Trying games that are trending in the app store! 🧩☠️🀄

Hello everyone! 🌊 How are you doing? 💛 I hope you’re having a good day so far and that if you’re having a tough time of it then this post serves as a bit of a distraction! ✨ That’s mostly why I download apps in the first place: as a form of escape from chronic pain other than my blog….that and to see what all the fuss is about with trends too! 🤣 I always hear about apps that are trending and wonder if they’re as amazing as people make them out to be so I decided it was time to check out a good lot of them to judge for myself! 👏 Prepare to see stars because I’m in the mood to rate stuff too! 😁⭐ I’m ready if you are, let’s talk about what’s trending at the moment:

Wordle – ⭐⭐⭐

Are you a word games master? Whether you are a fan of classic crossword puzzles or are just hopping on viral new word game trends, Wordle will get you thinking. Take on daily brain teasers and train your mind with our fun word games.

With several unique game modes, Wordle! will challenge your mind and spelling skills. Want a fun and viral challenge? Try Daily Puzzle mode, where you’ll have 6 guesses to solve the word of the day. Each time you get a letter correct, the tile will turn yellow if it is in the word or green if it is in the right spot. Can you solve it with one guess?

I downloaded the wrong Wordle at first so we were off to a great start with things! 🤣 It confused me as to why there are multiple games with that name but then I found the right one. Word on the street is that it’s a good game for training your brain and I’ve seen people wanting to beat their personal best 🧠 (the brain makes for a horrible emoji 😬…that’s not also word on the street, thats just my opinion 🤣). Okay so the aim of Wordle is to guess a word in each round! You’re given six goes to figure it out and with each attempt it’ll highlight the letters you got right (and if they should either stay where they are or be moved so as to find their true place 🥲). It’s basically like hangman but with rows and no man! 🤔

To begin with I had no idea what to do but then it started to make sense and I noticed something HIGHLY annoying: It kept making my phone buzz whenever I did anything at all! 😤 It’s not the worst thing when a games got something going for it and I’m sure I could probably find a way to switch it off in the settings but it does take away from what’s going on a bit 😅. All in all I give Wordle three stars because it’s kind of addictive, I got lost in thought trying to think of different words to test out so I might enjoy it more one day but if I needed extra space on my phone I would easily delete it 🤣. Moving forward…

The Baby In Yellow was up on the top trending list but I’ve watched people play that so I’d know what to do and that’d be cheating….also, I’m scared as hell to try it out so thats a great reason to leave it well alone! 🙌🤣

Text or Die – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Texting trivia word game! Type the longest word and save yourself from sharks!

The longest answer wins! Answer each question with the longest answer you can think of to build your tower and escape the rising waters! Text or Die is a typing game with a twist: you need to outlast your opponents and avoid getting eaten!

The name of this game is so funny! 🤣 Okay so there is a LOT to say about this one. First of all I was a bit weirded out by how the game knew what I look like without me even needing to put in skin tone/hair colour but then I guess it was probably a coincidence 😅 (it’s like tell me you hacked my phone without telling me you hacked my phone territory 🙌😂). Then on my first try I was so fearful of getting closer to the water, I made sooo many spelling mistakes it led to my downfall 🦈. They asked for a planet and I said Nars instead of Mars 🙄🤦🤣…but then, I kid you not I made it to the end and won the next time I tried!!

This game does the buzzing thing too so I feel kind of bad for judging Wordle now 😬🤣. Oh well! I really enjoyed myself playing this game and it does have some faults like asking if I’d like to level up but not giving me the option to click on yes (maybe it will at a later date?) but that’s nothing that ruins it when the game itself is so much fun! I’ll for sure be keeping this one 🙌.

Zen Match – ⭐⭐⭐

Challenge yourself with this addictive Mahjong-inspired game where your goal is to match 3 tiles and solve the puzzles. If you love Match 3 puzzles or mahjong, you will love the challenge and relaxing effect of Zen Match. Match tiles, decorate your own relaxing room and find your peace in Zen Match!

My sister and I used to play Mahjong a lot so this sort of brought memories of that back 💫 but with a twist that I’m not sure I was too keen on! In the beginning I thought it would be too simple and then it started to get fiddly because of the long bar filling up with tiles that I just wanted to unselect (is that a word?) and clear! I didn’t want to have to wait for three of a tile to be selected before they disappeared and weren’t mixed up with other designs. THEN, I realized that that’s the point! The bar fills up to somewhat pressure you into emptying it by matching three’s or else you’ll lose when it’s totally full 😓. I was basically dissing the entire concept of the game by wanting that side of things to stop 😅🤣.

