Gingerbread Man Bath Bomb by Beautifully Scrumptious review!

Hi everyone! How are you? ❤ Today I’m going to be reviewing another bath bomb! This time it’s the Beautifully Scrumptious Gingerbread bath bomb that I used at the beginning of the year when I was getting over the worst of the flu. Correct me if I’m wrong but Beautifully Scrumptious aren’t a well known brand compared to the likes of lush or bomb cosmetics and so I was all the more intrigued to give it a go in case I’d found a hidden gem! 💎 (This was the second bomb I have tried by them). I originally had the bath because I was having a flare up of terrible joint/muscle pain in my right leg and so I thought this particular bomb would do the trick of soothing it alongside having a relaxing soak. I can’t wait to share my opinion of it with you, so here we go!

Fragrance

The bomb had a strong ginger scent that instantly cleared my brain (I had been unaware it could be cleared to that extent though 😵😂).

Appearance

The bomb was in the shape of a gingerbread man and I’m not going to lie, when it was fizzing away it looked kind of morbid like a little human body 😶 I felt like I was witnessing something I shouldn’t have been 😂.

It was very heavy and as this was just gone Christmas it made me feel like I had a leftover festive treat to say farewell until next Christmas 😂.

It dissolved upon being popped into the bath and turned the water a murky yellow that reminded me of the honey, ginger and lemon drink doing the rounds in the house at the time 😂

Experience

As soon as I set foot in the bath something felt bit off in how it was affecting both of my legs, it made them go red and really sore and tight so I immediately thought that maybe either having a bath in pain or having a bath with this particular bomb had been a bad idea 😂 I decided to not waste it and stayed in the bath and made the most of the sweet aroma of ginger which was heavenly and hoped that the glycerin it was advertised as having would moisturize, nourish and soften my skin (If there was a fingers crossed emoji I would use it right now because I so wanted for this bomb to turn out well 😂).

Verdict

The bomb cleared my sinuses and helped the flu on it’s way but it didn’t relieve my muscle pain and I would go as far as say that it made it worse. I wouldn’t recommend this bomb to anyone who suffers from Raynaud’s (as I can only guess that in making me go red with a burning sensation it was to do with a flare up of this? or at least I hope so! 😬😂) or anyone that has sore, dry skin but then at the same time there are different levels of sensitive skin and so this might work for others so don’t let me put you off giving it a go! This bomb certainly had it’s pros and cons but I wouldn’t write that away as a problem of the brand itself as like I mentioned earlier I have tried one of their other bombs (I think it was in the shape of a cupcake! 😍) in the past and it was brilliant and so this was just the off chance that I had a not so good experience with a product.
