Hi everyone! Welcome to my lil corner of the internet ✨️ I hope this post finds you well 💗. Today I’m going to be sharing a tag and I’m very excited about it! It seems like a fun one. I was tagged by Misty to do the 2024 edition of the reading firsts book tag (Thank you Misty! 🤗) which was created by girlxoxo. I share my reading journey over on Instagram here so that and my book tracker bookmark will help me answer these questions! 😄 Let’s jump right in!
First Book Read In 2024
The first book I read in 2024 was Meet Me in Mumbai by Sabina Khan! Well that’s the first book I finished anyway, I read a number of books at once so I could have started out the year within something else but we’ll go with what I finished! 😅🤣
First Review of 2024
This was Meet Me in Mumbai again! Here’s the review on insta!
First Debut Read in 2024
Okay so I think this means what book was an authors first so for me that was The Girl With No Soul by Morgan Owen! I vaguely remember the story but I recall enjoying it. And also, through just checking if this was a debut I saw that Morgan Owen is releasing another book in May so I’m very excited about that!! 🙌😄
First “New to Me” Author of 2024
I read a book called how to be present at the beginning of the year but I don’t think that counts so we’ll go with The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee which was a wild ride! I’m looking forward to reserving the next books in the library 😍.
First Book of 2024 That Slayed Me
A book that slayed me (in a good way….if that’s at all possible) was Tag, You’re Dead by Kathryn Foxfield! It was fantastic and had twists and turns at every corner 🤯 I absolutely adored it.
First Book of 2024 That I wish I Could Get Back the Time I Spent Reading It
This might be controversial but for me it’s Carrie Soto Is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reed 🙈. I really couldn’t get into it for some reason and it ended up being the first book of the year that I didn’t finish. I’m not proud of that as I’d heard so many good things about it but it just wasn’t for me and thats okay 👌.
First 5 Star Book of 2024
Ahhh I didn’t rate any of the books I read and I wish I had right now 🙄🤣. But if we’re playing favourites then I’ve got to go with Tag, You’re Dead. It’s very close with Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson (which I’ve been recommending left right and centre) but I was all in for Tag, You’re Dead and I’m only just realising that now 😆.
I’m tagging:
And anyone else who would like to do the tag! Consider yourself nominated! 💗
And there we have it! Thank you for checking out this post and again, a huge thank you to Misty for tagging me, this was so much fun to do and reminisce about what I’ve read so far!
If you’re on the lookout for more things bookish then head on over to my Instagram account, I’m taking it in a new direction as of late with more of a background to the pics than just the blanket on my bed 😂 so I’d love if you could check out my posts!
So the time has come to say farewell! 👋 I’ll miss your company! Until next Friday rolls around (you know it arrives so fast!) I hope you stay safe, take care and it’s buh-bye from me! Ciao! ✨️💗xx
Thank you for tagging me, I can’t wait to do this! I feel like it’s been so long since I’ve done a book tag, so thank you!!
I read the The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue trilogy and thought it was highly entertaining!

I loved reading your answers for this. I haven’t read any of the books you mentioned in this post except for Sorcery of Thorns. I reread that one last year and loved it just as much the second time around.

Thank you for the tag! Omg if I owned a copy of Sorcery of Thorns and hadn’t borrowed it from the library I would be re-reading the hell out of it. Such a good book! 🙌✨️
