Hi everyone! I hope you’re well ❤️ Here is a bit of a serious question, how does social media make you feel: happy? confused? annoyed? or even sad? For me it’s been the latter of the lot for a long time but I’m working hard on changing that!
I don’t really know how to express myself on social media so I mostly just use it to advertise blog posts and for a long time I’ve been thinking that’s not good enough but it works for me and that’s all that matters and is what I am trying to accept.
I always put so much thought into what I think I should be doing and I don’t even realize that something is better than nothing at all when its somewhere I’m not wanting to give up on being completely. Some days I don’t want to be using social media and that is okay. I’m glad I distance myself in those moments.
I often feel like on social media I pay a lot more attention to stats than I do on my blog in turn not making the environment as fun as it could be. My blog is my positive space and the feeling won’t seem to transcend onto anything else. All I can say is I’m happy I don’t have a love/hate relationship with my blog like I do with social media. I just need to find my place on it and learn from there.
I’ve decided to take social media with a pinch of salt by trying my best not to stress so much over how it could be and just enjoy how it is.
If you want to follow me on my social media journey feel free to, it would make my day!
Thank you for reading my little rant 😉 How do you feel about social media? Can you relate to any of this at all? Let me know your thoughts! 😂 Have a lovely day! ❤️
I have never been active on social media, until I started my blog. I used to get so much of anxiety, and assumed everyone has a perfect life out there- forgetting the simple fact that people do not share their failures on social media. But now that I’ve become more mature in my thoughts, I enjoy using it, and my anxiety gets eliminated when I get sweet comments on my posts. You’ve written nicely dear.😊

Same! I didn’t understand social media before blogging. You’re right, people don’t really share the bad side of things on social media. Thank you so much lovely 😄💖

Honestly, I have stopped using social media – sharing, liking and commenting. I only use this platform. It was not planned, it kust happened gradually, started with Twitter, then Facebook and more recently Instagram. The negativity and cyber bullying that goes on in there just broke my heart and made me more sad and depressed. I had to remove myself from such, although I do browse through from time to time.

I think it’s brilliant that you have found what works for you although I’m sorry it happened because of all the negativity circulating that space and made you feel that way. It can all get very daunting at times. Thank you so much for reading lovely 💖

It is completely fascinating to see some of these comments talking about how social media bums us out. I actually wrote about this topic and I really think that a lot of this comes from what is already inside of us, rather than social media being the problem itself. Good piece of encouraging writing.
