12 days of Xmas 2018: Day 8 – Winter is here

In the car I used to put my headphones in and waste away the time

The world would zoom by and it made for a shorter climb

But when I started to take notice of nature’s battery free bliss

I broke free from the chain

Not knowing those journeys had been so plain.

Not a drop of snow

Despite them saying so

Winter is here

And that’s a cause for momentary cheer.
