Massive Amazon Snack Haul! 🤤 Food from around the world! 😋🤮

Hi everyone! Ready for a judgemental post? No? Well you’re getting one anyway! 🤣 This one’s gonna be a haul full of food that’s good and bad and I’m not afraid to tell it as it is so get ready!

A month or so ago, Amazon opened up shop in Ireland so now we can order food (the UK website wouldn’t let us) so I of course jumped on the bandwagon and got a whole host of treats because the prices were so good and I was super intrigued to try out some new flavours! This post has been a while in the making just so that I could try a little bit of everything and let you know what I think about it all (meaning i tried these on different days so the order is random but kinda told like its just happened), I really hope you enjoy this post.

A lil disclaimer, I’m not putting out this post to brag, I created it because I want to write about something fun that’s happened and share a little excitement for trying new things because I think thats very important in life. I’m not saying you have to spend to do so, this is just one of those times that I got a bit too excited but hey, you only live once! ✨️🤣

Some of them are extremely bad so be warned, I tried them so that you don’t have to. Here they are:

I feel like I’m getting to try food from all over the world with this haul, it’s very exciting!! 🥳 Let’s jump right on in!!

We’ll start off on a high, a sugar rush kinda high with Twinkies! They were bigger than I thought they’d be. Very sweet, nice flavour. Kind of tasted like I expected them to: a sweet cupcake. I wouldn’t buy them again but the rest of the box will be shared out and enjoyed! (Update: they’re still in our cupboard but I’m sure they will get eaten!). 7 out of ten from me.

Next I grabbed the Khao Shong nuts chili and lime green peas. Straight off the bat they’re way too limey! I’d give them a 2 out of 10. They’re not horrible, just not tastey either 🤣. I decided I’d put them on the table on fathers day so that everyone would have to try them and they wouldnt go to waste! 😁😂

Moving on we have the Big roll grilled seaweed roll. This has to be my fav thing in this review! They taste so flavourful and I’m always tempted to grab one!! (…Okay calm down with the exclamation points now 🤣). I’ve since realised that it’s salty so of course it’s gonna be good but I love it regardless. I’d rate it an 8 out of 10. I will buy these again!

The Korean Street Hongdae red chilli topokki duo kit said it contains lead on the back so I was a bit dubious about eating it. I went for it and added beef and spring onions. It’s two servings so I cooked the lot and was going to save some for the next day. Upon first impression, it smelled so good!! I’ve made tteokbokki before but this was different. In the end it wasn’t rich enough tho. I tried to have it with a bag of mixed vegetables but it just wasn’t worth it in the end. It felt too risky with the warning and it didn’t taste nice which I wasn’t expecting at all! This gets 0 out of 10 as it was an unsuccessful meal.

I couldnt wait to try the potato noodles which were advertised as being chewy and they were! (Noticeably different from other noodles). They tasted like chicken noodles. The green onions included were nice and crunchy too. I Really enjoyed this! Very wholesome. I’d give it a 7 or an 8 out of 10. I don’t know if I’d buy it again tho as aside from the chewiness (is that a word?) they weren’t magnificent.

Now, are you ready for an opinion thats probably controversial? Big la tiao hot & spicy is all I’m gonna say….before i carry on 🤣. This was a risk as I’m not the best with spice 😅. Let’s dive in….first of all, it stank!! I just went for it and grabbed one and so did my mum (she said hell, why not? 🤣). I quickly googled it as I was chickening out and it’s just strips of gluten so I was like: alright, that seems fine and I took a bite. At first I though it was not the absolute worst flavour and then it properly set in and i thought: okay it is! It made me feel a bit pukey. And like I mentioned above it stank to high heaven so I didn’t even finish one strip. I’ll give it a 0 out of 10 and I was gonna be kind and give it 1 but it doesnt deserve it. My mum changed her mind and didn’t want to try it, alongside everyone else in the house so this was an epic fail! What I wanna know is this: Is this even for human consumption?? Mouthwash got rid of it in the end after trying various things and I had to gargle 🤣.

We must move on, in hope of making this post more positive! Who comes to the rescue? Tao Kaw Noi crispy seaweed of course! It says its got nutrients from the sea and is Tom Yum Goong flavour. I didn’t realise these were the same brand as the big rolls up above. At first they were nothing to write home about (but I’ll blog it of course 🤣). A little spicy kick and a flavour that made me cautious about speaking to people in fear that they’d smell my breath but then I finished them and I changed my mind, they’re actually nice! And I like the flavour, it’s unlike anything I’ve tried before. I’d have them again (and I have to because I got a pack of them 😂). 6 out of 10, which sounds low but I’m just being honest!

The next product was German! Bifi Currywurst to be exact.  They are little bread pockets that smell of tomato soup and I was drawn to my first one like a bee to honey even tho tomatoes give me migraines so maybe more like a fly to those sticky strip things that trap them 🤣. Anyways, I love it, it has salami in it and a sweet tomato sauce. I don’t know if I’d buy it again as I’ve still got a fair few to get through but I’d like to try their other flavours! These are a 9 out of 10. I would give them a ten but you kinda have to be in the mood for them and the sauce takes you aback a bit. Regardless, they are a great snack to bring along when you have a day out of the house!

I am yet to open the box of peanut mochi but I’ve had similar ones before which is why I bought them so I’m sure I’ll enjoy them too!

These nori packs was actually the first snack I tried in this haul and I ate it with rice for part of my dinner. Like the other seaweed snacks they are meant to have minerals. I enjoy my fair share of nori and heard it’s a healthy snack (which makes me feel better about everything else 😌🤣). It’s not my favourite taste but it’s nice so I’ll stick with it. You get a lot of packs so I’ll be good for a few months I’d say! I’d give them a 6 out of 10.

Next up is Kaiserpalast shrimp crackers, I hadn’t know they’d be the type you get at a Chinese restaurant but we’re here now so they’ve got to be worth it 🤣. Okay so I devoured these in two sittings. It would have been one but I was trying to hold back! They’re very tasty, even better than some you’d get at a restaurant. They do leave a funny taste in your mouth afterwards tho. I’d give them 8 out of 10 and I would buy them again!

And there we have it! I don’t even want to think about the gluten strips!! 🤢 If you’re looking for a laugh, buy them but I strongly suggest you look the other way as they’re horrid (I probably should have said that above but now they’re back on my mind! 🤣).

Something I’d like to mention is that I swear I eat healthily, this is just a spaced out event and a treat (you gotta live a little!).

So, have you tried any of the foodstuffs on this list? Do you like it or hate it (there is an in-between I’ll grant you access to 🤣). Let me know in the comments below! I’ve gotta go now but I hope you enjoyed this post and got a laugh out of me trying things that were weird and wonderful! I’ll see you again next week, take care, stay safe and buh-bye ✨️💗.

  1. I’ve only tried Twinkies and I’m not a fan of them. You are braver than I am trying all of these. I’m up for trying knew things but I’m not going to spend my own money on something I’m not sure I’ll like. 😂

  2. Oh my! What an experience! I’m glad you were able to find some things enjoyable. The only thing on your list I can say I’ve tried are the twinkies, but I don’t think I could eat them as an adult, very sweet!

  3. Noooo I had high hopes for the latiao, I keep seeing it online and it always looks so good 😭

Try the Nori packs with ramen, that’s how I usually eat them and it really enhances the flavour 😋
