Hello beautiful people! 💖 Welcome to my blog on this day that has me feeling all kinds of happy, I hope the feeling is contagious ✨☺️ (in a good way! 🤣). And why am I in such a good mood? Well I’ve teamed up with Poster Store yet again to showcase some of their amazing sustainable prints + frames that will have you daydreaming about where you’ll be placing your own new additions (it’s too tempting not to! 🤣). Now that we’re stepping into Spring (which feels so unbelievably good to both say and experience! I can almost feel it, see it, touch it – the season just needs to full on get here already! 😂💫) there’s no better time to celebrate what’s on offer with Poster Store! I decided that a great way to incorporate it into this time of refreshing change would be to not only show you the gorgeous abstract and nature posters I chose but to also give you something that you can take away from it too: Some tips for making Spring cleaning less of a daunting task AND there’s a lil surprise coming up so stay tuned for that as well! 💝
There is a seemingly endless and diverse range of prints to choose from on the Poster Store website (with a new collection of prints every Tuesday) in a variety of sizes to suit specific spaces as well as there being different coloured frames to pick from. This all goes hand in hand to make a space more special and unique! You can even see what your poster would look like in your choice of frame before checking out which is pretty cool! 🖼️ I got lost amidst a wide array of categories such as those depicting Mediterranean escapes, sandy beaches, quotes to brighten even the sunniest of days, the cutest nursery designs and even visions of being enrolled as a Hogwarts student to name but a few! 🪄 They arrive quickly, packaged safely and securely and are an instant hit. When I say it I mean it, there’s something for everyone at such fantastic prices and there’s nothing quite like welcoming Poster Store creations into your home and marveling over how they’ll totally transform your surroundings.
A lil disclaimer before we begin is that this post is an AD! I was gifted these products by Poster Store in return for an honest review and all opinions expressed today are my own.
Last year I created my first gallery wall with the help of Poster Store (which can be found in the collaboration: 5 reasons to surround yourself with art made easy with Poster Store!) and I’ll never forget how magical an experience it was to unleash ideas somewhere my entire family would pass by every day. It’s easy to not lose the memory because I see that area often and am reminded! ✨ The gallery wall felt like a nice project and it hardly took any time to put together back then. Now the pictures can simply be changed as we please! Without the prints that were welcomed in last year, that space would never have thrived as being more than just a place to pass through. I oftentimes catch myself stopping to stare at the beautifully framed pieces. I don’t just glance, I literally pause for a moment (sometimes even longer) just to easily feel a sense of the landscapes within those prints. It like they’re photos I’ve taken whilst on holiday in far away destinations. They’re more than just pictures of seemingly random places, they are reminiscent of the nostalgia hit you get from a song that’s new but magically feels like a childhood favourite.
I was eager to bring the wall forward into Spring and clean up in a whole other way because it’s like a mind-cleanse to see something new and highlight how we grow and move forward as a family. That brings us to the first “tip” should we say, of the post alongside the newly updated gallery wall!

Allow your perception to be altered as to what Spring cleaning is! It’s always important to question ourselves every once in a while so as to broaden our horizons and not become stuck in ways we didn’t even know were there! What is the first thing you think of when it comes to Spring cleaning? I envision maybe swapping over my Winter clothes for the warmer weather wardrobe I forget I have 🤣. Well let me tell you something, Spring cleaning isn’t all about emptying out clutter or fulfilling tasks that you purely have to do to move forward (or at least it doesn’t have to be!). It can also be a fabulous time to switch up an interior space so that it’s a fresh feast for your eyes and not stuck in time, bringing it up to scratch with the person you are today! 🌼
With that in mind I felt pulled in the direction of getting new posters to replace the old ones (which have been carefully put away), keeping those lovely wooden frames from before. I knew I was looking for bright prints that didn’t just blend into their surroundings, I wanted them to be the focal point so that the tides changed: everything else will now have to blend in with these powerful pieces and they’ll take centre stage. Bold but not brash, I wished for the pieces to tell a story (unlike the last editions to the gallery wall that focused on alternating frame tones with prints that didn’t really relate to each other, other than through calm shades which worked well to provide warmth through Winter!). This time things are more vibrant! 🍋

For Spring I picked out prints that look even better (if that’s possible) when combined, starting with a golden vineyard. I’m not sure where exactly it is that lemons are grown, but the word grove comes to mind? (I would google it but wheres the fun in that? It adds to the conversation through not knowing 😌😂). On this “Lemon Grove” the juiciest lemons are grown and leafy green vines surround them capturing the golden sunlight perfectly, helping them to thrive. In the next frame the lemons are good to go, being carefully picked and placed in a rattan basket 🧺. On from that, the lemons are moving to their next destination: a quant cobbled village where in a grocery store they’re sold to passers by (I like to imagine I am one to be honest with you even though lemons wreak havoc on my reflux 🤔😂). The last poster tries to make out they’re yet to be picked but just imagine 😅. Customers make them into wonderful treats, some of the lemons will turn into lemonade on a warm day and others will be the jam that accompanies a morning slice of toast 🍋…okay I feel hungry now. There’s nothing more refreshing than fruit!

