If I can’t get it out of my head

How will I ever

Achieve my goals

Most days I’m confined to my bed.

How will I ever

Make dreams come true

When I can hardly move?

When I least expect

It makes me regret

Hard work I put in it.

It is then

I do not feel strong

For hope is all I have

And when it is gone

I can’t get it out of my head.

Hi everyone! How are you today? when I started writing this I felt my words were controlled and linked in some way whilst questioning and then near the end as i started thinking how self doubt makes me feel, the poem lost its questions as I think the feeling of self doubt itself is unquestionable and unrelenting until it is ready to let light in. I started out asking “if I can’t get it out of my head?” and spiralled down to it taking place…..all the way through I couldn’t stop Kylie Minogues song going through my mind 🙈😂 kind of ruins the mood I’m trying to set! 😂

  4. Another great piece. Self doubt definitely plagues everyone, we’re fine then all of a sudden, these thoughts come out of nowhere and make us question ourselves. Also, thanks for getting Kylie Minogue stuck in my head 😛 😂
