My Blogging Plans // 500th post & 3,300 peeps! 🎊

🎊 *Imagine a swarm of confetti flying up into your face as soon as you open this post* 🎊 Cause that’s how I’m feeling! (Like radiating an air of confetti, not actually throwing confetti in people’s faces. I don’t know if you’d appreciate me doing that! 😬 It might backfire! 😂). Hello everyone and welcome to my 500th blog post!! I also noticed the other day that there are now 3,300 of you so I thought I’d acknowledge that too as I’m very happy about it and appreciative of every single one of you! 😆💕

I can’t even put into words how strange it feels to try to comprehend that I’ve written that many posts and not be able to remember the majority of them 😵😂 I only just noticed 3 days ago what number this one would be (I’m glad I did as if I had realized later on a mighty fuss would have been kicked up at the missed opportunity to mark the occasion 😂🎉).

I was going to write about the lessons I’ve learned through blogging so far but then I realized I’ve already done that HERE (See what I mean about forgetting? 🙈😂). Then it came to me after I stopped thinking so hard about it 💡 Today I’m going to share some of my blogging plans! (Not all of them because a girl’s gotta have her secrets 😂). I was going to say “goals” but I prefer plans because they sound less pressure filled and with plans I feel like I have more control over how they’ll go 😌😂 and anyway I already have goals (now here’s a post that I DO remember: my blogging goals for 5 years time!……I’ve actually stolen a couple of these to add to this list with hope of making them happen! These are my plans for the future regarding this blog and stuff that will hopefully branch out from it as well 🌲 Here we go:

Do a giveaway!

I’ve been wanting to do a giveaway for a while now! 🎁 I’m thinking of having it over on Twitter as I don’t know why but I hold Twitter giveaways in a high regard and have always thought they were cool for some reason 😂 I may or may not already have an item for this giveaway too 😏 You’ll just have to wait and see! 👀

Get back into doing my blogger shout-out series

For a while I used to do this each month and I’d share my favourite posts I’d come across (You can read them here: May, June, July, September)…….Looking back, a lot of those bloggers have since disappeared so maybe this series was a curse 😲😂 If I bring this back I probably won’t do it every month, I might build up a list over a season instead as it kind of ruined my blog post reading experience as there was sorta a deadline when I had to pick posts. Believe it or not it was quite stressful as I didn’t want to miss a favourite that could have been added or overanalyze everything I was checking out which was inevitable. This one’s a maybe and may not come to fruition but if I can find the right balance it may very well be popping up in your reader! 💌

Go self-hosted

I plan on going self-hosted once I have used up all of the free space WordPress has to offer 😏😂 Not only because of the free part but it’s also due to the fact that this will buy me more time as I’m quite nervous about making that jump. I used to be more well-versed on what route I’d take but then I lost sight of it 😦 I’m hoping that if I can get on-top of some other things I’ll be able to put more time into looking at my options and make the right choice when the time comes!

Start a book club 📚

This one’s a maybe! I kinda feel like the whole reading experience would be rushed if I was to create a group and I like to take my time with a good book so I don’t know how that would work 🤔 (kind of similar to my point above, I just don’t like to waste good reading material! 😂). Maybe I could just read books that aren’t good….problem solved! 😂 I’ve seen people start clubs over on Instagram but I’d rather join one of those than start one, my blog is the place for me to do it and social media can be an extension of that with snippets leading back to the posts (okay I’m getting excited about this! 😄).

I have a club name in mind (names always come easier to me than the content itself 🙄😂) but if this is going to work I’ll need to think of a layout that will go down well with me. I might read a book, take notes on it as I go and then release posts every now and then as though they are in the present moment…I actually like that idea! This book club may be happening sooner than either of us could have imagined 😂💭

Create a newsletter

Another idea I’m unsure of. Are these really plans if I’m so indecisive about them?? I really enjoy receiving newsletters from various blogs I follow, they keep you going whilst you wait for a new post from those bloggers ✨ I’ve got a good thing going with my blog at the moment though so I don’t know if I’d want that extra scheduled pressure 🤔 but if I did then they might end up being a seasonal thing as well and at least then I’d have time to come up with content 📆😂

Meet blogging friends

This would just be the cherry on top of life! 🍒 You guys are amazing and I can’t wait to meet you someday 😊 Maybe in the comments we could imagine how it would happen? I’d like to meet outside a cafe…you wouldn’t catch me meeting you in there as I’d be too nervous to walk in and stand like a deer in headlights searching for you (if stress can be avoided then I’mma take that road so we’ll meet eachother at the door 👍😂). We’d chat away with a selection of foodie treats at our beck and call whilst sipping a mug of our favourite hot beverage 🤗☕…I’m already there, where are you? 😂

Have regular coffee chats

I LOVE having a natter about everything and nothing whilst keeping up the pretence that I’m not secretly harboring a mug of hot chocolate because for those of you that don’t know, I can’t actually have coffee (as much as I’d like to and boy do I crave it some days!). These chats of ours are a nice way to offload random gossip I’ve built up in one giant heap so I always look forward to them (check out one of them HERE!).

Host blogger meetings

I have an overall layout that these meetings would adhere to and it hasn’t been done before (or at least I hope it hasn’t 😂). Despite the idea overwhelming me I have enjoyed myself at blogger events in the past so I’d like to think it would be an entirely different set of nerves if I was at the helm of the ship and I’d be in control of the situation.

The only hint I can think of without giving the game away is that these meetings would be held in a less daunting fashion so they’d hopefully bring people out of their comfort zones enough to turn up but also be a step inside that so that you’ll be proud of yourself afterwards 💫 (it makes sense in my mind I swear 😵😂). I’d love to make this a reality one day but it would definitely be years down the line so watch this space!

Start a new theme on Instagram

I go in and out of phases with Instagram and I feel like I’m about to enter another one because I’ve thought of an idea for a theme! 😆😂 It’s a design that came to me yesterday and I cannot wait to create it. It’s kind of like a frame for photos so now I just need to take some pics which will probably be the part that holds me back as there’s no inspiration there 😂📷

Prepare loads of posts in advance 🙌

I have loads of full & half written posts in my blogging journal, it’s the typing out part that I only get round to at the last minute 🙈 so my goal is to not leave everything till then! Even if I only have one extra post than what is to be uploaded I’ll be pleased as it’s a start and will help in the long run with keeping on top of things so wish me luck! I need it on demand 😂

Blog until I’m a little old lady living in a Hobbit hole

That is the dream anyway! 😂 I can SEE it too ✨ I’d probably have to build the Hobbit hole at some point with the large round door and a pantry to match 🍯 I wonder what old me would write about!? Probably the same stuff, let’s not get carried away with ourselves 😂