The plan I had played out exactly how I wanted it to with those prints and I’m so pleased with them! ⭐ I like to call our newly decorated gallery wall: When life gives you lemons, where do they come from? 🤣 (because not only does it tell a story, I also don’t actually know where they come from! 😂🍋). I love how different the wall looks and with rotating those larger wooden frames from their previous landscape to portrait you’d think they were new too. My family were confused thinking I’d got new ones but they’ve just been moved around, honest! 😂. Also, thanks to the handy clips on the back of the frames, they work both ways with no trouble (they could just have easily been sat on a shelf too if that is what you’d prefer!). Here, we’re fascinated by this gallery wall because it makes that area of going up/down the stairs connect with the rest of the house and not just be a barren landscape so it’s bound to stay for years to come – Result! 😄
It’s nice adding some art into the fold of day to day life as it keeps things fun and I often find myself grinning over the awesome art that Poster Store has available, now featured right in front of me! One thing that’s for certain though, when I was making up my mind about what prints I’d go with, it could have very easily gone down a path of severe indecisiveness because that’s just me 😏 but it didn’t because with stuff like this, you know when you know! Moving on from the gallery wall I recently felt ready to redecorate parts of my cozy bedroom that have been the same for years and I’m not even exaggerating. The first one was an area that I’d known I didn’t particularly care for (a random shelf above my bed that I’m pretty sure I’ve hit my head on a fair few times – naturally, it had to go! 🤕). I’d held back on making moves on it for so long but this felt like the right time to grow in that aspect. Do you know what may help me explain it better? Images of the before and after so here’s the before!

Nothing special huh? Before I share what’s there now, how about we go through the next slice of advice:
Don’t be afraid to change something, especially if it’s served it’s cause and is ultimately holding you back. It’s not exactly the simplest thing to do and it may sound silly but it can be so easy to say no to updating a space you don’t like because it harks back to a time when you did like it that way! Perhaps you think it’ll go back to that time soon enough? Yeah well I got stuck in that funfest for a good while! Change can be a great thing, in fact, it can be an AMAZING thing when you come to the realization that a moment in the past can be just that, a nice memory and now it’s time to move on (…okay I’m getting ahead of myself now, I’m talking about another shelf that comes later on in this post, I’m not fantasizing over a shelf that I never really even used I swear 😅😂). The decision to push forward with this course of action was made swiftly once I was granted a visit by the prints that I knew would end up there in place of the self that once was! (You should have seen my heart list on Poster Store, the only difficult part was whittling that stronghold down to the final contestants but I pushed through 🥲🤣).
You’ve seen the before soooo……drumroll please 🥁……Let’s hear it for the after!

The creativity was flowing and the paint was running so after the shelf was gone and the wall was painted over (how we have pink paint left over from 6 year old Lucy’s choices is beyond me – our shed is a haven for us hoarders), up they went! I’m a sucker for inspirational quotes and sources of motivation so what better way to have something imprinted on my mind than to put it up where I’m always gonna see it!? ✨ I also knew I wanted something abstract and the almost bohemian like mountain prints are so beautiful! My sister wants some of her own in these particular frames after seeing mine which is fantastic so she’s going to hop onto the website and see what else Poster Store have! 😄
I got all excited about putting the prints that have pink elements to them in rose gold frames and the posters that are more of a navy/bronze colour into golden frames. Over the years it’s become a running theme where I get asked if I’m ever going to paint my room and the answer I’ve stuck to solidly as of late is no. I love the colour because of how the golden sun can catch it in the day and cause it to calmly glow. Why change something big that brings moments of enlightenment where I feel inspired and motivated, serene and relaxed?
Why not focus instead on how over time, pieces of décor keep up with who you are? I have a base and I like to add to it with prints! What I’m getting at here is that instead of changing the groundworks of things in my surroundings, I enjoy switching stuff up a bit as with phases, personal preference and whatever season we may be in, I slowly grew to understand that I don’t have to or even want to change the wall colour or anything huge like that, I can alternate what I choose to decorate it with instead.

