I used The Head Plan Journal for 6 months – Did it work? 🤔

Hi everyone! Welcome to a post where I let you in on something I’ve been incorporating into my life for the past six months! 🤯 (This is not an ad BTW!). If you’re an OG then you may or may not remember me writing about receiving The Head Plan journal for Christmas after wishing for it (I’d come across it when googling journals and thought it sounded impactful!). In that post I was reclaiming my year by starting to journal as my dog, Toby, had passed away at the beginning of January. Well, it was a six month journal which brought us up to the end of June 2025 and I’m  here today to tell you my thoughts on it but first of all, what does a Head Plan journal involve?

The Head Plan journal is a tool to keep you feeling inspired and motivated. It incorporates vision boards and helps you to implement habits into your day to day life. The daily pages feature a to do list and sections for gratitude as well as boxes to fill in your daily highlights. I was especially intrigued by the idea of setting long term & short term goals + creating vision boards and with the help of The Head Plan I got to do just that!

I had tried to create a vision board before but that was more of testing stage where I went a bit too wild and yeah, its good to be a bit delulu but I wasn’t realistic. This time I was encouraged to really sit and think about what it is that I want and how I can possibly work towards that and luckily The Head Plan journal pushes you in the right direction of putting towards your goals and taking steps each day with your to-do lists to make these things happen.

I’ve put stuff on my Head Plan long-term & short-term vision boards and semi-forgotten about them and then my life has done a 180 and I’ve ended up doing these things. Maybe not in the exact way I had initially planned but no joke, I swear things are coming true on my board! 😮 PS, I’ve got some very exciting news coming up that relates to something that was on my vision boards 👀. I’ve been working really hard on it and I can’t wait to share it with you! 😄💗

I think I only missed 1 or 2 days writing in my Head Plan to-do lists (as I love a good list 🤣) but I’ll admit, I didn’t commit to always filling in my weekly reflection or weekly goals pages. Regardless, I found The Head Plan Journal to be highly beneficial. It keeps me on track and when I’m home I keep it by me and I even took it with me on my London trip as I didn’t think I could be without it! It also has 3 bookmarks, yes THREE! I can save more than one page to go back to guys 🥹😂.

My new baby 🤣

I have purchased a new Head Plan journal for the next 6 months, this time I went with a rose pink colour but the first time I was a bit wild and wished for the animal print one 🤣. They recently brought out a Butter Yellow colour and I’m obsessed. I might wish for it for my birthday in preparation for next year! 🙏🏽

So yeah, I genuinely feel like The Head Plan journal has worked for me and I would recommend it if you want something that really helps with achieving goals! Of course you’ve got to be willing to put in the work as well, the universe will meet you halfway ✨️ thats what I believe anyway! 🫣

I’ve gotta go now but I hope you enjoyed this review and maybe it even inspired you to create a vision board or something. I would do a post about vision boarding but I’m no expert….or maybe The Head Plan has helped me to become one as it’s WORKING?? 🤔 I’m so confused 🤣. If you want me to share how I created my vision board (hint: it was on my laptop 😉🤣) then let me know!

I’ll see you again next week but until then I hope you’re having a wonderful Summer/start to your July 😊. May good things come your way, stay safe, take care and buh-bye! 💗

  1. I’m glad this planner has been helpful to you. I’ve been using the same bookish planner since 2019 I believe. Mine is mostly to keep track of my reading but I also do daily planning as well that is non bookish. I like for my pages to be premade because I’m not artistic at all. I will most likely be using a different planner for 2026.

    1. Thanks! That’s so cool you’ve got a collection of them by now, thats my dream for these journals! Premade journals are the best, I used to be really artsy with a bullet journal and now I dont know how I did it. Have seen some cool premade journals with full on drawn out spreads 😍

      1. Yeah the one I’ve been using is the Always Fully Booked planner from Little Inklings Designs. They are pricy but so worth it in my opinion. For 2026 I plan on trying the one from The Paper Warbler.

  2. I’m glad it was helpful and that you saw results- I’ve had a planner each year for the last few years and it honestly does push you in the right direction. Instead of just focusing on the end goal (as with vision boards) this helps you focus on daily goals that will get you to your end goal which is way more realistic. And I can so relate because I will literally forget most of the stuff I need to do in a day unless I write it down lol!
