I’m 21 now! 🎂

Hi everyone! As you can tell by the title of this post…I’m 21 now! 😲 I’m in shock and yet at the same time I feel like the number fits and that this will be my year! ✨ November the 9th was the big day and I had a lovely time spent with family ❤️ Can I just say a massive thank you for all of the birthday wishes I received!! It was so nice hearing from you guys and it made my day (my face broke from smiling but that’s not your fault I suppose 😂). I’m writing this post to tell you all about my birthday and at the end I have some BIG news to tell you about so read on!

I had to start this new era off how I intend to go forward and I thought the best way to begin would be to wear an outfit I put together in my head and had been planning on wearing for some time. In the morning I wasn’t allowed in the sitting room where everything was laid out until all my family were home so I got changed, painted my nails and replied to messages from friends. My outfit for the day featured the corduroy trousers I wrote about here, my favourite black t-shirt and a long sleeved stripe top underneath. I felt like it was very me! 😂

It’s only just occurred to me that I wear the stuff that my younger self pictured me wearing at this stage but never thought I would actually have the guts to put on so that’s kinda a huge confidence boost that in this area I’m where I thought/wished I’d be! 😂

I have filled this board with important dates to remember and I get so excited to write my monthly goings-on on it 😂

I LOVE Studio Ghibli with a passion so I’m excited to discover some new gems!

Frozen t-shirt

The first festive item of clothing I have worn this year! It’s so cute and says “when they ask if I have been good this year…” with Olaf looking all innocent 😂

Notebooks

You can’t go wrong with a good notebook or two! ✌️

Camera

My sister surprised me with this camera to help with my blog! 🤣 I’m still figuring it out but so far I know how to send photos to my phone using he WIFI mode 😍 it’s definitely going to be used until it can be used no more 😂

Pajamas

These PJ’s have lil panda’s on them 🐼

Radox bath bombs

Bath bombs are forever welcome in my life! (Wait…that makes me sound like I’m smelly 😂) Rephrase: Bath bombs always make for a relaxing experience! (That’s better 😌).

Duvet cover

Boy it was difficult to put this cover on my duvet for some reason, a real work out for sure 😂 I really like the pattern and favour darker colours on my bed around this time of year as they make it look warm & cozy so it’s ticking all of the boxes!

Bastille magazine

I wished for this and didn’t expect to receive it but here we are! 😆

Handbag

My aunt got me this bag and I cannot wait to use it 😍 it is the perfect size for my purse, phone + mini essentials!

Coat

I actually chose this and practically live in it when out and about now (you’d see me coming from a mile off in this shade 😂).

Books

I wrote a bit about these two books in the book haul that beats all post!

Slippers

These slippers are keeping my toes nice and toasty 🤗

Perfumes

When asked what I wanted for my birthday I said I’d really like to have a signature scent and so my mum got me a selection of perfumes!! 😆 There is Paco Robanne Lady Million, Anais Anais (which I have used the most so far), F&F white freesia & pear, Calvin Klein Euphoria, Estee Lauder Beautiful Belle, Tommy Hilfiger Tommy girl and Midnight Fantasy Britney Spears!

Which I am now using to store all of my perfumes! 💛 My room looks quite tidy in that photo but you should see the other side 🙄😂

The day was spent drinking a praline hot chocolate from Costa, watching Studio Ghibli movies and accidentally opening the fridge and catching a glimpse of my cake despite there being a sign on the door saying “DON’T OPEN FRIDG”……there was no space for the E 😂 maybe that’s where the confusion set in and I opened it 🤔 either that or it’s because I completely forgot and was thirsty so I opened the fridge for a drink 🤷

Right, here’s the big news: Some time around my birthday I figured out what I want to do next with my life (if you’re a regular reader here you may know that I have had absolutely no clue what I want to do next for ages now so it feels good to finally have an idea! 💫).

This time last year for my 20th birthday my sister surprised me with a bunch of books on being a Life Coach and said that she alongside the rest of the family thought that I would make a great one! In the moment I got excited but back then I thought I wanted to be an accountant and was focusing on my course for that. I forgot about it up until now until it came back to me and I realized it’s actually what I want to do 😵

I want to help other people figure out what they want out of life after personally not knowing for so long and having chronic pain restrict my choices. I am going to read through books at the moment whilst taking a course online in public speaking theory (as that is something I am also thinking about doing one day + maybe the two will entwine somewhere down the line and I can incorporate them into my blog) and focus on continuing to learn to drive and then sometime next year I’m going to take a course up in Dublin and become a qualified coach! 💫

I was NOT expecting for things to fall as close as they can into place but they have and it seemed to happen when I least expected it like everyone told me it would (I just never listened 😂). I’m excited for the future and what it holds and I can’t wait to bring you all along on the journey as you have already seen me through so much and it honestly means a lot to have your support 💖
