Hi everyone! I hope you’re well and loving the sun π I know I’m enjoying it! (I just contradicted everything I’ve ever said about this weather but it actually isn’t that bad…yet π). The last time I did a book haul was back in September with A book haul to quench your thirst (I know it’s been a while! Hence the title, I’ve been waiting for this moment and am happily typing away π). Prepare yourselves to bear witness to my minds thoughts when it comes to books (you’re gonna feel like you’re intruding on an intense relationship but that can only be expected in these circumstances π€·π). Here is what I got on my latest trip to my local easons! π
Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine by Gail Honeyman

I’ve wanted this book for so long and every time I go into a book shop I pick it up (I’m surprised it took me this long to get it tbh π). It’s the only one I’ve started in this haul so far and it’s really really good (whenever I write a word twice to emphasize my point I feel like it will be viewed as a mistakeπ). I’m intrigued to see where it goes and I’m living for the little snippets of information about Eleanor’s past! I have my suspicions but I guess I’ll just have to wait and see what happens π (maybe I should write down in a notebook where I think it will go and read back on it later + compare? π― (Well you guys know what I’m gonna be doing for the rest of the day now! π).
Landline by Rainbow Rowell

I remember loving both Fangirl + Eleanor & Park when I read them and although I can’t exactly remember them both fully I have carried the thought forward that I simply must read more Rainbow Rowell books so when I saw Landline I grabbed it! It’s one of those flimsy paperbacks and that makes me look forward to reading it even more for some reason (I know I’m weird π).
Dancing the charleston by Jacqueline Wilson

Jacqueline Wilson is my go to author for a cozy bedtime read as her books always calm me and are super easy to follow. I am currently still finishing off My Mum Tracy Beaker but when I’m done I’ll be all over this one like a rash (I couldn’t help myself there π). I actually didn’t know this book existed before my sister pointed it out behind me in the store so you can imagine how happy I am to have my next read lined up for that time of day! π
Two can keep a secret by Karen M. McManus

Last year I ziplined through reading One of Us Is Lying and absolutely LOVED it so I can’t wait to be taken in by another surefire killer plot! I actually think OOUIL was the last murder mystery book I read too π€ so it’s kinda strange my next one will be by the same author (although I could be wrong, I got through quite a lot of books last year and not all of them left as big an impression as OOUIL π).
The up side of unrequited by Becky Albertalli

“Love, Simon” was a book like no other for me and I very nearly wrote a review about it but as well as not being able to put that obsession into words, when I did I felt I was going overboard so I just left it π (imagine how many blog posts go down the drain when people think like that). I was hoping to find “Leah on the Offbeat” but it wasn’t there so when I found this I was just glad to obtain and get reading something by the same author. Becky’s style of writing is pure magic and I get the feeling I’m going to save this book until after I’ve read all the others!
Turtles all the way down by John Green

I’ve read most of John Green’s books and each time I have come away seeing life through a completely different set of eyes and so buying this book was a given (especially after reading so many reviews of it!). I’ve seen the hardback everywhere and this seems incredibly small in comparison to that so I hope it’s not missing any of the story π
Thank you so much for reading! π Have you read any of these books before? Are they good? Let me know and have a fantastic day π
If you have time to spare, please check out my what are your assumptions about me? post and contribute by getting in touch! I would love to hear from you and it would mean so much π
Love this post so much! π I still need to read a lot of books I bought last year hahah too bad π I love John Green and I read that book. You will love it too. I have the hard cover so it’s bigger hahah. I would love to read Eleanor Oliphant as I have heard it’s a great book. Two can keep a secret if one of them is dead… reminds me the serie Pretty Litte Liars which I love so much π
