This or That – Book Edition πŸ“šπŸ«ΆπŸ½

Hi everyone! How is your day going? πŸ’— I’m just getting over a stomach bug that had a hold on me for a week and I still feel nauseous so today’s post is going to be a quick bite! 🫩 I couldn’t not post something, it’s just not in me to leave you guys hanging 🫑. I went through my drafts and found a this or that bookish edition and with how I plan on doing it, it will be nice and fun, I’d love for you to get involved too!

I’m going to share a template I found on Pinterest made by @misshanamisbookdreams and as long as you credit them, feel free to share your own version of this post either on your blog or as an Instagram story! (I’m doing both – you can find me on Instagram HERE!).

As you can see, this is a “what kind of a reader are you?” template and I can’t wait to share my answers with you below!

One book at a time OR Multiple books

I am kind of both! I have started multiple books but I’m really trying to focus on one at a time….okay that doesn’t make sense but I’m figuring it out! πŸ˜…πŸ€£

Bookmarks OR Whatever you can find

It’s got to be bookmarks for me! If I run out depending on how many multiple books I’ve started then I fold paper and make a bookmark. I’m not one for using other random objects!

Coffee OR Tea

As a Brit I should say tea and as a person who has chronic migraines I shouldn’t say coffee but I am obsessed with a good decaff caramel cappuccino! 🀀

Bookstore OR Buy online

You can’t beat the in-person experience of a bookstore for a good look around as you can find things you weren’t expecting but I do tend to buy online as it’s just cheaper. In saying that tho, the majority of the books I’m reading are from the library. Also, at the library I tend to find most books randomly and I only reserve series I’m reading.

Classics (sure, sometimes!) OR Classics (not really)

I have moments where I want to read classics which recently led me towards listening to audiobooks of Pride & Prejudice + The Picture of Dorian Gray (which a blogging friend recommended to me) and although in P&P I got confused with who was talking and who was who, I quite liked them! A lot of my reading rut is down to not being able to compute what’s on a page infront of me (I end up having to repeat lines so many times!) which is why with classics I opted for audiobooks. So long story short: sure, sometimes! 🀣

Read outside OR Read inside

Both! (This tag hates me πŸ˜‚). I love sitting outside and reading when the sun is out and last year I’d sit in our greenhouse on wet and windy days which was fun! The cats kept me company 😴. I read a lot before I go to bed and sometimes in the afternoon depending on what else I’ve got going on.

Hardcover OR Paperback

Paperback as its just easier to hold I think. There has been more than one occasion when I’m laying in bed and the hardback book I’m holding falls on my face 🫠😰🀣.

Quick reader OR Slow reader

I used to read books as fast as a bullet but now I’m super slow which frustrates me. It’s not that I wish to rush books it’s just how I can be repetitive, I wanna get better and build up my brain to handle reading again but my meds aren’t on my side and I don’t wan’t to alter them as they help for other reasons. You just can’t win sometimes! 😀

Underline OR Don’t you dare write in that book

Don’t you dare write in that book but at the same time: you do you boo 😘🀣. Ever since I was little when I was told it might be fun to colour in a book I ended up hating myself for it, I wish I could annotate but I fear it’s not a part of my makeup to do so.

Ebook OR Book

Book at the moment. I do have a kindle but I’m trying my best to get through library books right now!

Funkos? (Give me more) OR Funkos? (Don’t like them)

Give me more! I have a huge collection of BTS funko pops, Coraline funko pops and one of that guy from Disney Pixar Soul! They’re all still in their boxes but are on show in my room. I just know I’d regret it if they were unboxed πŸ˜…πŸ€£.

And thats me! Do we share any answers or are we complete opposites? Let me know in the comments below and feel free to do this tag too!

I had so much fun, I’m very much up and down with my reading rut. I’ll take a step out and then fall back in but I keep trying because I do love reading πŸ“š.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed finding out about my reading style! πŸ€ͺ Have a great weekend/week, until we meet again, take care, stay safe and buh-bye πŸ˜‰βœ¨οΈπŸ’—.
