Hiya!! 💕 Today’s post is an exciting and hopefully helpful one 🤞✨. I recently reached 3500 followers and honestly, I don’t believe it 😌 and for that reason it’s difficult to take in. It’s weird to think that there are that many people behind this as it feels the same as it always has. Maybe thats because it’s done through a screen and on this side I have the same surroundings since back when I started (although a lot has changed).
It’s not like I’m in a room with that many people (which would be wrong what with everything that’s going on in the world but hear me out 😅😂), if that happened I’d see how much 3500 is but as things are it’s strange to contemplate there actually being that many of you. Thinking back to when I used to go to concerts and the stadiums held that much is maddening. It’s mind boggling but maybe I shouldn’t question it? Why try to make sense of a good thing and in a way belittle an achievement? It’s something I need to stop doing and it also ties in with today’s post! 👏
I’m not as nervous as I once thought I would have been if I were to reach this point in thinking my words are out there to that extent because this has always felt like a calming space to be and I wouldn’t want that to change. I remember back when I started and was imagining ever reaching 1000 of you and then it came and it just started getting surreal and odd in that I could never + still can’t bring myself to believe it and yet I should! 🙌 Time has just gone by so fast and I wonder where the years went. That’s life I suppose. I remember on my 16th birthday my mum said that is the age when things started speeding by for her too and it’s so true! Ahh I don’t want to get all upset, this is a happy post! 😆….😭😂
I have so many beautiful memories here with you guys and I’m grateful for all of it. Faces have come and gone and I’d like to think there are many more friendships waiting to blossom through random chats where I try to keep my cool ✨ (can you keep something you don’t have? That is the real question, forget those above 😂). The community here is truly magical and great to be a part of. It’s lovely to think that my writing has had an impact enough for you to want to hit that button and stick around so from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU 💓 (my heart is loud 😂). 🤗 *hugs and squeezes* 🤗
Usually I’ll dedicate an entire post to expressing the overwhelming gratitude I feel (even if it does come as a shock) but this time I thought it would be a great idea to write something that you could possibly find useful! I like it when you can come away having gotten something from my posts so I’m roping this achievement into that and giving you a two for one today 🎉😂.
In trying to think of a way to celebrate I came across this post, 3 ways to get over people who don’t want you to succeed, on my phones notepad (which I’ve recently taken to jotting down quick thoughts for my blog when I’m nowhere near my journal) and I thought it was very fitting for a significant announcement like this although the idea for it was initially sparked by something that is going on in my private life.
No matter what area it tags in with we all have people that don’t want us to succeed, even if we aren’t aware of it, that’s just life. There will be naysayers out there that are ready to jump and shout out that maybe these people just want the best for you, but that doesn’t make dealing with the implications any easier 🤷 although I do mention below that this could be a leading factor.
A lot of the time there’s nothing we can directly do to change a persons viewpoint but there ARE ways to help us cope if the judgement is coming at us headfirst in an obvious way so let’s shed a light on them! For our mental wellbeing it is important to do whatever we can on our end to view it in a better light, get through it and use it for own benefit! Here we go! The first way to get over someone who doesn’t want you to succeed is to…..⚡
Work hard to get where you wanna be and let it motivate you!
Don’t allow proving them wrong to become your sole destination as then you’re doing it for that person. Do it for you and believe in yourself no matter what they think (that could be a separate point but I’m trying to keep this simple so that you’re more likely to get it all into your system 😅😂). Keep in mind that YOU have a focus and aren’t the one looking down on others, I know who I’d rather cheer on out those two personas! 👏
Keep on going!
Okay so this may sound similar to the point above but I’m only just realizing that now 🙄🙈. Know that nothing stands in the way of determination (when it’s a force of good anyway!) and if you keep striving to move forwards you will achieve your goals! Naturally fallbacks will occur but that’s only normal just so long as you get back up having learned something that you can take forward with you!
Maintain a positive aura whenever possible around then but if you feel it would help them to see that you acknowledge it won’t be plain sailing, maybe let them in on where you’ve found things difficult and then perhaps they’ll see how you’ve kept going through that struggle and aren’t going to stop just because of that let alone them. Sooner or later they will see that you’re a fighter and have it in you to achieve the impossible.
Question why they have this belief:
Are they being held back in life and in turn find it tough to see others move forward? Do they need to hear a plan from you in order to understand or is it none of their business? Which is totally okay too. Are they nosy busybodies trying to make themselves feel better? Or are they truly concerned about your choices?
At times it’s easy for some people to fall into the mindset that they are being looked down upon instead of actually looking deeper into why that could be (if it is the case at all) when others have their best interests at heart. People that judge could have a right to act this way but perhaps they should approach it better and need to be told that (Avoiding unnecessary drama of course! We don’t want that 😂). There’s so many ways of looking at it and I’ll bet you have even more so throw them in the comments! Your thoughts could be of help to someone out there you never know. It goes without saying but I’mma say it anyway, keep it kind and I’ll love you for it 💫💝.
Thank you for reading and staying with me and my blog (or maybe you’re knew here? In which case I hope you choose to do so too! 😝). Blogging has brought nothing but joy to my life (…..unless I’m in a writing rut, then I get all moody about it 🤔 but anyway!) and I wonder where it’ll go from here ✨ We shall see! (Well actually my next post is up in 3 days so I suppose THAT is where we’ll go but I’m talking further down the line 😂). In an effort to live more in the present moment (as this post was backwards and forwards!) I hope you have a wonderful day and take care 🍂💞 Do something for you, then think of me and remember that the happiness occured because I told you to do it…you’re welcome 😊😂.
