Happy new year! 🥳 (I thought that was more important than saying hello but hello too! 🤣). Before we get into this, I hope 2026 becomes a beautiful year for you. Hardships will happen, that’s life, but I wish that you have loads of magical moments and that theres the potential for even your wildest dreams to come true which leads me up to today’s post: how to make that happen! ✨️ Wanna know how I achieved many of my goals in 2025 with my first ever proper vision board? I hope you want to as I just admitted to still being a newbie 😅. Stay, I swear I have valid tips 🙏🤣
Lets get to the good stuff! Wanna know how to make your vision board work? Ready to have 2026 be your best year so far? Then read on because I’ve got what will make these simple wishes bring forth powerful results 🙌 Lets do this!
A bit of background, for 2026 I have a long term vision board and a short term vision board as that is what my journal (The Head Plan which you can read my review on HERE) asks of me. Now, we shall carry on…
Add images to your board that speak to you, not just things that look like what you want
It’s very easy to get carried away and add something to your vision board just because it depicts what you would like to happen but it will be way more on point if an image is something you can’t go against or stop thinking about (on a small or large scale). So don’t settle for the first photo you see, go deeper and find a picture that grabs you and makes you yearn for your dream to come true.
Take into account the smaller steps towards your big goals
This means actually put them on your daily to do list and maybe even including pictures – of what you’ll have to do to get to where you want to be – on your vision board. So for example, if you want to take up swimming but you won’t be able to see without your glasses then put a pic of those prescription goggles you can get! (What an example 🤣). Really tho, how do people swim without their glasses? I only went to one lesson and I couldn’t see a damn thing! On my board for 2026 I have included some inspiration photos of the steps it will take to get where I want to be and I think it’s good to have that backup instead of just expecting for the big deal to occur, no matter what the goal it helps to be a tad realistic of what it will take to get there.
A less crowded vision board is a more focused vision board
I believe if you get to a point where you think: what else should I add to my board? Then you’re done as you would have originally included the photos you really wanted to begin with. When I see a “busy” vision board it makes me a tad anxious, everyone’s different but keeping more minimal is the way to go as those choices will be your faithful options (even if they are overly optimistic, a person’s gotta dream! 🙌🤣).
Journal, journal & journal some more!
Document your day to day, even if its in little bits or in the form of written to-do lists which I find to be more effective as you’re physically putting it out there into the universe. 2025 was the year I walked into my journaling era and it’s still going strong but I could do better which is actually one of my personal goals! Journaling is super beneficial and so rewarding, I truly believe it can go hand in hand with your vision board and make it work that bit more. This occurs through how when you’re doing a very down to earth activity, you’re connecting with your genuine self and that attaches to your inner ambitions that you share with your vision board so the two are even more formidable and strong together 🤝.
You don’t need a guided journal, you can just use a notebook, both come with their own benefits. You can either pilot yourself or have the added help of being mentored in a kind of way. If you are at a loss for what to write then I would recommend Pinterest for journal prompts or even just write a daily thing you are grateful for, a to-do list that involves the smaller steps on your journey like I mentioned above and perhaps even a habit tracker for those personal goals that involve effort built up over time.
If your board is digital like mine, then print it out!
I did this to stick them into my journal! Last year I also printed out extras to stick on my bedroom walls (one of the long term board and another of the short), it felt bittersweet taking them down the other day 🫶🏽. It’s common knowledge that seeing your vision board(s) strengthens it and there is also the nice feeling of not seeing your board for a long time and then looking at it to realise you’ve accomplished something 🥹 but thats for further down the line! Whatever feels right for you, do it! I like to set my long term vision board as my screensaver on my tablet and laptop but not on my phone as for some reason I don’t wanna see it there, just occasionally through those other pieces of tech. Maybe I don’t want to force it or I’ll jinx it or something but yeah, that’s me! Constant-thinks-shes-gonna-jinx-the-good-things gal at your service! 👋🤣
Like this post? Then you’re gonna LOVE The Cosy Corner where I upload audios that will start your year off on a calming foot ✨️ Over there I share how to make 2026 YOUR year and also something I do every night that motivates and drives me forward 🤭 a whole other side to putting yourself in a better place that can go hand in hand to with your vision board to boost your potential ⭐️. The Cosy Corner is €2.99 a month and unlocks the door to a wide variety of exclusive content, I’d love if you could check it out and in turn gain a sense of calm that carries you forward into the new year.
I hope you found this post helpful in some way! I really enjoyed writing it and hopped my positivity for 2026 isn’t unfounded because I feel really motivated for it 😆🤣. I didn’t stay up to see the new year in as I was too tired (can’t fight routine!) and then I woke up on the 1st of January with a migraine but I am determined to make this year amazing when it comes to what I can control. 2025 was good for me, it had some upsetting moments but I feel like if I’m realistic about it then I can see a year however I want to see it so good vibes guys 😅.
Like I said at the very beginning, I wish the best for you this year and I hope that your vision board plays a part as that displays what you want/need and that is important. Remember to be kind, not only to others but to yourself as well. It’s easy to put yourself down when things don’t go your way or feel low regardless but know what is principle: yours and your loved ones health, safety and treating yourself and others with respect and understanding. What I’m trying to say is never aim to leave yourself out of the equation. You can’t help others if you don’t fill your own cup up first.
I’ve gotta go but for 2026 as a whole, you’ve got this! 🌟 I believe in you 🥰💖. Be sure to leave your own vision board tips in the comments, I’d love to hear them as I’m still a newbie. Lets manifest all good things guys! I’m cheering yoj on from afar, take care, stay safe and buh-bye ✨️💗.
