Hello elf-ryone! 💚❤️
Welcome to day 2 of My kinda Blogmas! 🥳 It took me so long to think of a name for this one and I’m not even sure if it’s classed as a DIY but we’ll let that slide 🤣. The other day my sister and I used a festive rock painting kit and it’s got to have been the most Christmassy thing we’ve done so far (other than putting up the tree 🤔…that felt pretty Christmassy but then it would, wouldn’t it! 😂🎄). We put Home Alone 3 on in the background (I think I laugh the most at that one!), lit some candles, tried to ward the dogs AWAY from the paint and flicked through the kits accompanying booklet to pick a design and were on our merry way to creating the most festive rocks out there! (But then again, I am incredibly biased because I would say that 😏🤣).
We went for the same painting: a snowman surrounded by a starry night sky but with different objects placed on his palm – I chose a snowball and my sister went with a spray bottle because she’s mad about cleaning (any other Mrs Hinch fans out there? 🧼…and now I know that through typing in “cleaning” you’ll get a soap emoji I was unaware existed! You live and you learn 🤣). If I could think of a good pun involving the cleaning brand Bold and boulders I would but there’s no time for that! We had so much fun!! I’ll admit I’m up and down with feeling festive but this definitely made me feel it! 😁🎄 I can’t remember the last time I used paint, probably for my bullet journal last December 🤔…gosh that’s a horrible thought when it only feels like yesterday but it’s not!! 😅⌚ Seeing as the kit came with 4 rocks there were two left and I think we were not wanting to focus as much as we had done on getting the previous design right so for the last two rocks we just did random things. My sister painted a heart and I drew a star on half mint, half pale pink and I thought I was being all artistic by making the lighter shades myself but the pink kinda looked like raw meat 🤢…I’m not a vegan/vegetarian, it’s just not what I was going for with a painted rock 🤣. Do you know what, I still love it but it doesn’t win out over the snowman!! ☃️ He’s too cool 😏😂 and speaking of “cool”, later that night we saw the Very Merry Countess Christmas Livestream and really enjoyed it! 💃🏽 (Any other RHONY fans out there?). Here’s to more moments like that all over the festive season! 🙌✨
