Hi everyone! How are you doing? π Last week I shared the two guided journals I started using with you so today I thought it would only be right that I show you my reading journal as well! π I recieved it for Christmas from my parents after wishing for it and I’m in love I tell you! π₯°π€£ Last year I used a bookmark that let me write the names of the books I’d read on the spines of books on shelves to keep track of what I’d read so I feel like a whole journal is a step up! It’s from Amazon and I’ll link it here but this isn’t an ad! I just want to share something I’m excited about using π.

The cover is a soft texture and “reading journal” is embossed on the front, it was available in either grey or beige and it was a tight call but I decided beige called to me π. It has two material bookmarks and a page to introduce yourself, asking what level your reading obsession is, this book might just have to explode with my answer and that will have to be okay, at least I’ll have documented it here first π€£.

Throughout the book there are quotes but the very first one is this by George R.R. Martin:
A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies. The man who never reads only lives one.
Then there’s an index, a daily reading tracker, two really cool reading challenge pages featuring pictures of bookcases to fill in which I’ll admit was what drew me towards this book in the first place π€£ altho I did think that this page was to list all of the books you read throughout the year and not just a section of them but I still like it!

Next up there’s a reading wish list, a books lent out and a books borrowed page and then on to my favourite bit, the books finished section that features more book spines to write down the titles π alongside lined pages.

Moving on, there is a place for favourite books, favourite authors (giving the ability to take note of the books by them that you’ve read and what you want to read), favourite quotes and then the majority of the books pages are taken over by review sections to share your thoughts!

At the very end of the reading journal is a bookish bucket list full of inspirational ideas on what to do to have some fun with your reading journey and then the very last few pages are like a bullet journal for anything that your heart desires!
If you would like to see a quick visual of this journal, head on over to my Instagram here where I’ve posted a video:
Here’s another quote by Stephen King to send you off:
Books are a uniquely portable magic β¨οΈ
Do you have a reading journal? If so, would you recommend it and if not, how do you keep track of the books you read? Let me know in the comments below π
I’ve gotta go now but I really hope you enjoyed this glimpse into something that I’ve been loving lately! βΊοΈ You’ll find me scribbling away whenever the need takes me β¨οΈ I will see you again next week but until then, I hope you have a lovely day/night depending on when you’re reading this! Take care, buh-bye π
