Hi everyone! How are you today? π Spring is drawing to a close…I don’t know whether or not to be happy or sad about that but (cover your ears Spring) I am excited for Summer! π. I wrote my bucket list before isolation kicked in so it’s interesting looking back on it now, it’s not like it was essential to be outside for any of these goals but it’s still strange to think that I didn’t know what was to come (I suppose we never really do! β¨).
Nearing the end of the season I slacked on my goals a bit because it was around this time that I started to prepare my Summer bucket list and I was ready for new and exciting things so I kind of mentally closed of this chapter π now it’s time to bid it farewell for real! π Let’s take a look at how I did:
Be up to see the sunrise at least once π
I got up specifically for this at one point but that day the sun decided to stay hidden until the afternoon ππ Other mornings that I got up early it didn’t cross my mind to check and then isolation set in and my sleep routine (or what I had of one!) got messed up so it’s been off the cards for a while. Now that I think about it whenever I’m up early I never see the sun rise so what exactly is my definition of early?? π I should definitely do some research and figure out when the sun is suppose to appear each morning where I live π€ it’d save a lot of disappointment!
Learn something new everyday π«
I don’t know exactly what I was expecting to learn but I’ve realized that we do take on new snippets of information everyday whether it be from the news, facts or through conversation so you can’t really lose! *Me trying to make myself feel better there* π. I’m planning on trying out loads of new things throughout Summer as well as rediscovering old hobbies + brushing up on them, one of which is getting back into playing the ukulele.
Oh, actually I did teach myself how to tune it the other day! I used to always ask my dad but I decided to take initiative and figure it out myself. At first I tuned it and it didn’t work properly but then I realized I’d done it for a right hander so I stopped thinking too deeply about it and realized all I had to do was work the opposite way with tuning each string the other way around to make it left handed and I did it! π *Pat’s self on back for seemingly simple task that was actually quite stressful* ππ I’m looking forward to plugging it into an amp like I used to as it gave songs that bit more power π€π
Drink LOADS of water π
I did! Most days I’ll drink more than the recommended 2 litres without even realizing it until it’s time to get a new bottle (I’m beginning to think half of it evaporates in the heat though π). It’s been so warm so more than ever it is important to stay hydrated, even if it doesn’t feel like water is having an effect. I’ve also gotten back into drinking a glass of coconut water a day which you feel the benefits of straight away! (Could’ve sworn there was a coconut emoji π€ but then again I think that about most things π).
Write down all of my poems in one place
Yep! They’re all written in the starry notebook from this haul and it’s nice having them in one place to look back on ππ
Make memories
I know I’ve made memories, it’s just that isolation makes them all blurry to remember π€π Good thing I’ve got this blog that has recorded some of them in monthly favourites, they will NOT be shrouded in mystery forever β¨π Here are the links to those posts so you can have a nosy at what I got up to:
I think after Summer is over memories of that season will come to mind a lot easier because Spring was just a mega period of adjustment to quarantine life, things will still change as restrictions are lifted but I don’t think it will happen as quickly so there will be space in my mind to take in other stuff if that makes sense? π
Have more happy times than sad
The things that were getting me down back then have cooled off so that’s good and the medication that made me feel low has been halved so it’s having less of an effect on me. At the beginning of isolation there was an adjustment period, not exactly to being at home but to finding time to myself. That has settled so I’m happy in that way but these are still difficult and overwhelming times, I don’t really know how to answer this one π 2020 will definitely be a year to remember, that’s for sure! π«
Wear more jewelry
In the beginning I did π I think I just shouldn’t plan some things as then they’re destined not to happen π₯ It was just a fun goal though so I’m not overly bothered. I’m excited to break out my Summery outfits and see what I can style them with π
And that’s that! Farewell Spring π§ On to bigger and better things π Thank you for reading! π Look out for my Summer bucket list, which will be jam-packed! π° Did you set yourself goals for Spring? How did they go? Let me know in the comments below and I hope you have a great day! β¨π
Ooh this was really good to read! I love how youβve revisited it!

Thank you so much! π What happens to all of these disappearing emojis?? π΅ Maybe it’s the Mandela effect on a lower scale ππ«

Yeah, the amount of discussions I’ve had with other bloggers about missing emojis, there must be something behind it! π«

I feel like writing them down gives me that extra little push to achieve them knowing that I will be checking back later on ππ I’d definitely recommend it. Ahhh thank you so much! β¨π

Ooh! Ukulele is so fun! Also it is quite stressful tuning it left handed! One time when I was in music class, I was teaching the ukulele group our part for it and we also had a left handed person so it was a bit of a learning curve for me. However, you get used to it really quickly, so donβt be discouraged!
Have you thought about any songs you want to learn?

I had forgotten! Im glad I picked it back up, it gives such a sense of accomplishment when you can remember the chords to a song as well. Mine is being annoying and untuning itself in it’s case, I think I should put it out of reach when I’m not using it so it doesn’t get knocked over π So far I’ve been playing loads of ELO songs as I love them β¨ If you had to pick your favourite song to play, what would it be? Thank you for reading! πβ€οΈ

Un-tuning is actually really common! After a little while of regular tuning it usually holds it.
ELO songs are awesome! My favourite song to play is (maybe) Freckles and Constellations by Dodie, but that may just be because itβs the most recent one Iβve learnt πππ
