Hi everyone! How are you? β€οΈ I’ve really been looking forward to typing out my favourites and have kept track of them up until now so that the deed can be done π€£π Now January was nowhere near as jam-packed with favourites as December was but what caught my eye and made it onto this list was all the more celebrated because of it! Of course looking back on the month it feels like it went fast now that we’re in February but it was actually quite slow…maybe because things happened each week to make it tick along at a nice pace β±οΈ Nethertheless here are my January favourites! π
Escape boat in Dublin π’
On the 11th my sister and I did an escape boat and I can’t really go into much detail without giving it all away (as that would sadly ruin it for future goer’s π). We went 5 minutes over but still had a brilliant time. It really made us think and work together as a team and It’s made me want to try more escape rooms to get that same buzz again! (Ps. We were more lost trying to find the carpark afterwards than we were in the actual escape room lol π).
Aveeno skin relief lotion
οΏΌ
I’ve always been intrigued to try a product by Aveeno and since my skin has fought my daily routine I have needed something new to hydrate and take care of it so my chance finally came along! This lotion has certainly lived up to my expectations and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth after a single small use each dayπ
Giant couscous dish π
οΏΌ
I made this 3 times in January and that last time I made an extra huge portion of it because it’s so good and my mum and dad enjoy it too! It’s a super easy recipe I came up with that basically just involves boiling the couscous and then combining it with cooked mushrooms, prosciutto, pepperoni, spring onions, tomatoes and garlic + onion powder.
Stan and Ollie movie
Laurel & Hardy is something that my sister and I used to climb onto the end or our parents bed and all watch as a family when we were littleuns and there are a lot of memories associated with them so we were all incredibly excited to go see the movie together on the 25th! πΏ It was funny and emotional at the same time which made for a great film!
Silver notebook
οΏΌ
This notebook has me hypnotized half the time (I’m mostly trying to figure out what light is reflecting off it as these days are so dark! π). It has loads of pages and I can’t wait to use it as my next blogging notebook (soon I will be moving onto my fifth one, I’m getting old! π¬π).
Brunch in Brother Hubbard
οΏΌ
οΏΌ
On the 19th, my sister and I traveled up to Dublin to meet up with Molly from The Nomad Pup (who I met at a bloggers networking event last October that you can read all about HERE) for brunch before she heads off on her travels firstly to Greece to meet her little puppy! A lovely time was had in her company and the food was delicious (I had the chorizo, sweet potato and beans which came with two slices of crostini and was topped off with a soft fried egg accompanied by a mimosa πΉ).
Sparkle & shine bath bomb by bomb cosmetics
οΏΌ
This bath bomb turned the bath pink and that vision is still engraved in my brain so I couldn’t not include it as a favourite now could I!? π
The Good Wife and Doctor Foster πΊ
I finished season one of the good wife so flipping fast it’s unbelievable and am now making my way through season two. On top of that I finished both season one and two of Doctor Foster because I have low levels of self control when it comes to good shows and I’m left to fend for myself ππ If you want to have a major rant about either I’m your gal (but no spoilers about The Good Wife please!).
Top by F&F
οΏΌ
This was a treat to wear to the brunch above and I felt all new yearsy Spring vibes (even though it’s not spring yet) in it…if an item of clothing can possibly make you feel that way π
Pilates! π€Έ
I mentioned in my new years resolutions post that I wanted to start exercising and/or doing yoga/pilates and that I’d in fact started doing pilates. I can now report that my pilates game is still going strong! As we speak I am on my period so I can’t do it right now but it’s literally all I want to be doing though π I try to complete a ten minute session whenever I have a stay at home day (as otherwise I’ll end up with a chronic pain flare-up and nothing will get done). It leaves me feeling so awake and positive I can’t wait to keep it up!
A guardian angel
οΏΌ
And last but by no means least, my guardian angel charm badge! My mum got my sister and I each one and right now it is attached to and hidden in amongst my scarf so that until the warm weather heads our way it is on me when I am out and about!
Thank you for reading guys and gals! (Look at me trying something new! Watch me revert back to my old ways next time ππ). Did January bring you any favourites? Let me know and have a lovely day β€οΈ
Fabulous faves! I wanna try Pilates when I have more time cause my yoga & workouts have me crunched enough haha

Thank you so much! π Haha, I want to try yoga too as I feel like I’d get a lot more into a session of that before getting tired than I do with pilates β€οΈ

That cous cous dish looks good! I’ve also heard loads of good stuff about Aveeno but have never personally used it myself. Is it any good for eczema skin do you reckon?

I wish I could make more but we’ve run out of the giant couscous π I would definitely recommend the Aveeno lotion! My skin is very sensitive and the lotion doesn’t burn/sting at all. It hydrates very well and the effects last longer than any product I’ve tried before β€οΈ

I’ve never done an escape boat! I did the rooms and they were fun.

It was brilliant! Although slightly scary at times as it was our first escape experience. The time we had left kept being announced which was really daunting and the hour went by so so fast π I would love to do an escape room one day! Thank you for reading πβ€οΈ