I’m truly obsessed with this wall now, it feels like my room is becoming more suited to who I am and the quality of the prints themselves just makes everything look more crisp and tidy (even when my room is anything but 😁😂). Whilst we’re on the subject of quality I cannot highlight enough how brilliant the standard of Poster Stores products are! They’re at a whole other level and not only is each design printed on sustainably produced, high quality card but they’re also worth it in that they’re crystal clear (not pixelated like some I came across on a birthday hunt I’d rather forget 😂). Both the card and the frames are nice and sturdy so you’d be hard pushed to tear the prints accidentally which is always the first thing that comes into my mind whenever I get anything!
Poster Store are dedicated to being transparent with their customers about the process these prints go through in order to make it to you and that involves ensuring the wood they are made with comes from responsibly managed forests as well as being aware of their carbon footprint through minimizing the impact they create through taking shorter transport routes. It’s nice to know that it’s not a surface level thing with them (that’d make a great pun for a print but I won’t, don’t worry 🙌😂), Poster Store are making a difference from the ground up with how they do business 🌳…okay, now that was a good pun and I meant it too! 🤣✨
When you know that the calibre of the posters and frames raises the bar the only other thing you’ve got to do is decide what it is exactly that you want. Like I mentioned above, that was both an easy feat and a tricky one too because I liked a lot of their wall art so the thought was there but then I found I was bound to many of them 💘. Whittling down the list was fun as I became engulfed in the possibilities of how each space would turn out. In the long run I think it’s essential to try not to spend a long amount of time questioning a design. The end result will outlast the decision itself anyway!
I mean sure it’s a must in terms of thinking about where you’re putting it with how it’ll look and what size is needed (maybe it’ll be a gift which is a fantastic idea 🎁) but when it gets to the point of you lagging on actually having any posters to show for it then you’ve gotta do something about that because why ruin a good thing, you know? Initial thoughts are more or less what you should roll with (within reason) because the longer the indecisiveness goes on, there’s a chance other people’s opinions will get in on the act and feed your doubt, further elongating the process of thinking about what to get! 😤……and breathe….😅✨🤣.
The other part of my room I redecorated was up by a shelf where I kept framed certificates I am very proud of! 💫 This is where I jumped ahead to earlier on when we were talking about change 😅. Up until now I’ve loved seeing those certificates there but recently I have wanted a new source of motivation to meet me when I glance that way, something not so associated with the past, something fresher. I decided to move those frames completely and not just fill them with the prints. I got an urge to have the posters up in a way that would allow me to use the shelf (they’d have otherwise sat on) for storage!

I wanted a simplistic + light group of prints and when I found these beauties I automatically knew they’d be the best option! They’re a breath of fresh air and adding to that, they’re not enclosed in frames which leads to a more open-ended and free flowing look because I used white Blu-tak to stick them up that won’t show through. This must have been the fastest choice out of the three interior spaces I ended up decorating and I owe that all to those beginner thoughts I held onto about thinking they’d work well instead of questioning it further (it’s gotta be fresher if it’s not an overly crowded thought, right? I’m trying to get this back on topic for Spring cleaning here and it’s becoming more and more obvious 🧼🤣).

The three prints side by side are so neat and aesthetically pleasing! 😍 Like I mentioned earlier, my room is on the side of the house that catches the golden afternoon sunlight and now that those gorgeous posters are up, they are shrouded in rays that encapsulate those golden pink shades, it’s simply mesmerizing! 🌞 As planned, it’s also nice to have a shelf to spare, now that the certificates have been stored elsewhere. I’m going to have trinkets and ornaments displayed up there, short and small so that they don’t block the beauty of the art because I love it so much! 😄
In conclusion:
- I brought our gallery wall up to speed with the season (and I’m pretty sure it’ll stay that way all Summer because it suits both that and spring! 🙌🌄).
- I transformed a part of my
hideoutbedroom which involved removing a shelf I had forgotten didn’t even have to be there (now it looks magnificent thanks to the prints!). - And I also made better use of shelf space, in turn becoming a more present minded person! (How very zen of me 🧘😂).
What a leap forward! Before Poster Store I had no intentions of doing these things but now I couldn’t imagine them any other way ✨. Unsurprisingly, everything made it up and each interior wall that got decorated was instantaneously rebooted and given a new lease on life. I could not be happier or wish for a better outcome than that!
Sooo, we’ve reached the end of our meetup and I hope I was able to explain how even though Spring cleaning has the potential to be a daunting thing (not all the time because it can be a calming activity as well), when it’s approached in a new light it can be super eye-opening and really give a sense of growth in a season that always exudes fresh starts. Poster Store have gone a long way in feeding that need for change, not just inspiring me to take that first step away from what once was but also making it happen full stop so that the step brought me into Spring and hereafter. I promised you a surprise and I didn’t forget about it! (The clickbait hounds would never have let me hear the end of it 🐺😂).
Poster Store have very kindly given a 45% discount code for you guys to use on their store and should you choose to use it, I’d absolutely love to hear what you go with and what you think of it! The code is ELSIELMC45 and is valid from March 25th to April 25th!
