A strong and powerful love 🫶🏽

Hi everyone! How are you doing? 💗 I haven’t answered a prompt in a very long time so I thought we are well overdue for this! 🤣 I picked one that I knew would allow me to write from the heart…

What is good about having a pet?

Well, where do I start? Pets are life or at least thats what I believe. Seeing my little baby doggy Nina getting excited to see me in the morning (Bella not so much, she plays it cool! 🙄😂) is what makes me get out of bed to begin with!

I have an overwhelming love for dogs but I do adore my cats too. Sadly my cat Coco is still missing 💔 but we haven’t given up hope that she will one day return, until then we have our two black cats, Sim and her son Prince. Sim was a stray that one day decided to carry each of her kittens, one at a time, into a bed in our greenhouse and shes been with us ever since. Prince is her only remaining child and he’s a real flirt! Constantly flinging himself at you once he’s on your lap to get comfortable 🤣. Sim still has a stray-persona and is a tad shy but shes gotten to be quite confident as of late.

As I mentioned before, Nina is my baby 🐕 shes a real cutie. Bella is a misunderstood doggy as she can be standoffish at times but then all of a sudden she’ll give you all this love (she has a sad past so her unsure tendencies make sense tho). That’s all dogs really want isn’t it? Love 💗.

After losing our boy Toby back in January which is still hard to think about, we have been asked are we getting another dog as that’s what we have done in the past but with Toby that hasn’t been so easy as he’s irreplaceable. Nina and Bella as well as the cats recieve our love and for now, that is enough. I do believe that if you have the time, energy and love (and perhaps money as they can be expensive with vets trips and grooming!) to give then you should adopt a pet tho so I’ll never say never.

To answer today’s prompt, I think the best thing about having a pet is to see their joy, to have their company and to feel excited to see and be around them. Theres loads more reasons because theres so much depth and daily doings that goes along with having a pet. They’re so worth it and they really make a home a HOME ✨️.

So you have any pets? I’d love to know! Especially their names and the stories behind them. Bella came with her name but I named Nina after the ABBA song (Nina, Pretty Ballerina). Sim was named after Simba by my sis, I think my dad named Coco and I’m 0rerty sure I named Prince 🤔. Names are cool things aren’t they!?
