2000+ of you! 💖 A new venture & A question!

Hi everyone! How are you today? ❤ It doesn’t feel real writing this but there are now a little over 2000 of you!! 😲 I’m at a loss for words (but somehow this post turned out to be quite long regardless! 🙈😂). THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! Saying that doesn’t feel like enough because your support and friendship means the world to me! 🌍 (It looks quite small as an emoji and that is slightly annoying but the meaning is still there! 😂)

You have helped me to grow as a person and proof of this is that I have decided to do something that I never thought I would….I’ve started an Instagram account!! I realize that to some this might not sound like anything big but I have put it off for a long time for a number of reasons, that is until the lovely Lee (over at Golden Pink Journal) convinced me to see otherwise, motivating me (and hopefully many others) to just go for it, I decided to do just that! I can’t stress the fact enough that I’m no photographer but I’m just going to have fun with it and use it to further stalk my favourite bloggers! 😏😂 I’m HERE so feel free to follow me if you want to!

It is in my personality to hide away from things that showcase me. I’ve always been incredibly shy and socially anxious (apparently it doesn’t show as much as it used to which is amazing as if it did then all those moments when I can’t get out would ultimately feel worthless, days out are rare and precious so I would love to think they aren’t going to be ruined by my perception of things). The blogging community is helping me to grow as a person and to become comfortable in being me through learning to love these aspects of myself as I truly wouldn’t want to change them fully as then I wouldn’t be me! 😌 I am becoming more confident through acceptance of myself and being the me that is often left behind closed doors (I’m sure that was once a goal I set myself on here so YAY! 😂). Chronic pain tries to take hold completely of my whole being and hide me away from the world and you have helped me want for something different than just settling for sinking away. I’m keeping hold of my dreams and I don’t plan on giving up anytime soon!

Now that was pretty deep!…🐟😂 Before I go I have a question to ask you that might spoil the happiness but I hope someone can put my mind to rest about it! What is with this whole GDPR thing?? I really don’t understand it 😓 Do those of us that aren’t self hosted and don’t choose to store information on others for our own benefit have to set up an EU cookie banner thing ect before the 25th? Or does none of it apply to us? I think I’ve done it by using a widget just to be safe but there doesn’t seem to be anything else available to comply with the rest of the rules 😖

I heard someone say that WordPress are working on an update for those of us that can’t get any of the plugins (fingers crossed this is true!) and then I’ve heard that some people are deleting their blogs/taking the comments option completely off of their sites out of worry 😧 I was thinking that there must be an update because otherwise WordPress would lose it’s community through those removing the comments sections on their sites 🤔 (the world would basically end! 😂). What do you think about it? (I pretty much just killed the celebration mood we had going on there didn’t I? 🙈😂).
