
