Bomb Cosmetics: Pool Party bath bomb review!

Hi everyone! How are you? 💙 Today I’m going to be reviewing the very cute Flock Star bath bomb by Bomb Cosmetics! I know it seems like I’m racing through using these bombs but I am trying so hard to space them out and stop myself because I want to save them! (I would keep them on display in my room forever if I could but then there is the possibility of mold in the freezing countryside weather which would break my heart with these pieces of art 😔😂).

A trend in these reviews (if they can even be called reviews) is that I am farely rambly (apparently I’ve just made up two words that I thought were real? 😂), this is because I take the facts I write in my notebook about the bath bomb after I have had the bath and go into a little dream state where I reminisce about it all and try to make the most of it, so the more rambles I have in a review highlights how much I loved the bomb I guess! 😂 (I realize now that I’ve said this it pretty much describes in a roundabouts way how I write every single blog post 😐😂). I love how each bath bomb I have tried so far is unique from the one used before it and can’t wait to share this one and it’s differences with you too! 😄 Here it goes!

Fragrance

The bomb smelt like a breath of fresh air and reminded me faintly of the Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume 😍 (I only know how that smells because I got it for my sister for Christmas and the tester has been stored in my bedside cabinet since! 😂) It was exactly how it feels to breathe in air early in the morning!😍 🌬😂

Appearance

It was blue with a cream shea butter design on top like a splash of water and had a cute yellow rubber duck rested on top (before I used it I was unsure if it was a rubber duck or if it would melt down so I was pleasantly surprised when it stayed intact as a duck with no beak would have been horrifyingly sad to watch disintegrate 😫😂).

When it was dropped in the bath the bomb transformed the water into a deep turquoise shade of blue and it was incredible. This was the first bomb I have ever used where the colour of the water has noticably changed and so I couldn’t not take pictures! It looked like the sky had been captured and held in my bath 😂 The cream (shea butter) on top melted into a light foam that added clouds to the sky and then the duck popped up (fully intact thank goodness! 😂).

Experience

Judging by the appearance of the water I expected it to be a bit like a gel (blue automatically makes me think of gel 😂) and I wasn’t wrong although it wasnt like it in a horrible gooey way, it was like it in that you could feel that the water wasn’t just water alone (if that makes sense? 🙈😂). It soothed my skin and both that alongside the scent made for a relaxing experience!

Verdict

This bomb in contrast to the other bombs I have used before didn’t make me feel tired, in fact I came away feeling awake and revitalized! Even though unlike past bombs the fragrance fades away quickly afterwards I didn’t mind because I reckon the scent as nice as it was could have become overpowering after a while 😂 I should mention that I did come away with a couple of red blotches on me legs that went away after a while and didn’t hurt but in all honesty I don’t think that had anything to do with the bomb. A reaction of some sort has come to be expected with my Raynaud’s as maybe it was because of it being a cold day and having a bath with hot water? (Does my body want me to have a bath with cold water or something!? 😂). I would definitely recommend this bath bomb as it was such a lovely surprise to have the water completely change, the perfume was beautiful and i got the free rubber duck (although it may not have been free now that I think about it, it could have been included in the price? 🤔 But then I got it as a present didn’t I so it was a free within a free for me! Win win! 😂).

Thank you for reading! 😉 (I think this might be more emojis than I’ve used in any of my other posts 😂). Have you tried this bomb before? What did you think of it? Let me know and have a lovely day! 💙

    1. I would recommend any bomb cosmetics one’s if you ever do. I’m glad there’s someplace other than Lush to get them as they don’t have a store where I live. Thank you for reading 😄❤