I figured it out a short while into the game when the bar filled up and I lost! 😯 So the point of the game was to NOT make the bar fill up (it took me a damn while!). I guess that’s what makes it a mahjong-hybrid and not just the same old game 🤣. I’ve given it three stars and although that’s the same amount I gave Wordle, two very different moods are needed to play either one! I’ll probably play Zen Match more as it’s something you don’t really need to be in your head to play. It’s a nice thing to be distracted by but doesn’t take full attention like Wordle would and that’s an odd choice for me as I’d normally like a game to have my full attention. I suppose it’s made me realize that it’s sometimes calming to have your mind on other things whilst you’re playing a game too. It’s actually made me want to find a normal mahjong game which is a turn up for the books as it’s led me onto enjoying something else ✨😂.

Easy Game – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Test your brain and IQ with Easy Game and have tons of fun! Think outside the box to make your grey cells work. Challenge your mind with the tricky riddles – prove that you’re the smartest!

Gain a new experience with Easy game, that offer funny puzzles and unexpected solutions. Test your brain, creative thinking, logic, memory and imagination. Apply common sense and focus on the details. Don’t solve the brain teasers in the ordinary way, some riddles really trick your brain!

This was a free-flowing game but that’s not to say it was so easy that I didn’t have to think because that’d make it boring and it was actually far from it! ✨ I loved it so much the first time I played that when I worked my way up to a question that said how much “did” you enjoy this game and I chose 999% I was sad because I thought that meant I’d finished it 🤣 but I guess it wouldn’t be trending if it were that short a game! 😅

I appreciate that so far it’s not been repetitive and I like the brain teasers that have you trying to give a simple answer when it’s actually something entirely different. My least favourite games are the where’s waldo type images as they slow things down a bit and the answer isn’t so hidden, you’ve just got to find it and that’s that. Anyway, it’s mindless fun like any game really but I really enjoyed it!

Tall Man Run – ⭐⭐

Run tall, run wide!

Get as tall and wide as you can to take out bots and beat the level!

The shortest description ever award goes to this game right here 🏅🤣.

In this game you run forward, dodging barriers and picking up tokens in an effort to try make the man as tall as possible so that he’ll have a better chance of making it to the end. To be honest I thought there would be more to it but that’s not to say that it isn’t entertaining because it kind of is (what a compliment! 🤣). I like that it’s not subway surfer/temple run style in that you just swipe to move (even tho that’s fun, this is it’s own thing!), with Tall Man Run you have to full on drag the character to move forward, let alone sideways and you can make him stop so that is a plus for me (I like being able to fully stop the running incase I crash 😂 but that can still happen if he steps on a turbo-like switch which pulls you into the game in a fun way).

The rounds are very short so I’d love to know if that’s just the beginning of the game? Adverts go on for a long and I mean LONG time after each playthrough and sometimes I felt conned into watching them after pressing skip but yet again, like the buzzing in Wordle, that’s something that can be avoided by switching off data so it isn’t a big no no.

And thats that! These games were all so different and none of them were terrible 🏆 – that’s positive praise in my book ⭐🤣. Thanks for checking out this post! 😄 Think of it as a list of things to do when you’re bored because I’d recommend them all! My perception of these games may change over time but the only one I’m getting rid of for now is Tall Man Run. Some of the adverts that popped up for other games looked intriguing so I may be back with another one of these posts in the future! 🎮 Ps. It was super glitchy in the WordPress app for me to type this post out (it kept kicking me out of the draft when I was trying to add stuff into each block!) so I really hope it show’s up well and that’s the end of it 🙌🤣.

What is your favourite game from the play store/app store? Out of today’s list I like Text or Die the most but in general my favourite is Happy Color! 🎨

I hope you have a lovely weekend and I’ll see you again next time! 👋 Take care, stay safe and buh-bye! ✨🧡Xx

    1. Yeah Wordle isn’t one I’d seek out, I like the rewarding feeling of getting it right once I’m on there but it takes a while to get to the point of actually being on there 🤣. Ahh Zen Match would be lovely to play before bed! ✨
