My sister got a car! 🚗

Hi everyone! How are you today? As you can tell by the title of this post something amazing has happened! My sister Kate got her first car yesterday evening!! It is a Volkswagen Golf .My sister has always loved cars since she was little and has dreamt of the day she can have her own one for ages and that day finally came!! 

When we were younger we would make roads in our garden out of skipping ropes and drive around on our go-kart and bikes. And when we were inside we would draw up roads and use all my sister’s mini replica cars to drive around. Happy days! 😂

 She needs to take her test but we will be out of the driveway soon and will go places! So meet Vicky the Volkswagen! 😂 I prefer Valerie but Vicky’s okay too I suppose 🙄😂 Kate said maybe valerie-vicky and I love the sound of it!

 The first song played in the car was “Friday I’m in love” by the Cure and it felt so magical, we just grinned at eachother and said this is our car song!! We will always remember this moment! (I tried to make it more special by saying the song is on and it’s actually Friday but that was probably the reason it was on anyway 😂) I only just listened to that song yesterday morning too!  Everything after that was a series of firsts. I squashed a moth by accident and said “first moth squashed in the car!” A bird pooped on the door “first bird to poop on the door!” Lucky thing! 🐦😂. Since Kate has been waiting for this day forever she has aquired quite the collection of car supplies 😂..Lots of cleaning sprays, accessories and over 23 air fresheners (I stopped counting when I got into the multipacks as there were just too many 😂) First one being used is swizzles rainbow drops and it is delightful! 😂

We put one of our dogs, Toby the cavachon in the back seat with us but he started crying, he got the wrong idea and thought we were tricking him and taking him to the groomers 😬 calm down now Toby, you were only just there on Wednesday 😂 we’re not evil! 😂 the main giveaway that we weren’t going anywhere should have been our family car blocking us from moving 😂 this is not a flying car Toby, no matter how much we would like it to be! 

 The number plate has L.K written on it as it is from Limerick but we immediately thought “Kate and Lucy!” (our names) 😄 We spent over an hour sitting in the car not even realising how dark it was getting outside. Just in complete awe! and then we got out to put a “David Bowie fan on board” sticker on the back (can I just say this car has a lovely bottom! 😂) After that I climbed in the boot…You know just for testing purposes! 😂..What’s that you say? “Did it pass the test?” ..😮..Oh yeah sure, very stable! 👍😂 

Me: it would be cool to get in the boot! 🙏

Kate: go on get in!

Me: I thought you’d never ask 😏😂

 After that, the key got stuck when we tried to lock the boot and Kate hit herself pulling it out 🤕😂 but we couldn’t stay mad at it for long! Karma would probably see to it that the car would blow up or something before the first trip 😂 nice car!! We love you car!! 😯😯😦.. 😌😂
